So, the wife (34) and I are deciding to get vasectomy. Pretty simple procedure here and covered by insurance. My wife is getting to the age where wouldn't want to have kids anyways as there is an increase in medical issues. Besides that, it's tough for my wife and I to be active parents. It takes effort for us, so having more kids and not giving them enough attention would be heart wrenching.

So, is vasectomy a good option. I know there is pretty much no going back with a high success rate and honestly, that wouldn't happen anyways unless something tragic occurred. I told my brother and he said "Don't lose your power as a man" and "a sterile man is less sexually desirable" so I should get her tubes tied, which is very invasive. I thought that was funny.

What do you guys think?
