Urgent SOS: Just got hit with a false rape accusation. (self.asktrp)

Dear men. I've been active on this forum for years now and I have read many of these. I would have never thought that this would ever happen to me but it just did. I feel like this is becoming an epidemic and not even a relatively low lying guy who would never harm a fly like me is safe.

I live as a digital nomad in a South East Asian country. I have a few plates and do the occasional Tinder. Matched with a cute girl and we got along. First red flag was that she blocked and unblocked me several times before we met because she was "unsure". Early sign of some mental problems.

We met, went to a scenic spot. Kissed there. Went home. She took a shower while I was just chilling and came out of the bathroom naked and things happened. Also a red flag as this is quite errativ behaviour. We had sex three times that night, the third time she started crying because "my dick was too big for her". I immediately stopped, comforted her and we went for some food.

Never met her again. Since then she has sent me crazy page long love letters, nudes and even pics of her fucking other guys. I knew I was knee deep in trouble as this is all bipolar/borderline kinda behavior. I refrained from blocking her since I knew it could trigger her. She has tried to meet me again several times and I have chatlogs of her trying to arrange transport to meet me again saying I should fuck her hard and so forth.

She was into some light bdsm and she texted me stuff like "rape me" "kidnap me" and I replied in a sexy way. Huge red flag. I finally blocked her and that triggered her to make a fb post in a huge local expat group with my full name and phone number. She would only post a short excerpt of my text where I said some light bdsm stuff and a claim I raped her and some other woman (total lie) and that I was a influencer (which I am not).

The post got 200 replies before it got shut down (even the admins found her claims fishy) and I got a lot of hate mails (but also some supportive messages). The supportive guys said this happens a lot and because of my foreigner status I would not have to worry and should just move on and ignore her.

Keep in mind that this woman posted no real evidence and just some claims. My reputation took a big hit and if she takes this any further I am in real danger and my familiy's reputation is, too.

What is the status quo: I considered leaving this country but this would damage me financially in a great way as my livelihood is here. I have a Western passport and saved all the evidence mentioned above. The girl keeps contacting people in my friendlist with obviously crazy messages. I blocked her while saving all messages and urged my friends to save everything. I know I am in the right but this is Southeast Asia and police can be corrupt and unpredictable. I will firstly contact my embassy to inform them of this matter and send them all the evidence.

For me she only wants attention and to ruin my alleged "influencer reputation" so I don't think she will actually go to the police and she must know thay I have all the evidence including her sending me homemade porn long after we met. As I said I have only met her once and also told my friends about this crazy stalker.

What would you do? Leaving the country could almost seem like an admission of guilt and would put me in financial peril. I would also prefer not to talk to my parents about this for obvious reasons but I'd have to ask them for assistance if I were to leave.

As I said the post got deleted. I have decided not to post a rebuttal.for now as this could trigger her craziness even more. Should she post on other groups I would post my evidence and probably start talking to a lawyer. Obviously I would prefer to not deal with this any further.

Lessons: Never ever ever ever stick your dick in crazy even with the slightest hint. Be careful with dating, even the most unsuspecting men can be hit with this shit. Only engage in light BDSM with mature women 25+ who are stable. Also fucking around is not worth this kind of trouble.

Please let me know what you'd do and I will keep you updated too. Thanks for everything guys, this has proven even more to me how important it is that you, that we, exist.

TAKE HER TO THE FUCKING CLEANERS. Without being privy to the details the evidence you’ve put forth should make a sufficient case for defamation. Get yourself a CLOSER/SHARK of a lawyer. Don’t have one? Ask anyone successful in your networks. They’ll have connections to one.

After you’ve reached settlement post about YOUR SIDE of the experience online on whatever platforms you use. Frame each post towards how you were reluctant to take action; that you didn’t want to pursue the issue but were left NO choice. It doesn’t have to be detailed; the purpose is to win BACK your influence/reputation by stating facts(generally) whilst painting the applicant as the offender and you the innocent respondent.

Or don’t. Objectively this situation could be beneficial if handled correctly.

Which country are you in? You should speak with a local lawyer, this would be money well spent if for nothing more than your peace of mind right now. If you're in Thailand, post this on the thailand subreddit or on thaivisa and they can help you with specific recommendations.

I don't know about the lawyer sitch there. But pick at least one trusted friend to be your champion, should shit go really south....

Like, the friend who is going to make sure you're reachable, and if not reachable, he will call your consulate to advise them you might be in police custody and investigate. This person should have numbers for you, for the consulate, and for your family, plus a copy of all your evidence. Maybe best if not based in Indonesia.

If you actually get in trouble with the law, drop the shield you're trying to maintain between this mess and your family. It's worth a little embarrassment/shame/parental judgement to get the fucking cavalry out and I hope they would have the same priorities.

Yup, this has shown me that it might not be worth it for all the risks and lack of legality one has in country's like this. Can live in Singapore, HK, make more money (arguably on less free time) and come here for vacation.

For the most part, the law is a list of banned actions or behaviors and the fines or penalties associated with them. When the police "enforces" the law, someone is getting penalized or threatened with a penalty. They don't give you money or reward for being a good law abiding citizen. You have other stuff like contract disputes or other civil matters, but that is not a police matter.

Research how the police work in that country. In the West you should never speak to the police without a lawyer present. The police always exist to arrest and imprison people - nothing you say to the police will ever improve your situation, only make it worse.

Don't admit to even seeing her. Don't admit to having had sex with her. You want the prosecution (if it comes to that) to have to prove sex, which is obviously very hard to do. You don't want to be in the situation where you have admitted to sex and now you have to prove consent.

In short: say nothing to the police, seek legal advice, but do research the laws and culture in your situation.

She's actually unlikely to go to the police because she knows she's lying, but do be prepared (all evidence ready, backups everywhere you can think of in case all your shit gets confiscated, etc)

2.) If he doesn’t strongly recommend against leaving than leave. You’re a “digital nomad” it shouldn’t matter where you live.

4.) Move to another country with a legal system that at least isn’t biased against westerners.

Update: She contacted all of my friends that she could find through my social media and some local friends calmed her down. She contacted me again and I did a full beta like you said to try and deescalate. It seemed to have worked and my friends say she won't go to the police. I still consider to make an exit to my home country to regroup and then head to my Plan B country and continue.

Lesson learnt: if you fuck a girl hard she'll need a lot of comfort or she will feel used.

I don't know how lawsuits work, never been part of one, but if possible i would demand that she will get the same sentence as as you would have gotten, if it had been as she claims.

She could practically have ruined the rest of your life, and frankly even when proven not guilty, there will always be those who doubt. It will have lasting effects on your life, and so it should not be treated lightly, to falsely accuse of such terrible actions simply for attention.

Document everything, but one of the most important things when documenting is to make sure you through in dates timestamps so it doesn’t look doctored.

My mom is a attorney, she always says that people are smart and and smart people have smarter friends who photoshop and alter things to push false narratives. So take screenshots but also take real pictures with another phone or and make sure the dates times full context is shown.

Give that shit to a lawyer your trust. Don’t post anything online, don’t delete anything either
