Voting for a women based on her gender isn't "feminist." 813 upvotes | November 8, 2016 | by [deleted] ------------------------- My entire feed is filled with #Imwithher and "Can't wait to vote for the first female president," and "Making history." There is nothing about issues, just gender. * If feminists were about gender equality the gender of Clinton would not matter, because the genders are so similar that one cannot determine an actionable difference. They have asked us to view high level corporate jobs in this way. * If feminism was about gender equality, it would be called gender equality, not feminism. I have tried asking many women why they refer to their movement like this, because it excludes men and all I have heard in response is that I'm a misogynist, whatever that means now. * I see the fear of people afraid to speak out on this. Do not fear losing those who want you to fear questioning their ideologies. ------------------------- Archived from https://theredarchive.com/post/39509
