Feminism has long maintained that men's interests are entirely and always misogyny, and now we can see the long-game play out.

New Zealand just passed a bill that would make sexist comments online a punishable offense:

After it passed by a 116-to-5 vote in New Zealand's parliament, Gareth Hughes, one of the four Greens MPs to vote against the bill, said it was overly broad and “risks limiting our freedom of expression”.

NZ Labour said it was “wedged” by the NZ government: while some of the bill was “worthy of discussion” the law has “deeply worrying” elements.

The bill covers posts that are racist, sexist, or show religious intolerance, along with hassling people over disability or sexual orientation.

Wouldn't be so bad in principle, if we didn't have a social movement hellbent on labelling all of men's interests "sexist."

And here we have it, just another shining example of women trying to invade and colonize a male space. Rollo has a piece on this very thing, if you haven't read it yet, I recommend you do.

(The irony here is palpable: linking a voice for men automatically deleted my post and I have had to manually reapprove it because reddit has already banned the use of the website- for nothing more than being a male space)

What are the implications for reddit and TheRedPill? Well it's not good news, if Reddit wants to operate in New Zealand (which they probably will if they don't already)...

There's a safe harbour provision for Web sites, and here's where the free speech arises. A platform like Facebook or Twitter (if they bothered) can opt into the safe harbour – but only if they agree to remove allegedly offending material either on-demand or within the bill's 48-hour grace period.

Wait, what's this? In order to operate in New Zealand and comply with their laws, they need to agree to basically give feminists carte blanche on a delete button for anything they find distasteful.

Anybody who wishes to defend feminism as simply an equal-rights movement will need some seriously creative gymnastics to skirt around this issue. Even if you could feasibly say that feminists had nothing to do with the law that passed or it's enforcement, there is little you can do to speak against the fact that it is feminism, and feminism alone, that has been on the war path to making sure men's issues, and any form of men speaking with each other without female approval, are inherently misogyny.

I'm curious to see how this plays out. The fact is, as men, a lot of us already knew the feeling of having no belonging and no place for men's interests in the 90s. The internet was a life saver for many of us. If this takes place, you can be sure that men aren't going to roll over and take it again.

Don't believe the lies that feminists tell, that they aren't for censorship or that they're for equality. This will have real impacts and will interfere with the rights of men, and men alone.

What the fuck NZ.

This isn't just about feminism or Red Pill. This is blatant fascist censorship.

The SJW movement has not only penetrated social media, but now government.

I wonder how long it will be before the SJW's and radfem's realize how much they fucked up.

Twitter and Facebook aren't going to be able to appropriately comply with these laws. Free speech is rampant on the internet and especially social media.

Without Facebook and twitter and every other platform these people abuse to yell "RAPE!" and "MISERGERNY!", how will they spend their miserable lives policing others?!

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 159 points160 points  (17 children) | Copy Link

I wonder how long it will be before the SJW's and radfem's realize how much they fucked up.

I don't think you'll see them come to this conclusion. They are the higher caste, they will never see bad consequences from these actions.

In the words of Socrates:

Once made equal to man, woman becomes his superior.

Women know this won't be a problem for them, they are already our superiors. Their speech literally cannot be hate speech or sexism, why would they care what laws they pass to fuck us?

[–]onepill_twopill32 points33 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. When there was that whole Kony 2012 thing, several people in my classes at school were up in arms about it. A few years later Kony was brought up during a conversation with the very same people who encouraged it the most. They mentioned how stupid the people were to fall for such a simple trick, which they would never do.

[–]josephgene6 points7 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Can you expand on the kony 2012 dilemma?

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Bitches got they pantiez twisted over nothing as a direct result of corporate marketing.

^ Could also describe society writ large ; )

[–]TheDialecticParadox37 points38 points  (10 children) | Copy Link

Correct. That's why I said I wonder. It's not worth thinking about.

Women can pass as many laws as they like to fuck men. It's artificial superiority. It's a system of control. Like God, aka Patrice O'Neal once said: "Women are the fuckee, and Man are the fuckers." Physically, sexually and mentally, we are superior to women.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

The problem is that the mainstream idea being broadcast to men is that they shouldn't be men.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours13 points14 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Fine, to those who listen woe be unto thee. I'll be fucking the precious snowflake you admire but can't seem to get naked.

[–]Hexthorne6 points7 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Physically, sexually and mentally, we are superior to women.

No, we're not - not inherently at least. If men were inherently superior how would females ever get to the point they are now where they've gained ground in actively suppressing the male population?

Men make themselves better, and not all of them do it.

Think about your local drunk guy at the bar and compare him to a female olympic athlete. The difference is work, drive, and discipline.

Men and women are different, and those differences end up producing statistical differences in the population at the end of the day. That doesn't mean men (or women) are better than the other.

[–]veggie_girl4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Not all men are created equal; Some are more worthless than the most worthless woman.

But I guarantee you, the best man is superior to the best woman.

[–]Hexthorne0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not arguing against any of those points - but they aren't what was said and what I disagreed with.

Specifically, I'm standing by my original point that the general statement of men being better than women is incorrect. Men may have a higher potential but how many fuckwads do you know with a ton of potential who just sit around smoking weed all day?

