A STEM degree will increase a persons financial productivity.
A gender studies degree will not increase a persons financial productivity, but may in fact decrease their financial productivity.
This is because there is a demand for people with STEM degrees and STEM skills and STEM experience.
There is almost NO demand for people with gender studies degrees (I will not reciprocate the STEM list with skills and experience, as I don't believe it's possible to attain skills and experience in gender studies).
