Sometimes im the light of the room, i can move the room and control it socially. Sometimes i hate myself, i cant look anyone in the eye. Its gotten better through lots of practice meditation therapy lifting rejection etc.

But i was wondering what you guys thought of actual medication.

[–]AsianAway79 points80 points  (23 children) | Copy Link

If you have a legitimate medical condition, that’s what they’re there for.

I was diagnosed ADHD in my mid twenties and once I started medication, something clicked. My work and personal life excelled.

Coupled with the physical and benefits from lifting has made me into much more of a man than I could ever be alone.

Just don’t abuse it.

[–]KaiSmashSmashSawmash97 points98 points  (15 children) | Copy Link

Yeah meth is cool in pill form

[–]AshyBoneVR417 points18 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did at this...

[–]L2diy43 points44 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Basically this. You know Adderall and any form of amphetamine is illegal in Japan? Yet they don’t seem to be having the ADHD and ADD epidemic we do. Maybe it’s because those “diseases” are just a way for pharma companies to make bank. Most side effects from those ailments can be solved through meditation and working out

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Japan is not a good place to use as an example for mental health. They don’t give a shit over there and male suicide rates are even more high and disproportionate than in the States.

[–]SalporinRP3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah use the country with the highest suicide rate in the world as an example of good mental health lol

[–]Gandalfthegrey23232 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I have actually noticed this myself. I will say though the US plays a lot more contact sports than most countries. I mention this because I actually believe this contributes to the ADHD problems in the US. Getting your head hit a lot like in football can damage the frontal lobe of the brain. People with ADHD don’t have as much activity in the frontal lobe and that is why stimulants are prescribed. Stimulants increase blood flow to this region along with releasing dopamine.

We also consume large amounts of cannabis. Abusing cannabis can cause frontal lobe problems. All of my pot head friends in college needed adderall to study. They couldn’t retain information very well because their frontal lobe was always in recovery mode from being high.

But yes big pharma also pushes the quick fix pill. Some people don’t need it and it’s just easier to prescribe a drug than change life habits.

[–]clickherebaby0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Im a pothead and i never popped an adderall in my life. I graduated high honors in finance from nationally accredited business school. But i was shocked to find out how many potheads popped addys. One dude in particular, popped pills for everything. It was such an eye opening conversation. He now gets seizures. Still pops pills tho. Mind you this dude is a d1 swimmer and very intelligent.

[–]KaiSmashSmashSawmash0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

And the ones that just smoked pot usually dropped out

[–]PhaedrusHunt1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Umm in the late 90s early 2000s The penalty for meth was way less than it was for weed.

Such a work culture.

I knew tons of speed freaks.

Maybe it's changed. They actively gave the stuff to their soldiers during world War II.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Or maybe japanese people are different than white people generically and are predisposed to different conditions.

We dont turn red from drinking alcohol.

[–]Azora2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly, most ADHD is just a fucked up dopamine system because people too easily get instant gratification and don't have to work for their rewards. Internet, porn, processed food, entertainment are all culprits. Now people need a constant drip of dopamine (amphetamine) to have any motivation at all.

[–]Trip-trader0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

100% agree and depression mimics almost every bloody adhd symptom for a certain type of it for people who can’t focus. My doc gave me Adderall said I had adhd and it turned out I had sleep apnea and that was why I couldn’t focus. So many people take this prescription meth for no good reason.

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy Link

[deleted]

[–]RivenHalf5 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

I just started seeing someone for mine, hearing this gives me a lot of hope. Do you mind my asking what you were prescribed?

[–]AsianAway6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got started on Adderall XR but I found out that works too long for my taste.

Adderall IR 10MG once per day. I usually split the pill into 5MG and take tolerance breaks in order to keep my dosage low.

[–]acaliforniaburrito1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I’ve tried both instant and extended releases of adderall and didn’t like the effects long term, ended up liking Vyvanse a lot more...something to do with the protein of the drug...it’s been years so I’ve taken all that so apologies for not knowing the exact science behind it.

[–]RiderHood5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

+1 for Vyvanse. I don’t take it every day though. Maybe twice a week when I need to have a day of focus. I find the effects last for a few days.

[–]anish7141 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

What was the process you went through to get diagnosed?