[–]veggie_girl0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I do not know. What I do know is the percentage of those sitting around all day is only going to increase as society continues to remove incentives for them to work hard.

[–]aazav1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

the SJW's and radfem's realize how much they fucked up.

Don't you know they are incapable of making mistakes? And incapable of admitting they made them?

[–]tones201311 points12 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

wedge politics is a scourge in AUSNZ They dont give a shit about what theyre voting on, as long as it puts the opposition in an awkward position. Wedge bills are necessarily so ridiculous, extreme and poorly constructed/broad because a right minded person needs to baulk at voting for it. And when they refuse to be wedged and go along with it then the process begins again with an even more extreme bill.

Since that "teenage rape gang" bs everyones been super keen to stand up for women in NZ

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Govs are fascist. They control people to gain power. A gov that wont allow you to have guns, certainly doesnt want you to have free speech either.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Not so fast. I can't have guns here in japan but holy shit, is the internet full of free speech. Media too. The weirdest, most freaky free speech you can imagine. Aside from a few blurred genitals, everything is fair game. Culture is the only restricting factor and that too, is fading.

I would bet I could say a million worse things on the net here without even a spy agency bothering to snoop than you could, for example.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The US spying budget is probably greater than all of Japans defense spending. So that kinda goes without saying.

Well, this is a bit shit. Can someone please remind me what a government's job is, they don't seem to be up to much good of late.

[–]Blacks_Matter_LOL2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]RPSigmaStigma0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Here is the bill text. I think that a case can be made that posting offensive material despite having no "target victim" can still create a victim when the bar for harm is "emotional distress."

[–]Ojisan127 points28 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

ReasonTV just posted a video yesterday about a feminist female professor (is there any other kind?) who was attacked by SJWs in a Title 9 administrative case for the thoughtcrime of writing an article critical of some aspects of feminism.

There was no target "victim" in this case and yet she was called on the carpet by her university administrators just for having written the article.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I saw that future harm BS too. Pre-crime thoughtcrime here we come.

It's a shitty law

I think they may be trying to deal with revenge porn and genuine cyber-bullying, but this is just poorly thought out and over-broad. Principles 1, 4 and 6 are crazy.

I'm waiting for someone who is, say, getting fired to bring proceedings against their employer here under Principle 8. Getting fired is "serious emotional distress".

10 (1) (d) is chilling - how do the Police know what communications are going on? Actually don't answer that.

[–]algidum7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Principle 4

A digital communication should not be indecent or obscene.

This is gold!

[–]Senior Contributordr_warlock0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why don't you put that in your post?

[–]CharlieIndiaShitlord0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Reading the bill, I just realized that if you want to send a message that is guaranteed to offend people, you'll have to do it with pen and paper (or just print the damn thing out).

Kiwi's primary means of objection is going to end up being a letter writing campaign.

Edit: Surely this impugns on several constitutional articles?

[–]Senior Contributordr_warlock9 points10 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Correct, however...

(Source)

Similar to Greek letter alpha The fish symbol is also similar in shape to the first letter of the Greek alphabet, alpha. In Revelation 22:13 Christ says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

Christians using the fish symbol were acknowledging that Christ was Alpha, the first. He was around at the beginning of creation (John 1:1 — “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”).

The greek symbol came before Christianity.

[–]JovianTrainWreck2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Yes, selective enforcement is the only practical way these laws can be implemented. On top of that, because what constitutes "sexism" is completely arbitrary and subjective, the government can define just about anything as "sexist" if it wants to.

[–]recon_johnny27 points28 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Posted from NZ. Lets see.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a pretty low bar for misogyny. Such an understatement might even be a form of white knighting. In my book it's not misogyny until you start exchanging recipes for how to properly cannibalize women---and even then it's misogynistic unless you don't like the recipe.

[–]Squeezymypenisy7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

No. It is as enforceable as the "Internet Piracy Law" passed in NZ a few years ago.

In reality the number of people who have received 'warnings' can be counted in the low hundreds and none (that I know have been prosecuted). Everyone I know around here still pirates like mad.

Bills like these are just sops to satisfy whatever public outrage is the flavour of the month.

[–]BlackHeart8955 points56 points  (22 children) | Copy Link

This is the type of shit that amazes the fuck out of me. I'm no politician... hell, I not very well educated in politics at all. But jesus christ. How the fuck could this be a good idea in anyone's mind??? Such a waste of time and resources, its ridiculous. I see racist comments online damn near every day I get on the internet. It may offend me, but I never think, "They should enforce a law against this and charge people for it." I just stop reading the comments and/or go to another page. Boom. Problem solved. Expense free.

[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn50 points51 points  (16 children) | Copy Link

How the fuck could this be a good idea in anyone's mind???

Because they are progressives. Progressives do what feels good rather than what achieves results.

Seriously, look at the law in Norway about 12 years ago that forced public companies to have 40% of their boards to be women. Then a study came out in 2009 which showed that private companies in Norway (which were exempt from this law) significantly outperformed public companies.

... and today several countries in the EU are pushing for the same goddamn law. Because it feels good and that good feel is more important than the damage to the economy it will cause.

