How does bisexuality help you with women? (self.altTRP)

submitted by [deleted]

I'm probably a 0.5 on the Kinsey scale. That is, I only pretty much want to fuck girls, but I do recognize which guys are attractive or not. (So maybe I'm just straight guy with a highly attuned sense of 'attractiveness'? Idk)

It's helped me by helping me identify which physical features I find attractive in guys, and therefore how that will help me. For instance, I've noticed that I perceive guys with shoulders significantly broader than their hips as more attractive. I have relatively narrow shoulders, so I've begun targeting my shoulders more at the gym.

Any other ways how I could use bisexuality to help with women?

Pansexual here, I've learned that the biggest help to being of multiple partners is the freedom of choice. Women usually shape up if they want you because they know you have MUCH more options and some get nervous even when you hang out with straight friends.

Very interesting. Can you go a little more in depth on how women react to your sexuality? Does it generally help you with one sex or the other?

Depends on the race and open-mindedness. I've found black women will just dismiss me. White and other races see it as a challenge, I'm completely masculine even when I'm with males.

How long after first meeting a woman that you take interest in do you bring up the topic of your sexual preferences?

Depends usually I wait till something about alternative sexuality comes up in conversation

Men appreciate masculine men. It has nothing to do with sexuality. Men are always sizing up those around them, assessing both as a threat (I bet I could take him) and as a celebration of their masculinity.

We do this in part because we'd like to have something they have (bigger shoulders). Its also theorized that we do it because we are gauging how well they would fit into our 'tribe' - how well they would fight at our side. Its enjoyable to be around masculine men because of that fraternal bond and has no reflection on your sexuality.

Bisexuality will not help you with women, at least not overtly. Homosexuality is still heavily stigmatized with effeminacy. Women will see any hint of same sex attraction as weakness.

TL;DR: Every guy does that

It helps because it removes the pedestal. Oh, you don't want to give me the time of day? That's alright, I can go flirt with this guy instead. You want back into my game/fun zone? Better qualify yourself dear, or I'm going back home with Mr. Burlesque Club DJ, talking about wine, music, and anal stimulation, cause hell, that's more interesting then anything you've shown me tonight.

The fact that you don't describe to the traditional, religious, homestead, one partner only, virgin at marriage etc guidelines/social thinking, implies/tells them it's alright to talk about sex. You're not going to shame them for sleeping with 16 guys in the last 3 weeks, because hey, you probably did too, right? Guys? Right? ( You probably didn't sleep with 16 guys in the last 3 weeks. If you did, props to you.)

It hurts because as GM3d6 said, as soon as they catch wind, some women will instantly disqualify you.

It also hurts because some women will jump on a higher pedestal or perch, which mainly depends on how "gay" you act around them.

For example, I'm a relatively masculine guy. I go hiking, dabble in wilderness survival, I'm 230 pounds at 6 foot even, close cropped hair... You get the picture. Women respond normally, some are surprised if I hit on a guy or tell them about that amazing blowjob I got from another guy, but won't break stride because I've shown myself to be, in the easiest terms "mostly straight". I sleep with the occasional guy, but prefer women, and it's obvious in day to day life.

Conversely, there's times I hang out with my Burlesque friends, and dress up like a bear. Leather collar, chaps and vest, even closer cropped hair, no beard.

I hit on guys, it works well for me. I hit on girls, they either reject me as GM3d6 explained, or get very snowflake-special.

"oh my gosh, I'm turning this super gay guy STRAIGHT! How fuckin' special must I be to do that! I better give him the run around, since I'm more interested in the validation that sleeping with him!" With the last part being subconscious, and rarely worded in their mind.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