[–]Trip-trader0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

You goto a doctor say you can’t concentrate and have a bad memory and always fidget and run late for stuff and they’ll give you a prescription for meth.

[–]anish7140 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Tbh, I really struggle with the mentioned problems. And I can hyperfocus like crazy when I am into something.

[–]exscionewhuman10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Medication quiets the parts of you that are out of wack. You can tell it's a chemical though. You can tell it's weird and artificial. That part of you beneath your emotions is still there, simply aware of being aware.

Drugs can't fix you if you have a toxic mindset. Pain you can't let go of. Negative and unhelpful coping mechanisms. They can give you an artificial sense of what it's like to feel "alpha". Not bullied or afraid. You still need friends or a good therapist to integrate after the drugs.

Drugs can't show you anything that wasn't already inside you. You can have all sorts of intense and various experiences without drugs. They can help you know that there is a different side of you though. You need to integrate those feelings into your life sober. Maybe you were lied to and abused from a young age and didn't even know what it felt like to be relaxed. That it was possible. stuff like that.

You are so much more than your life experience.

[–]king_g211 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This 100%, I didn't know how relaxed and mellow I could become until after drugs. It's weird, but after I realized that all the drugs were doing was bringing out the parts of me that were already there, I was able to self-medicate in a healthy manner (meditation) to bring out those senses naturally. It's been difficult, and sometimes I think about doing said drugs for the quick path to being mellow - and I might cave but it's definitely a journey I'm working on.

I'm not encouraging drugs, but an out of body experience has definitely given ME a different perspective.

[–]RiderHood10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Athol Kay’s Mindful Attraction Plan (Should be required reading) is very clear - getting your medications straightened out is a top priority. Mental health can be a real issue for TRP men. A LOT of us have pre-existing anxiety, trauma, shitty relationships causing depression, etc; which is part of what led us here in the first place. Talk to your doctor, there is no shame in taking medication. It’s an integral part of getting healthy and attractive. Also, there’s nothing saying you’ll be on the pills forever. Find what works and use it as a tool.

"Apparently" ???

Bro, Antidepressants fucks up A LOOOOOOOOOOT of shit in. Not just testosterone.

[–]Nergaal-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

not all antidepressants

[–]throwawaybpdnpd2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually, antidepressants will fuck a ton of stuff only if the person taking it is getting a “high” from it...

If you have depression/anxiety then it means that you are ALREADY fucked up in those ways, the SSRIs or GABA meds they’ll give you will help you be closer to reality as they procure some of what you’re missing

Lots of people who have anxiety are cured while medicated but lots of people who didn’t have it will have roasted their receptors by getting that same med for highs, then when they stop they’re stuck with anxiety for a lifetime

Lower testosterone levels are caused by depression/anxiety, not the meds. A lot of medicated people have high T levels

[–]Micmarr1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Indeed. Great stuff.

[–]youcantdenythat1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Except you need to keep raising the dose for it to keep working until it eventually kills you

As someone that has been in and out of benzo addiction for many years, tread carefully

[–]chrisindub2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Propranolol and Atenolol are amazing for social anxiety, public speaking etc..

And neither are habit forming or have significant side effects

It's like having instant NGAF

[–]Senior Endorsedmax_peenor1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Propranolol

Helps with headaches and high blood pressure too. Just make sure your doctor will keep you in a steady supply though. I have a friend that almost died three days after being cut off cold. (Not the doctor, but a doctor's office/pharmacy fuck up.)

[–]EnterTheN1nja1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I second this. I keep propranolol just for the most stressful situations like public speeches, job interviews, etc and it's great.

[–]G0rv5 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

For 30+ years I thought there was something wrong with me, having a hard time in social situations.

Then I changed mindset and realized that 98 % of the time I'm surrounded by idiots.

There's only a societal expectation that we all should spend time with each other at all times and enjoy it. But it is not a natural normal.

Yes you may experience having a problem in certain situations but what if it is the situations in themselves that are problematic, even dysfunctional. What is it that you actually want? You're the captain, you can configure the context and environment in almost any way you want to feel comfortable.

tl;dr If you don't like a party, leave. Don't pop a pill to endure it.

[–]isthisalreadyused5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s not that simple

[–]Hubblenobbin0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

realized that 98 % of the time I'm surrounded by idiots.