[–]chinawinsworlds25 points26 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Norwegian here, that law really embarrassed me, but at least we understand more now. We have that amazing documentary by Harald Eia showing the stupidity of feminists. And the results of that law is known too.

[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn11 points12 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Does the NZ right wing believe in equality? If so, they are progressives.

Just because they are right of the local center doesn't mean they are not progressive. Hell, the right wing in America even is more centrist than actually conservative, and America is considered far right to just about every first world country.

[–]-rubashov0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

No such thing really as right wing in NZ, the only parties in that area barely get any votes. National, the party in power are very central. If they were in the USA they'd be considered centre-left.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

There is this cool streak in the American zeitgeist that goes something like "I hate what you are saying but I will fight for your right to say it."

[–]Solomonceed11 points12 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

The ACLU already supports Affirmative Action aka the most blatant form of racial/sexual discrimination currently going on in the US. No values are sacred, not even liberty.

Let us not rely on the government or organizations. If we want to keep our liberty, we ourselves must fight for it every day.

[–]william_law0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

The shitty liberal progressive logic of affirmative action is blowing up in their faces now because Asians are pissed off about being discriminated against. Other minorities w much lower grades are getting accepted above them. I love when lib-logic contradicts itself.

[–]Solomonceed0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Asians are ~5% of the population, though. Their votes can be disregarded. The votes of women (>50% of votes) and blacks are crucial to them.

[–]RedHeimdall4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

"I hate what you are saying but I will fight for your right to say it."

It's not true though, not for organizations with some power like the ACLU. If they're talking about Larry Flynt or the Piss Christ guy, they talk about principles and give the line you mentioned. Acceptance or tolerance of these things weakens traditional values in the culture, so they're on board -- supposedly for reasons of principle.

What about the Confederate flag? I haven't seen them rushing to the barricades to defend it. What about cartoons of Mohammed? Do we see them defending free speech against "hate speech censorship?" Point is: they pick and choose when they want to apply their principle and when they don't. Which means in reality they do not follow said principle.

  1. All that stuff is old and of lesser cultural zeitgeist. Where are they now, when everybody including the President is part of the pitchfork party?

  2. More importantly, are you familiar with the concept of "lip service?" People often say things that they are expected to say, that they feel they have to say. But are they saying it (and taking the appropriate follow up actions) with conviction and enthusiasm, or are they just mouthing empty words and doing the bare minimum to avoid a negative status hit?

Watch an interview with a big business leader. Observe the enthusiasm in his answer when he's asked if taxes are too high and regulation too burdensome. Observe the difference when he's asked if promoting diversity in his company is important. He'll say yes to all the above, but the former is truth, the latter is lip service.

[–]PMME_YOUR_TITS_WOMAN1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Since when does the government listen to the constitution? If enough people complain about it (they won't) they can just amend it.

[–]saraburzy0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It would be nearly impossible to find, let alone cite, a meaningful precedent to sanction a similar law in the United States. That's not to say there must be a precedent to make law, of course, but that if the U.S. Supreme Court were to vote in favor of something similar to this NZ law, they would be ignoring and superseding the countless arguments featured in landmark Constitutional law that, with great fervor, argue otherwise.

Freedom of speech includes expressions that will disagree, criticize, or offend; this applies to all citizens given that the very reason for its creation was precisely for the purpose of criticism towards the government.

"The sort of robust political debate encouraged by the First Amendment is bound to produce speech that is critical of those who hold public office." - Hustler v. Falwell

"It is a central tenet of the First Amendment that the government must remain neutral in the marketplace of ideas." - F.C.C. v. Pacifica

"The First Amendment does not guarantee that other concepts virtually sacred to our Nation as a whole, such as the principle that discrimination based on the basis of race is odious and destructive, will go unquestioned in the marketplace of ideas." - Texas v. Johnson

"When a man hath been laboring the hardest labor in the deep mines of knowledge, hath furnished out his findings in all their equipage, drawn forth his reasons as if it were a battle ranged, scattered and defeated all objections in his way, calls out his adversary into the plain, offers him the advantage of the wind and sun, if he please, only that he may try the matter by dint of argument; for his opponents then to skulk, to lay ambushments, to keep a narrow bridge of licensing where the challenger should pass, though it be valor enough in soldiership, is but weakness and cowardice in the wars of Truth." - John Milton

Most notably, look at the decision made in Hustler v. Falwell; as a result of being 'outrageously' parodied within the November issue of Hustler Magazine in 1983, respondent, and nationally known religious leader, political activist, and television evangelist Jerry Falwell filed to recover charges for invasion of privacy, libel, and unintentional infliction of emotional distress. The mock interview featuring Falwell's admittedly fictitious interview displayed his 'first time' as a "drunken, incestuous, rendezvous with his mother in an outhouse." Hustler included this parody due to having previously featured other Campari liqueur ads that would notoriously capitalize upon the "sexual double entendre of the general subject of first times." The District Courts dismissed claims of libel and invasion of privacy, but did uphold that Falwell would receive 100K in compensatory damages and 50K more in punitive.

Later, the Court of Appeals dismissed the First Amendment importance of the case by arguing it was irrelevant to the case which they saw as concerned not with protection of speech, but whether or not the defendants had acted intentionally or recklessly. This was met with resistance and granted certiorari by the Supreme Court because of its transparent involvement with First Amendment (free speech) issues.

