Women want a strong decisive Chad to lead them - whether they admit that or not.

I lost it once... really, really big-time with a major player I'd hired to run operations for me. He had previously run an entire country for a $100 billion company. He seemed liked a godsend.

He was fucking crazy: crazy effective, crazy efficient, crazy intelligent, crazy expectations - but he was also just crazy.

He created his own reality, he existed in his own reality, he forced everyone around him to be in his reality. While there was an insane amount of productivity and performance, it was just too much - he drove me and everyone around me fucking nuts.

Especially the people reporting to him. I had professionals in tears, I had other professional suffering existential crises. It could not continue.

So I tore into him.

He left the office, went to the hospital, and had a quadruple bypass. It was apparently very touch-and-go.

True story.

Craziest fucker I've met in a long time.

Edit: But christ I learned a lot from that dude.

Sounds like a guy with solid frame and the skill to pull others into it....

[–]johneyapocalypseThe one that says "Bad Motherfucker"0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yah, it sure sounds that way. It has taken me a couple years to appreciate how much I learned from that dude. The thing is, it was not so much solid frame and skill as it was irrationality. I'm cool with irrational to a degree. But this guy was a legitimate pathological liar - really, really weird, really fascinating, really odd - he just created his own version of reality and if all the facts on earth didn't align with his version - to hell with everyone.

Combine that with the sheer intensity of his pressure-driven style and it was just too much.

  • Short-term it was hell for all of us.
  • Long-term his results were substantial.

My own capabilities were dramatically impacted for the better under him (well, over him since I was his boss) - even if at the sake of my own sanity - so all-in-all he was a great thing for me.

Dark triad is usually pretty effective - the real question is whether he was self-aware and it was part of the game or not.

You know, it really depends. My employees are lower tier because of the pay I'm able to offer. I haven't had to do it for years, but in the past, it has been helpful to throw something at the wall, just so that they know I can do it.

I wish I could just do the old "Win Friends and Influence People" but it only works (if at all) at a certain level. It could have worked when I was in programming, but that's totally different.

The lowest paid person who works for me is making about $70k.

Different class of professionals I suppose.

Like everything, tailor to the audience as needed.

Different class of professionals I suppose.

Very much so. I wish I could pay that much.

Shit, I read that as...

"but in the past, it has been helpful to throw them into a wall, just so they know I can do it."

Lol.

Works in reverse, too. If you are witnessed being chewed out by a superior or letting someone get one over on you (such as being a pushover boss or employer, letting contractors fuck you on price/work) you'll be in for some fitness/shit tests galore as you lose a peg in her eyes.

Deal with it by embracing it. Also, slip a copy of God Method Method into his reading library. The employee he told off most likely got what he deserved. Don't feel bad by your husband unloading on dead weight. Look, I own a business with about 40 employees. If you don't keep them in line with strong alpha leadership, they'll walk on you like children walking on a weak parent, but the difference is, the employees will eat your proverbial lunch (i.e. directly costs your husband's business $$$). He should flush the dead weight like the $hit that it is, and let his strength turn you on in and out of the bedroom.

Women don't want to look like they want an alpha. They want the world to think they want the "kind, sensitive type" (a.k.a. beta). My guess is that it's because they don't want to feel/seem primitive or primal. They want to be "more evolved" than their primitive instincts. They feel like they SHOULD want the betas – because BB, and they can walk all over them and get what they want – but their primal instincts (what's really driving them, though they won't admit it) want the alpha. Which in today's world means the assertive corporate boss. At least this one would admit it (and the comments). It's hilarious that they're talking about it like it's some weird kink that no one has ever talked about before.

[–]fivenineattack1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Wonder if most women feel like it? I guess they do, they just repress it, not quite sure why.

[–]virtualvirgincake21 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't like to admit they love dominant men as that would prove the last 100 years of feminism to be a lie

[–]JameisBong0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's the assertiveness that got her going. Some women like that because it displays dominance.

[–]RedPillCoach0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is not a "kink." This is normal female behavior. We have several aphorisms to describe it in the popular culture such as:

Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.

Women are attracted to powerful men. Their little midges get all soaked when one man dominates another- ESPECIALLY when HER man dominates another.

It is not a bug. It is a feature.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
