This is a rant

I lurked here and on the main subbreddit since around 2 years and the quality of posts has decreased a lot;

I see a lot of "girl asks my body count, what do I say UwU", "ex recontacted me, what does that mean" and multiple 5 paragraph posts about one girl just to know how to answer one text that nobody cares about.

Or even worse, that post about the LTR that went to a marine party instead of going to the guy's own party, cmon bro, this isn't even redpill, this is common sense.

Read the goddamn sidebar, it's not that long, then read the rationale male, literally half of the questions asked on this sub are answered there.

If I have a question I always start with a Google search of site:reddit.com/r/asktrp/ followed by question and almost always find the answer. There's years of amazing advice for just about anything that's already been answered.

[–]TRPCops[M] 19 points20 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Fyi you can't link to anywhere (even the sub, seems silly but automod tools are weak). I approved the post because it's useful.

Next time obscure the actual hyperlink. Here it was slash r slash that did you in.

[–]realname312 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why I love Reddit, because just about every question has been asked and answered.
Your question is not special.

[–]unn4med2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks!!

[–]yzeetrA2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

this, have probably spent over 50 hours easily in the past month

[–]Fromstatepharm1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Smart

[–]ElegantCyclist1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The kind of people who can do this don't ask many questions. They read, they learn, they implement.

The kind of people who can't do this ask all the questions.

[–]Pork_Sword328 points29 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

It’s not your problem, man. That’s why a lot of repeated questions here that are already answered on the sidebar either go unanswered or are answered by people who don’t have any kind of firm grasp on TRP. Just scroll past them and not give a shit, use your time to benefit yourself than worry about the quality of posts on either sub and wasting time to rant over them. We were lucky enough to be here during the golden days of TRP. Now a lot of it is recycled field reports or guys that struggle to disgust the pill. Other guys that don’t have the time to read the sidebar and try and shortcut to get an answer aren’t going to get very far. It’s on them to read the sidebar, not us.

[–]SebastianValdes0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

Can you share the sidebar link?

[–]Pork_Sword31 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Go to the red pill main page on reddit and go to community info which is what the side bar is or if on a desktop browser, the sidebar will be on the right hand side of the webpage.

[–]lukeramones20 points21 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

You sir should read the sidebar yourself. If on reddit you can't apply the IDGAF attitude it says a lot what you are like in real life. And I did not know people should be gatekeeping TRP? I rather read questions from people who might really just want to verify what they read from the sidebar, find verification of their understanding than to read rants of gatekeepers like you

[–]deathhandmachiavelli8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

If on reddit you can't apply the IDGAF attitude it says a lot what you are like in real life.

Well said, when I see people here get angry about post etiquette, I think to myself they must have never had to deal with some REAL shit in life.

[–]Guitarjack872 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is dumb. TRP has been 'gate-kept' since the beginning so it doesn't devolve into a stupid meme sheep filled shit hole that self validates and whines about dumb shit like the rest of Reddit. There needs to be standards to this stuff, especially since this community is widely hated and has a huge spotlight on it on this fucked website. This sub, asktrp, tends to be a lot of people who are just getting introduced to this mindset, and they ask a lot of dumb questions. The WHOLE FUCKING AESTHETIC of this community is not to pander or patronize, and to make sure the person is following the basic tenants of fucking common sense before posting.

You don't apply the 'IDGAF' attitude to regular life you dolt. That is how you get fired from your job for slacking off, or get your boss thinking you don't take him seriously, or lose out on an investor because he doesn't think you are driven enough.

Is the side bar on the app

[–]havoc8657 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, on the main subreddit page click the 3 dot button in top right corner, then select “community info”

Do you live under a rock

[–]CSauceHockey-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Off me

[–]deathhandmachiavelli6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Just relax about the sidebar.

Why get so mad about this?

I like it when people ask questions and like to discuss things.

The REAL answer to your question? The sidebar is helpful and provides information, but a post and a discussion has more life and is much more interesting.

[–]R17812 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

A rant about other people ranting. Lol

[–]PM_ME_CASH9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Didn't read don't care stay mad.

[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why can't people read the goddamn sidebar before asking questions here?