It was decided 8-0 (justice Kennedy was not involved) that the intentional infliction of emotional distress as the basis or reason for which awards of damages are given is not consistent with the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

This decision was important because it highlighted a few things. (1) the benefits of the free-flowing exchange of ideas are not limited to being positively affected by speech (2) inherent subjectiveness of being offended (i.e., not legally enforceable).

The Court has historically emphasized the fundamental importance and richness that freedom of speech and its inevitable consequences, both positive and negative, contribute to the "quest for truth and vitality as a whole," and that the State cannot restrict content based on what is desirable or not.

"There is no such thing as a false idea." - Gertz v. Robert Welch

TL;DR: it is both consistent and has been upheld that being offended is not a justified reason for receiving damage rewards. In other words, to be offended by an idea/symbol/group is not sufficient reasoning for speech to be suppressed in the United States. There are only a few caveats (e.g., speech meant to incite or imply imminent violence or danger) all of which demand strict scrutiny and a clear and compelling reason. None of which sophomorically indignant mahfeelz-laden feminist/new age rage-posts would pass.

Is that true about Australia? All the Aussies I've met are racist as FUCK. (Maybe rationally so though, I dunno, I've never been there). They aint fuckin with those aboriginals

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Australians arnt racist, we just tell it how it is and don't pussyfoot around the truth. But that is changing. It really is becoming sjw hell here and our governments are so legislation happy and the population so enthusiastic about being ruled over by nanny....I fear for the future

[–]Atherstone1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

We are racist a lot but we don't get as butt-hurt as Americans do. If we get truly offended we smash it out and if not then we yell and then leave (probably).

As for aboriginals, some of them are all good and can be real good mates but some of them (quite commonly the ones who have never worked in their life and claim welfare) can be absolute trash. Some of those aboriginals can be so fucking racist even i get astounded sometimes.

P.S I haven't seen anyone get arrested for saying something racist. Get hit in the face with a brick? Yep. Wearing a pair of cuffs? Nup.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It was nice knowing you, NZ.

[–]2Overkillengine8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It'll get categorized as "internalized misogyny" which is the normal go to censorship tool used when race and gender based accusations aren't readily available.

[–]GainzdalfTheWhey0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Sexism and misogyny is only when females have feelings hurt, if men are hurt they deserve it because they would rape me.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]generallyaprick1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This. Supposed democratic governments in the west are all clamouring for control of the internet. They have all taken slightly different routes for convincing the public that they should implement means to filter the internet at the ISP level. The U.K. Used porn as their excuse, Aus has been bought out by fucking USA copyright holders because piracy, NZ has used SJW's /feminists. The end result is the government can block any website it sees fit with little oversight. Only a matter of time before criticism of the ruling party can be silenced, at least for the masses who don't know how to get around the censorship.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Would be nice for a sensible discussion on this as opposed to speculation that the Western world is doomed. I would like to know if there were any pressure groups etc campaigning for this.

I have already seen the backlash begin in my country, England. People are sick of political correctness, which is why there has been the huge rise in votes for conservative, eurosceptic UKIP.

This is not strictly a feminist bill as it is just part of the scope. Although Internet laws in the UK are rarely enforced, It is a worrying step. It takes away what the Western world supposedly holds as supreme, individual freedom.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 11 points12 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Would be nice for a sensible discussion on this as opposed to speculation that the Western world is doomed.

It's not speculation, it's a law that passed that makes our "sensible discussion" illegal in NZ.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]chinawinsworlds0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha, my sister in law lived in England for 4 years (we are Norwegian) and she is disgusted by your political situation. She's shaking her head over UKIP and stuff, but I have to laugh cause I know all countries will have more and more of those parties.

[–]william_law0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Id agree that it's premature to say the western world is doomed at this point. But it definitely feels more and more like we live in an upside down twilight zone world.

And the notion that the West is doomed cannot be entirely written off. World civilization changes, that is constant. Sometime in the next 100 years I would not at all be surprised if we are overrun by non-western countries.

Just wait till the fragile world economy gets worse or collapses. You'll have bitterly hungry hordes in Asia and the Middle East licking their lips at the remnants of western prosperity and grinning with shining eyes at our weakness, like a crippled gazelle. Plunging into our defensive fire means nothing to people in a desperate state, and surely some of the droves will break through. I can see the Middle East overrunning a crumbling Europe, and China possibly invading the U.S. At some point.

The Chinese already look at us as weak. Their giant population has been gaining a better quality of life and is hungry for more. If the world economy goes seriously south (which it almost certainly will sometime in the next 50 years, if not the next 10-20; it is the only thing keeping cordial relations with China) just wait for all the Chinese to start looking at the American breadbasket hungrily.

Only like 15% of China's land is farmable and they have to feed 1.3 billion people. If things get real shitty economically, they will be looking at us thinking "look at how weak America is. We could use that land so much better. We deserve it more. America fucked the economy in the first place. We can hack their grid and electronic infrastructure and cripple them further. Let's invade."

