Hey, all. I'm going to pat myself on the back for a moment, because it's important to celebrate personal victories and I'm just really fucking happy about this one.

Since 2007, I've tipped the scale at above 200 lbs. At the beginning of 2013, I was weighing in around 235. I'm 5'8". I'm built to be stocky, but this was not okay.

Well it's been a year of renewed effort on the front of nutrition and portion control, and this morning I was fucking elated when I stepped on the ol' scale and it read 199.4. Lightest I've been in 6 years. And the best part? I celebrated by doing exactly what I do every fucking day: stick to my system. Black coffee, small breakfast of bacon and eggs, and nothing else until dinnertime. I've finally acquired some discipline at the table, and that feels better than if I'd lost 70 lbs.

Next up in 2014: lose another 40 lbs. of fat, gain 10 of muscle.