I was happy you came to this realization and expected the way I went: that means I don't have to worry about their opinion and I can have fun with them without consequence.

[–]SaharaFatCat1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

O just had a panic attack where I felt like I was having a heart attack. They were extremely helpful. But coping strategies needed too.

O got myself checked out just in case too.

[–]1XXXMersenne1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Capitalist society has everyone in competition playing status games (Money, resources, Bourgeois lifestyle etc). Your social status anxiety is a manifestation of your confusion as to your position in the local totem pole. When you feel you're the man and have all the "value" your charisma opens up and you can allow your self to be a normal guy. When this value is unclear you're not sure how cool you're allowed to be because a higher up might come & fuck with you to pipe down & stfu.

It's all in your head

Since this is in the context of social interactions I highly recommend you watch The BluePrint Decoded (Torrent & Download it). Although it doesn't cover medication per se, at various points it looks at the cause & effect relationships of anxiety in social situations. If you want to delve even deeper, deep this article.

Medication is Cash grab piggybacking of this by BigPharma. Instead of Encouraging you to live a more conscious, proactive lifestyle: Engage friends & family more, spend time in nature, minimize screens, Eat a clean organic diet; plenty proteins & monosat fats, pursue inclinations: paint, play, climb, dunk, shoot. Be more assertive & negotiate for transactions closer to win/win situations rather than being at the expense all the time. Instead of promoting that, they can put a simulation of its effects in a little orange container.

It's much harder to tell someone they're a pussy and should do the above; even harder getting them to follow through on it long enough to heal. Much easier & quicker to prescribe amphetamines & SSRIs. They can just patch you up and tuck you back into the system until your next major malfunction. Recurring revenue stream good for BigPharma bottom line, not so much for you. Don't get pimped, unsubscribe.

Nothing a beer or two can’t fix

[–]OfficerWade5 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Social anxiety won’t kill you and neither will what people think of you.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s the point. People with social anxiety aren’t able to escape it, they have to live through it.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]circlingldn2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Yetna3 points4 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

I’ve been on setraline and bupropion for anxiety depression for about 16 years now. I couldn’t imagine life without it. My testosterone is fine and sex drive is normal. Some people really do have bad wiring in the head. I would seek a doctor rather than listen to a bunch of nobodies in a thread though.

[–]RiderHood1 point2 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Wellbutrin is a wonder drug. Definitely improved my life.

[–]isthisalreadyused1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Did it help with adhd type symptoms, if you had them?

[–]RiderHood1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, but only to a point. I started taking it for anxiety/depression and by managing those symptoms I was able to be more focused. But recently I started taking Vyvanse a couple of times a week as well, if I need it, and that really helps with the adhd stuff.

[–]EnterTheN1nja1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I took it for granted after being on it for a few years and went off of it because I thought I was fine. My life spiraled downward so quickly after. Lost a six figure job, dropped out of school, and nearly lost my ltr. Once I realized what it was I went back on and I'm doing a lot better now. Definitely helps when you need it.

[–]krusecontrol912 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

There are apps and programs you can find that use video to practice too so it’s easier to start working on before you try with real people. I think I read about it a few years ago. Like eye contact apps is a good start for search keywords. Hope that helps

[–]Thiswaycomrads2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I suffer from sever anxiety attacks from time to time. Medication works really well. I actually prefer go be medicated anymore.

[–]SteveSan822 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I took clonopan for anxiety. It destroyed my short term memory and I was on a low dosage. It can keep you from cumming too.

I found just jumping into what is making me anxious works better

[–]Guinnessthemenace21 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Get a service industry or sales job. Exposure therapy at its finest for this type of thing, I’ve seen some of the meekest people you’ve met turn into natural extroverts though sheer exposure talking to strangers day in and day out.