A lot can change in a few generations boys. Don't expect the West to last forever. I can see the above scenario sometime in the 21st century. Not saying it will happen, but it certainly could, don't doubt that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

'History repeats itself' does not answer for the vast changes, and the extremely volatile situations in these areas.

China do not look at the West as weak. They heavily rely on exports to the USA, and as they are advancing so are their government. It has to to keep up with growth. Consumerism needs open markets and decentralised power. As China develops, risk decreases, unless something serious happens.

Also the Chinese are not stupid people. They also do not think in black and white as 'we could use that land so much better'. They cannot just 'hack their grid'. They will not start a war that is actually impossible to win, even with the help of THE REST OF THE WORLD. (http://www.vice.com/read/we-asked-a-military-expert-if-the-whole-world-could-conquer-the-united-states). The USA has planned everything down to the tee. Americas defence is more advanced than to anything the public could dream off. Defence at the expense of everything else important in a society. If anyone is going to invade someone I can personally guarantee it will be spearheaded by America.

Islam is in my opinion the biggest cause for concern as of today. This is particularly a issue for Europe. We cannot count the amount coming in, and we have absolutely no idea of their affiliations. Again we can thank America for removing Gaddafi in Libya for this, as he ruled the Libyan shores with a iron fist. Now since Libya is totally destabilised, boats are leaving everyday with potential threats to Europe. This is not even scaremongering, the rise of jihadism has just begun.

[–]william_law0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I agree with you about the Middle East being the biggest current threat, definitely.

And I know we are mutually beneficial with China economically. That was my point tho, is if some shit hit the fan in the world economy in the next 50 years, I think our relationship would likely turn sour.

Lastly, I fully know that invading the U.S. would be the most difficult military operation you could possibly think up. But people begin to crave WAR in really shitty times, and if those times come, America would not be immune to attempts. I don't think we have any inkling just how foul things could potentially go. Not saying they will necessarily, but I do believe it's in the cards.

[–]FromBPtoRP0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hopefully it won't happen. My small country is experiencing a lot of propaganda by Russian government. Having in mind situation in Ukraine, it's the real threat for our independence. [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

In my country, a law is being voted right now to give the government the right to spy on every single exchange one might have with someone else (mail, telephone, internet...). . The bill says one could protest in the case he/she thinks the government is using this right wrongfully but ultimately, big dady government has a veto right. No private life anymore. I bet the next step will be to abolish freedom of speech.

Men won't wake up.

[–]LeeHePro 1 points1 points [recovered] | Copy Link

What country is it bro?

It's funny because if you're using the Internet without encryption everything you do online is transparent, if you use chrome it's even worse (https://8ch.net/tech/chrome.html), if the government wants to spy on you it already can (and will). I encourage you to learn how to use Tor.

Freedom of speech doesn't exist anymore.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

This law will fail. It's not enforceable. The moment they try to dictate to Facebook and other large companies what they must delete and censor is the moment those sites simply stop doing business in NZ.

There are hundreds of millions of profiles on Facebook. They can't possible manage them all for content.

What's more is that NZ can't possibly field all the complaints that feminists will likely bring against websites.

At best they can block major "offenders" but, again, that will reduce services and content for NZ.

And EVEN if they are successful in blocking content and censoring Facebook, then the "offending" websites just use proxies or false fronts, mirrors, etc.

If you want to see what censorship looks like then look at North Korea. There is no way they can reproduce what NK has done in NZ.

That said, I also think this is a huge boon to men. Why? Because it once again brings men's issues into the public view. What greater way to advance RP knowledge than to defend them in the public theater?

There's no such thing as bad publicity.

[–]Ojisan110 points11 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

This law will fail. It's not enforceable.

The law may fail, but not due to unenforceability. The UK's porn law is unenforceable, but that isn't stopping them from trying. China's censorship laws are theoretically unenforceable but a relatively compliant populace seems to just accept it. America's DMCA would seem unenforceable but YouTube and other sites are more than willing to fuck over their own users and forsake "fair use" doctrine in favor of a "shoot first, as questions later" approach.

[–]DrQuaid2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

DMCA doesnt really work for google searches, just click on the link on the bottom of the page about DMCA notices and it will give you all the blocked pages...

[–]freebytes0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

They do not need to enforce it for everyone. They can simply use it to target dissent.

Edit: 'they'

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Who is "they".

They is every feminist and white knight out there who will flood whatever office they create to field all the accusations.

There won't be any organization to it or targeting of dissent. They will target everything.

It's a mob and a mob is indiscriminate.

[–]computer_d19 points20 points  (20 children) | Copy Link

Kia ora, from New Zealand.

This isn't about SJW. The legislation's main intent is to protect children. New Zealand has a high rate of youth suicide, some of which can be attributed to bullying, especially cyber bullying. Supporters of this bill have cited certain social media apps which allows anonymous comments, apps which children (pre-adult) use.

So while the legislation is shit, being far too broad, it's intent is to protect children most of all. How they get around anonymous messaging, I don't know. It is not about SJW or whatever term you want to label people who get butthurt over anything - it's just an adverse repercussion of such poorly worded legislation.

[–]8n0n4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The legislation's main intent is to protect children.

I see your bet, on good intentions, and I raise you with 'scope creep' on your road to hell.

