STOICS... (self.asktrp)

submitted by INNASKILLZ2K18

Ok guys, so I'm going to delve into reading the stoics.

For those of you who have, what are the recommended readings?

Appreciate it.

Meditations, Seneca’s Letters, the Enchiridion.

But it’s also worth reading a modern stoic guide/interpretation like “A Guide to the Good Life” to understand stoicism as a daily philosophy of life.

Thanks. Was able to find all those pretty quickly.

Yes. The stoic or ancient philosophers. Where stoicism originated.

Epictetus Discourses too. A guide to the good life talks about the dichotomomy of control and he puts his own spin on it. just be aware of that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
