The gender wage gap only looks at full time workers. The biggest contributor to the 'lifetime earnings gap' is that most women who have kids either stop working or work part time. This is the majority of women. Therefore, the majority of women are removed from the feminist 'gender wage gap'. When the kids are old enough to no longer need supervision, they rarely return to work full time.

Imagine legally enforced 'gender equality' at least after the youngest kid is old enough to no longer need supervision. The woman would be required to support herself. This way the man could take the money/resources that would have been spent on her and instead redirect the resources to his own children

This would be the biggest contributor to closing the lifetime earnings gap, and be better for children. But modern women have a sense of entitlement to be provided for. This adversely affect children.