[–]PsychoGoatSlapper1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Seconded. Law student from NZ here.

[–]TransientHaberdasher1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Mrs Lovejoy's shrill voice "Oh won't someone please think of the children!"

We're raising a nation of pussies. If you're being harassed on social media, block the person and move on. Better yet, don't bother with facebook or social apps at all.

We're failing our children in trying to protect them without teaching them how to protect themselves. This is a problem in the west writ large with hopeless helicopter parents who blame their failures on the rest of society.

[–]computer_d1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree completely.

It's sad that some are bullied to the point of suicide, but things like this aren't really going to help.

[–]sushisection1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. How are these people going to survive in the real world, where daddy government won't protect them (and in many cases is actively suppressing them)

Competing against them will be easy for us though, so I can't complain too much

[–]Dohcaholic1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

This post should be at the top.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The legislation's main intent is to protect children

The legislation's stated aim is to protect children. Lots of dubious bills are passed under the guise of protecting children. Look at how many spying laws are pushed with the touted aim of catching pedophiles.

It's a social manipulation trick used by politicians.

[–]AureliusThunderkok-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Shh...that does not fit into our narrative. We are trying to raise an army here.

[–]sushisection0 points1 point  (9 children) | Copy Link

Ok. Where are the parents?

Correct me if im wrong, but it's the parents' job to protect their children. If my daughter is telling me that she is being cyber bullied, you know what I would tell her? That these are only words on a screen, and that she is strong and shouldn't let measley little words affect her.

I thought feminism was all about creating strong, independent women. All I see is little girls being told that they are weak and fragile, and that they need government to protect them.

[–]Bottled_Void3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Everyone should just flag all the feminist rants as sexist. There is no reason it shouldn't swing both ways, that's what they purport to be fighting for.

[–]2Sepean4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Like that's going to happen. The companies, police and courts are going to give SJWs a pass, and label anything against feminism as hate speech.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

After it passed by a 116-to-5 vote in New Zealand's parliament, Gareth Hughes, one of the four Greens MPs to vote against the bill, said it was overly broad and “risks limiting our freedom of expression”.

Gareth Hughes was immediately charged as the first person in violation of the new law, and is up for early release in 2017.

[–]topredhat10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I think it goes beyond this. They can class anything as sexist even if it isn't and people will not look in to what it really is. They can take down anything they dislike and call it sexist.

[–]DriveWire1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I've got plenty of facebook friends who somehow think every advertisement ever made is sexist. This is a nightmare. Just talking about basic hereditary biological in relationship with gender, race, disabilities or sexual preference is bound to hurt or offend somebody. This is horrifying in it's scope.

[–]furpwt 9 points9 points [recovered] | Copy Link

People are very misinformed about this Act - it isn't nearly as bad as you make out. TRP won't be illegal by any stretch. It's not illegal to read offensive material online, and it's only illegal to POST offensive material if it's directed at an individual. And even then, the person who's targeted has to jump through hoops to do anything about it.

Local news coverage

While I don't like the Act too much, it really is targeted at "cyberbullies" who harass individuals. It won't stifle discussion forums like TRP.

As a Kiwi RPer, perhaps I'll avoid tweeting about a Kiwi Sarkeesian or Sulkowitz. It's stupid, but that's about the level of censorship this will cause - for now at least.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

This is where the law would backfire if men were prone to telling on people. A majority of direct sexist attacks come from SWJ's and militant feminists. Hell, there are countless hashtags based on man hate that could be taken down..

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

While i don't like drone bombing much, it is really targeted at "terrorists " who terrorize individuals. It won't harm good, law abiding people like peaceful citizens.

Realistically the Red Pill Reaction Force would be far more effective than half the world's militaries. The Afghan military is fucked up on opium. The Iraqi army cant even do jumping jacks.. Plus New Zealand has only 8 thousand military personnel the majority of whom are useless paper pushers.

I wondered about this and was guessing the same thing. There is no better training for your brain as a man than programming. Writing software forces you to think in a purely logical manner in order to accomplish your goals. Computers don't care what you want them to do. They will only do exactly what you tell them to do, for better or worse. They will never give in to feelz and bullshit you with blue pill nonsense.

IMO, every piller should learn how to program, even if they never apply it to their career. It is lifting weights for your brain.

[–]Xeusi2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Not to mention Software does have management positions that is a good career path to both use the puzzle solving and creativity of putting it into a design.

Ridiculous. I'm not sure if it's worth trying to comprehensively injecting some realism in here, or if it's better to let everyone hold their power fantasy.

In short, the NZ Army is very well trained and equipped. Comparing to the Iraqi army or Afghan army is ridiculous - the NZ Army is directly descended (<200 years ago) from the British army. It has fought alongside the US Army numerous times (e.g. WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan).

That's just for starters. I don't think bodybuilding and CoD are going to stand up.

I see more of an Orwellian/Huxleyan dystopian thing playing out where everyone just kind of trudges along half asleep. Hell we are about halfway there already.

The rest of the west obviously isn't going to let a bunch of dudes on the internet take over New Zealand.

The 'rest of the west' has nothing to do with it. As a Kiwi, I welcome you dumb cunts to have a go. Haven't had long pork in too long.