[–]circlingldn0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

done that myself and it doesnt translate well into social life

best thing probably is to take meds and follow goodlookinglosers toolbook

[–]send_it_for_the_boys1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Once you get to a point when you’re really proud of yourself and feel good about who you are, social anxiety won’t really happen. You have to stop giving a fuck about what people are thinking and how they perceive you. For ME it’s as simple as I have an issue with putting people on pedestals and judging them and thinking lowly of myself and others. Work on YOU and owning your shit you just have to keep doing reps to get stronger at something man. Or you may look into cbd gummies if you are able to get them I hear they really help loosen you up a bit, and they don’t get you high. Just my 2 cents

The thing with mental health is that everybody seems to have an opinion about it but nobody has any real understanding of it. Medication is something that you need to discuss with a mental health professional. As someone who has seen and is being currently seen by one, I can tell you that not all professionals think that you need to be medicated. The consensus that all American health care professionals want to prescribe you medication is not untrue, but it's because health care professionals, like doctors, are not qualified to treat you psychiatrically. They are treating you with medication without taking you through what's called cognitive behavioral therapy.

You might have a genuine lack of chemical production in your brain causing you these issues. In that case, it is 100% acceptable for you to be on a prescription. A good example of this is people with severe psychosis. They're so out of touch with reality from hallucinations that they're literally not capable of stopping and having a discussion with the therapist to see what's going on. On the other hand, your anxiety or depression might be caused by external factors (work, school, and relationships, etc.) as opposed to internally (brain chemicals). In that case, it's okay to feel sad, depressed or anxious. You're supposed to have these feelings, but if they're getting in the way of your performance then you need to seek help. Sometimes, a healthcare professional can prescribe you a medication to get you back to normal with a plan to then take you off of them. The job of a professional healthcare specialist is to determine whether you have an internal problem or an external problem. When they find out what that is they're going to be able to come up with a plan to treat your issue.

[–]xeroedouttwice0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Klonipin sufficiently calmed me down enough to where I could handle social situations better, to the point where I got to experience sex for the first time. But it worked a little too well in that I became dependent on it, and things got out of control when mixed with alcohol. When I withdrew from it, it messed me up for about a month. That was a number of years ago, and while I've never been able to recapture that particular magic, I've developed resilience against SA in other ways.

Proceed with caution, talk to many doctors and build a solid profile of pros/cons. And continue your existing methods of self-kindness.

[–]Hypnot0ad0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I have the same issue. A little Sativa does wonders for me. ;)

[–]Koshi_the_yoshi0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Do what you gotta do to get better man.

That being said, I think the meds should only be used as a stepping stone. The end goal is to be well without using medication. Keep on working on yourself while you’re using the meds.

[–]ColdBeing0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The main thing about them is you don't want to be reliant on them. It's good in the short-term, just make sure you're going through therapy and keep exposing yourself to more social situations. That is really the only way to overcome social anxiety

[–]EvelynnSpoiler0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Phenibut. No more than twice a week maximum. Don't drink while you're on it.

Thank me later

[–]GulpAndCry0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

short term: xanax, alcohol

seriously, SSRIs... fluvoxatine and paroxteine (seperately) worked for me, but this should REALLY be a last resort, perhaps if depression is involved. SSRIs essentially put a maximum and minimum bandwidth on your emotions. You'll never be extremely happy, nor extremely sad (once you're accustomed to them). you'll last longer in bed and if you stay on them a while you'll probably come off them with PSSD. (google it)

In MY experience (social anxiety was the biggest obstacle i faced aged 14-22) The best medication for social anxiety is not giving a fuck and exposure. (google exposure therapy). Easier said than done, though. I went out to clubs (with and without alcohol) to improve my social skills and approach. I did yoga 3+ times per week. I stopped smoking weed every day and moved in with my ex-gf and a bunch of randoms (do NOT recommend, but it was the gladiator pit of hyper-socialisation which in hindsight I needed (see exposure)) - shortly after my oneitus (exgf) started hooking up with a chad who was 6'4,250lbs, had multiple ASBOs etc, and threatened me because i fucked her, but then i took acid for the first time... completely lost all resentment, moved on from her almost immediately (she is now married to aforementioned chad) , crammed TRP and Jordan Peterson, stripped the last remaining elements of SJW left within me, stopped taking SSRIs a few months later, started seriously lifting........

what a shit show. dm me if you want.

[–]SocketusPopetus0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

To much cocaine is bad for you.

