She was using you for a boost of security/comfort/affirmation that she's desirable/affirmation that her life isn't actually as messy as she's afraid it is), it was an afterthought. Any person who is serious about "being honest" with an ex they're reconnecting with will be on MUCH better behavior than this girl was from the get-go. For the record, she's also setting you up to be the "psycho ex who won't leave her alone" if things get back on track with ol dreads and you have understandably mixed your feelings up in her once again.

You already got a ton of great advice but I'm going to add some more based on my recent breakup. I'm older than you and dated a girl for nearly 3 years. We were supposed to get married this summer. I broke up with her beforehand.

You already got a ton of great advice but I'm going to add some more based on my recent breakup. I'm older than you and dated a girl for nearly 3 years. We were supposed to get married this summer. I broke up with her beforehand.
