Ok, I went to a new salsa place today. There was only about 5 pairs, including the instructor. None of the other guys had danced before. I'm only a beginner but a couple of women complimented me.
I used this boost to start chatting to some stunning italian girl during one of the 5 minute breaks. Basic small talk, digging a bit deeper into why she was in the country. This was literally her first day there (she's a friend of the instructors wife).
I asked what she was up to later and she said she's going to a bar later with the instructors wife and invited me along. I didn't want to tag along too much and slot myself into a friendly vibe so I didn't push on that.
She'll likely be around for the next few months in the country and it's likely she'll be at this class again next week.
Any suggestions on escalating? I've already danced with this girl for 2 hours today on and off. I essentially just want to get her out on her own. Would anybody consider tagging along to some party later and then trying to isolate later in the night?
Should I just drop it and invite her out alone next week if I see her again?