[–]EnterTheN1nja0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Beta blockers like propranolol can be great for that with little side effects compared to most anxiety meds. They prevent some of the physical effects of anxiety like rapid heart beat. It's common for public speakers, musicians, and others to take them before performances, but anyone can benefit from them in stressful situations

[–]thexceropwn0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

You shouldn't take medication unless your case is a bad one. I once took mild anti depressants "zoloft" and I think it did make me more free and confident which is great but it took me literally 1 hour to orgasm. it has side effects, I wish it had none.

[–]pishposh440 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s okay to do however there are things you must know first: 1) There is risk of withdrawal when you discontinue and it can be a significant challenge. 2) You are treating a symptom but NOT the cause. You need to dig deep and figure out why you have inflammation in your body. Do you need to modify your diet from inflammatories? Do you have systemic infection like Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia or mono? Or do you have PTSD and need to retrain your brain?

There is a cause. It’s a temporary bandaid. It’s ok to bandaid. Sometimes it’s necessary to move forward but this is a place you’re visiting not a destination.

[–]Slut_Slayer90000 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

95% of medications are trash for you.

You need to figure out the root of the social anxiety. You said sometimes you hate yourself, WHY do you hate yourself? Is it your physique? Personality? Figure out what it is and attack that weakness, build it up.

[–]Southern__Gothic0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Exposure therapy (when performed properly) has a much, much higher rate of success than medication for social anxiety.

Exposure therapy doesn't mean "just go do it." There's a methodology to it, and you can find that methodology online if you look it up and go for .edu sources. It works like some kind of fucking miracle, but you have to actually do it right, and most people don't because they think they know what it is but really don't.

[–]circlingldn0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

nope, medication+exposure therapy is far better

[–]MagnetoWned0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly weed helped A LOT for me. I genuinely don’t give a fuck when I’m high af and it feels like almost anything doesn’t bother me. But it does affect everyone differently. Maybe try a small dose

[–]frognads0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a hell fucking no. I had severe social anxiety as a kid but got over it by gradually saying fuck it more and more.

[–]acaliforniaburrito0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Micmarr0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

But there are other classes.

[–]ArnoldT10000 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

I think it’s stupid

[–]isthisalreadyused0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Explain further

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (26 children) | Copy Link

Man please don't. There is permanent side effect called pssd- post ssri's sexual dysfunction, it's permenant death or your sexuality and sometimes anehdonia and emotional bluntness. Also social anxiety found to be related to HIGH serotonin levels, not low so whatever u do don't take ssri's and not other psych meds because they can fuck you up badly. Try keto diet and nofap

[–]isthisalreadyused-1 points0 points  (25 children) | Copy Link

It’s not nearly as simple as high or low serotonin. Look into it more and you’ll see that.

I was on an ssri (Paxil, probably the strongest one) for 17 years and my sex drive is fine after I stopped. Just make sure your test levels are where they’re supposed to be, and you’ll be fine. There is no evidence that they cause permanent brain damage

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (24 children) | Copy Link

It's not brain damage, it's altered methylation levels and epigenetics alterations. Read a little bit in pssdforum.com, those meds are hella dangerous

[–]isthisalreadyused0 points1 point  (23 children) | Copy Link

Hmmm sounds like you’ve done your homework. For me it didn’t but for others it might

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (22 children) | Copy Link

When I stopped Lexapro 10 mg the first time I was fine. It was only the second time I stopped and lost my sexuality, emotions, and the ability to enjoy life. Don't mess with the most delicate organ you have.

[–]isthisalreadyused0 points1 point  (14 children) | Copy Link

Good advice, but for a lot of people that organ is already messed with, that’s why they go that route

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Its not messed up. If they have anxiety or Depression they need to address it with life changes, probably changing diet. I'm betting my life OP eats shitload of carbs and that's what making him anxious.

[–]isthisalreadyused0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah it actually is for some people. Clean diet, exercise, etc didn’t do SHIT for me.

You have never experienced it so you have no idea

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

If I took ssri's I expirenced it probably. What was ur life circumstances at the time? It can probably be it. And "clean diet" I mean ketogenic diet. Also there's esketamine or shrooms, even TMS, hell even Wellbutrin is better than ssris. 4 people killed themselves this year due to pssd, it's really hell on earth, lobotomized to the core. So trust me when I say please give anything a chance before going on psych meds.