[–]DexterousRichard0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The better and more realistic way would simply be to show up there.

If you could sneak in through beaches and congregate, you could likely eventually secure citizenship. Then you could demand legal changes, etc. a force of 120000 committed and unified men could easily dominate parliament.

[–]dirtybucks16 points17 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

You are forgetting that GLO has the Russian mentality. We will just rush them in great numbers and beat them with our hats. No ammo/guns necessary.

Maybe one sniper needed.

[–]TitsAndWhiskey10 points11 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I thought the Russian philosophy was let them invade Mother Russia. Mother Russia will freeze them to death.

[–]The_Man1113 points14 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Combined with "We have more people than you have bullets" and Russia wins every time.

[–]TitsAndWhiskey0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

They are only have 4,500 regulars. Im sure there is an asshole somewhere who is willing to arm, train and fund our anger phase boy army. My guess is North Korea, Iran maybe China or Russia. We can't be too picky.

[–]furpwt 28 points28 points [recovered] | Copy Link

I'll respond as if you were serious, but perhaps you're trolling.

4,500 regulars is just the army. The full military includes the navy and airforce, and is 10,000 strong of trained personnel with a $3B annual budget and the experience of fighting in the aforementioned wars. In the case of a ground invasion you have to further consider 1 million military aged men (and a further 1M women) who could take up arms as readily as the average Redditor.

If North Korea wanted to help the RP army (the other 3 are preposterous), you have to consider the long-standing allies NZ has (e.g. Aus, UK, US). NZ has fulfilled its military obligations to fight alongside allies in dozens of wars.

Yes invading another country is a fun idea if we want to suspend reason. For someone interested in international politics and military combat, it just sounds silly.

Not the mention the logistics, administration, and finances involved with operating any modern army. Run and gun won't do the job.

The middle east pulls it off because they are living in a hell hole financed by oil. They recruit desperate people into using ex-soviet surplus and improvised weapons in an asymmetric fashion. You want me to leave my middle class lifestyle and die for a cause? That's way worse than beta self-sacrifice.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Solomonceed1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Well, in that case, we'll do what we do best. Improve. You heard the man, guys. Learn to shoot a gun, learn about military strategy and learn about firearm/military equipment engineering.

Recently I've become quite heartened about the long-term future of our society, because I've noticed how astronomically, incredibly well I've done in my career since I swallowed the pill. I seriously doubt I'm unusual in this respect; in 20 years time more than a few of us are going to be in positions of serious power and we may see some positive change from that alone. No need to invade anyone, climb the ladder and shit on the degenerates from above.

Anger phasers are my favorite reds. People give them a lot of shit but without them we'd lose our tone, edge, message, and drive. Anger phasers are the backbone of the red pill. They may not always have the most coherent or accurate beliefs but they make up for it with sheer rawness. Reading an anger phase post versus an old veteran is the difference between taking a woman's virginity and fucking your wife of 25 years.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Set your anger phasers to stun, or kill?

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours8 points9 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I love my anger, it keeps me warm. I don't let it run my life, rather I use it and channel it into awesomeness. It gives me that edge you speak of, without dulling the blade or overheating it.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, we have all been taught that anger is baaaaaaaad when in fact it's a (useful) part of who we are.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Fuck yeah, control your anger so it can be better utilized.

[–]1jb_trp16 points17 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I know what you mean, man. People make the mistake of thinking that the anger is caused by misogyny, but really the anger is caused by reality. /u/All_fixed_again's post yesterday where his wife of 15 years kept gaslighting him lying to his face so she could cheat on him with some guy from her online class... Fuck, how could a person not get angry by that?

Anger is the fuel that drives so many Redpillers to change and become powerful men.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Bothers me more when reds eat their own by criticizing the anger phasers. The anger phase is arguably the most legit part of swallowing the red pill. It's when the nature of reality just hits you the hardest and absolutely overwhelms you and the anger is that realization in in purest form. Too many red pillers treat it like something to graduate from in order to be one of the cool kids whereas the angry ones are just inexperienced. You get so many condescending remarks about the anger and it's just so goddamn forgetful. Moreover, I'd be willing to bet a huge percentage of "graduates" are either still in the anger phase or only got out of it because they stopped caring about what the world is like.

[–]friendlysociopathic0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah man, there's a point for some men where you realize real women are actually way more interesting than the delusional princess image you'd constructed before. Certainly my life got a lot better when I realized the willingness of the average woman to take a cock in her ass as long as you talk to her like a child beforehand.

[–]gmflag6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

As they say, "think as you like but behave as others." and "don't talk the red pill, show them the red pill." I am also doing something similar.

People ask me how I do it all the time, and I only tell a certain few that I know are open and accepting of the way the world works about the red pill, while the rest I tell them no idea.

[–]friendlysociopathic0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Leading through example is the best way to lead. Admiration is stronger than love or fear.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

That always seemed like the end game to me. Our goal isn't to change society but how could hundreds of thousands of extremely antifeminist motivated achievers with presumably high social status not lead to change.

[–]still_very_alive0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

And in practice, if and when you do get to the top, you'll have come to the same realization the ones at the top have already arrived at - it's more profitable to keep the status quo than make things fairer fort men.