Because they hear "TRP get you lade" and have the attention span of a gnat

[–]WIA20XX2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

On the Reddit mobile app, you gotta hunt it down. On desktop, it is much easier to notice.

But dudes like to be spoonfed like babies.

[–]RedSkeller2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I suggest you do what I did and take a break. Don't feel obligated to help the noobs who can't even walk to the water and drink. I'll reply to a good post but I'm done trying to cover these lazy fucks.

[–]oldguy_19812 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

The problem with the sub is (most of) the more active users will be new(ish). Once somebody internalizes the tools, there isn’t much discussion left to be had.

I’d rather the newbies ask the questions to still have an active sub; sometimes the responses are overly hostile (ie “read the sidebar faggot”).

[–]thebadguy891 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. Having an active sub is actually really important, something we take for granted. If no one's asking questions then no one's around to answer them, creating a cycle of deadness

[–]SoloQueueXL3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Dumb mother fucker the red pill sub still exists. If your dumb ass is posting here clearly you aren’t a 2 year lurker

[–]BombasticBobby1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I wonder what questions you would have posted two years ago?

[–]MurkyArtichoke1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree to some extent, but what would the purpose of this sub be if not for asking questions like that? If everything could be answered in the sidebar we would only need the main sub. I do however think people should read more and then ask questions to further elaborate that. Way too many over-the-top silly questions with little context.

[–]thebadguy891 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I totally see your point but to be fair...

There's a ton of TRP material. Noobs come here and get overwhelmed. You can't understand everything in 1 readthrough and instantly apply all of it.

Asking stupid questions here, getting feedback, realizing that "oh maybe this is the area I'm struggling in let me read that section in closer detail" is part of the process.

[–]MegaFanZX1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

read the sidebar

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I will say this....actually taking TRP, actually digesting this material, it's hard.

[–]InsidiousCurve1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd say most of the posts are from people who know, but are seeking attention/ validation for the decision they really don't want to make. After a while, everyone knows what they need to do to increase their SMV, they just need to keep pushing..etc.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe they just like to post an empty meaningless post (example: this post).

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone (including me) thinks them and their problems are special.

[–]zboo1h0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

People can't even use turn signals, you expect them to READ? Like, MULTIPLE words? Alright, buddy, sure.

[–]Sylvester_Sterone0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

In any field there will be people who ask continuous questions when they should have done the research with the information right in their face.

Believe me I taught a college class and students would ask the same goddamn questions.

“Read the syllabus”

[–]afterthe_fapocalypse0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

it's annoying when people aren't asking advice on how to improve themselves or their responses to the challenges in their lives. Instead when you see things like "where are the easy lays at" and other dumb posts, you can feel disappointment. But there are still good posts. Just downvote them and comment on how they aren't focusing on real game. They're looking for the easy fruit and littering on the sub.

[–]Nergaal0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

TBH, this is kinda the point of ASKtrp. But since TRP has been quarantined, people spend more time over here instead of in the main sub.

[–]vullnet1230 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't want to put the effort in, simple as that. When a bunch of below average men find this forum, they glance through the sidebar a bit, read "women are bitches blah blah", and expect us to hand everything to them in a silver platter.

[–]XT3M30 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

people want results the easy way, no one wants to put in work to get the gains. so rather than read and educate themselves, they want us to spoonfeed them the answer. which at this point, ill agree. the quality of question and some of the answers have severely declined over the past 2 years.

[–]ChemicalGiraffe0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Forget the sidebar, most questions have already been asked here.

[–]AdoptMeNotCrypto0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think this sub would benefit from a daily "Ask Anything" type of thread. Just get all the low quality shit in one place and enforce higher standards for actual threads.

[–]BurnoTaurus-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Its syptomatic of a deeper problem. There are people who seem to act solely on impulse within the restricitve frame of their incredibly linited knowledge and concept of the world at large. By which I mean there are people who cant fathom that either, another persons experience can be abstracted and applied to their own, or that to spend time awaiting a response on reddit is time you could just spend finding the information.

The same songs are released by new artists every year.

[–]AuberyBitoni-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This sub is literally called 'ask the red pill'. This sub is made to ask questions, you can just ignore the thread and move on with your life.

Some people man.. they complain about anything, why the fuck do you care? Stop crying little bitch.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