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (10 children) | Copy Link

And btw, I prefer being anxious wreck and depressed to my core than this living hell I'm expirencing. I literally can't feel emotions. And my dick is dead. So think twice before using this Russian roulette

[–]isthisalreadyused0 points1 point  (9 children) | Copy Link

I’m sorry to hear about what happened to you, but it doesn’t happen to most.

What are your male hormones like? If you haven’t tested them do so ASAP. If you have low testosterone get on trt immediately. If your doctor won’t give it to you, get it underground and do it yourself.

Also there are many herbs and nootropics that help immensely with mood, anxiety. Try them you will be surprised. Let me know if you want recommendations and I’ll help you out. I’ve been trying various types for 20+ years so I have experience

[–]GushKaka0 points1 point  (8 children) | Copy Link

My hormones are in range. It's most often methylation and estrogen receptors silencing. We have our own underground research, not so sure if it will bare fruits but it's better than nothing. I'll try demethylation agents with trt, maybe it will improve things a bit. Thanks

[–]isthisalreadyused0 points1 point  (7 children) | Copy Link

Try Proviron as well, supposed to help immensely with libido. Masteron world well for many also.

Last piece of advice: don’t bother with all these theories on why this is happening. Nobody really knows, and you may just end up barking up the wrong tree. Find things that are well know to increase libido, mood, anxiety, etc and go down the list until something works.

Good luck to you

Having no side effects while using the med is not indicator if you get pssd or not. Ketogenic diet and CBD will help you paranoia and chronic back pain too. I didn't tapperd, that was my mistake. I have zero sex drive, genital numbness, and dick shrinkage and alot of other symptoms. Be carful.

You probably are right, cold turkey is the main reason to get pssd

every anxiety based "disease" could be solved by doing more of what you fear and adhd could be fixed by extreme order in your life, but you have to believe your fix is in your own hand.

and always remember this quote: "it takes a whole lifetime to learn how to live and perhaps you'll be more surprised by this it takes a whole life time to learn how to die."

Doctors are pill pushers, fuck them...so many answers on the internet how you can overcome certain things the natural way.

First sentence was a little emotionally driven. My recent experiences with PCPs is that they treat symptoms with more drugs (thus causing more symptoms) rather than spending time getting to the root cause. Hate seeing people’s quality of life go down because they’re on crazy drug cocktails.

Benzos are the only drugs used and obviously they can be addictive. All any med used for anxiety is going to do is numb you out and dull your senses. Can't have anxiety if you're dulled and lethargic from the mess.

You'd be better off looking into exposure therapy for it. The more you have to deal with social situations the less anxiety you will feel over time. It will get easier.

Lost it at "Benzos are the only drugs used"

Nope, not even close to accurate.

Depends what medication. I would avoid SSRIs and benzos. The first can affect your libido or ability to come (well in can thereby cure premature ejaculation) and mess with your brain in bad ways. Benzos are almost guaranteed to make you addicted.

I wouldn’t indulge in them, they sound good on paper and make you feel amazing until you get physically dependent on them.

I’ve also heard many stories of dick problems because of SSRI’s. No bueno

pass the ladies my way if SSRIs ruin your cock

Hey, if that is what it takes to get you to the next level, do it. I cannot picture my life without it.

Fuck medication. Pick yourself up and work on yourself naturally.

Any form of personality altering medication is a slip into degeneracy. Lift weights, read books, find meaning in your life.

Just avoid SSRIs. Most bad experiences people have stem from those.

I've been on fluoxetine (prozac) which is an SSRI. I take one pill a day and my life has improved 100 fold. Before I started them I was a mess mentaly. I was on the verge of divorce. I could never relax, always anxious, paranoid, contemplated suicide daily. The only negative thing if you can even say its negative is my sex drive took a small dive. But that actually helped in alot of ways. As before I always not just wanted sex but felt like i needed it for validation and at the time my wife didnt want anything to do with me. Now with the help of TRP, lifting, stfu, and meds, My life has flipped, I'm happier now than i ever have been. All Im saying is SSRI can help.

you could try low doses of piracitam. its available online with no prescription.

Or do a deep dive with weed once a month. Im talking edibles plus smoking/vaping during the come up. Getting totally ripped and freaking the fuck out actually can be very good for anxiety in the days after.

You mean alcohol? I recommend it

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