[–]friendlysociopathic2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. The greeks understood this, every non-degenerate society in human history has understood this, and it's ultimately the failure of the generations above us that led us to where we are now. They failed to carry the torch their ancestors had been carrying for 100000 years, and decided it was cool to ignore the accumulated wisdom and knowledge of the men before them. I owe my existence today to the fact that, somewhere back in pre-history, one of my grandfathers was the type of dude who would kill a bear with a stone axe just to stop it harming his children.

I ain't letting him down. I couldn't look myself in the eye. What kind of ungrateful little bitch would that make me?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I know this comes up from time to time, but most people in positions of power NOW are RP. It's just not worth it to go against the grain (48 Laws, etc. etc.).

If I'm running for president, and, in a fake vacuum that I constructed for this comment, I can choose to be for men's rights or choose to be for women's rights... well... men can suck my presidential dick.

-Redium-
Redium (pronounced ree-jee-um) is a large set of islands, formerly known as New Zealand, off the east coast of Australia. The nation has a small population of 5 million, however it also is known to boast the world's highest GDP per capita.

The history of Redium can be divided into three sections: the pre-colonial era, during which Maoris lived as a simple tribal society in the region, the British era, during which the nation was known as New Zealand, and the Modern era, marked by the sudden reversal of national policies in 2018. The nation at this time was the center of a world-wide crisis, when a large number of unknown mercenaries attacked the country. The locals were unable to provide resistance to the 120,000 strong invaders (most likely due to poor soldier quality), and the nation underwent drastic social and political change.

Redium, once thought to be a likely first candidate to fall to social disarray, escaped most of the decline of the 2020's with its new leadership. This is thought to have been due to conservative social policy, and has since maintained the world's highest standard of living.

[–]papipapichulo1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]1ErasmusOrgasmus0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Redium also holds the accolade for the state with the most gyms per 1,000 citizens, standing at 50.

Clothing sizes in Redium do not conform to international standards. Instead of small, medium and large, the sizes ascend as follows: do you even lift?; noob gains; constant pump; swole; beast mode; and Arnold.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

There goes freedom of speech.

[–]Wraithwain4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It was always bound to happen. Feminists gain control, marriage and sexuality turn into something entirely different, and suppression of supposedly inalienable freedoms follows swiftly to oppose common sense.

[–]_Ozu_ 4 points4 points [recovered] | Copy Link

Free speech and liberty in general is on the decline in much of the Western world. Spain just passed a law that makes it illegal to criticize the government and the monarchy, disrespect authority, or have a "spontaneous" protest in front of a public building, amongst other things. The West is an absolute vipers nest and it's only going to get worse; I encourage you all to set your sights on new horizons.

[–]riverraider694 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Can we use this to get feminist websites banned?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I read the letter of the law. It seems like a bill designed to tamp down revenge porn and "cyber bullying" but it just goes so far off the deep end.

It defines "harm" as hurting someone's feelings. No seriously, it does.

What. The. Fuck.

Pretty sure when the Anzac forces ran up on Gallipoli they weren't defending the right for a person not to have their feels hurted.

[–]5p56x453 points4 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Damn.

Criminalizing online speech has severe chilling effects. Are you still willing to participate in an anonymous discussion here if there are prosecutors or plaintiffs that can serve a subpoena on your ISP to disclose your identity?

[–]SgtBrutalisk1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I think you should anyway. Cowering does nothing except give you a false sense of security.

[–]5p56x451 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I completely agree, and I'm not going anywhere. The problem is that there are going to be some folks that won't take the risk, so they'll never post, and others may be too scared to even read the material.

And that's the point of the law, isn't it?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Had a friend over, he used the computer. prove otherwise.

Have EVERYONE do that, en masse. I could really bash these fuckers skulls in that propose these laws. How many millions died so we could freely speak? Unbelievable.

[–]Sephar3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

New Zealand just banned freedom of speech?

[–]Ibex3D1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Wouldn't be so bad in principle, if we didn't have a social movement hellbent on labelling all of men's interests "sexist."

No. This terrible in principle. I don't know NZ law and perhaps freedom of speech isn't a right there or it's watered down or something but no, silencing ideas is never okay.

And here we have it, just another shining example of women trying to invade and colonize a male space.

You know, I really don't see this as an attack on men. This looks more like an attack on free speech to avoid people from being a little offended by words on the internet. Perhaps feminism is what inspired this whole PC craze and they might use this bill against men's space but I doubt this was designed specifically with sexism in mid.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

The reason I see it as an attack on men is that there are very few ways these laws will be construed to limit normal female speech, but rather only normal male speech that is already considered hate-speech.

[–]Senior Contributordr_warlock0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hatespeech is speech from a nonprotected class towards or about a protected class not considered politically correct.

Sometimes, a bad idea really doesn't even deserve bad publicity. Suppose one nutjob decided that Asian people want to be slaves, and tried to preach that idea to other people. Sure, we can hope that that idea wouldn't get anywhere, but look at what not rejecting feminism has done to western society.

[–]LaV-Man1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I shudder to think about the repercussions of the next serveral generations, where men are woman-like.

Can you imagine a country where feminism reigns in a war against a country where it has very little to no influence at all?

Steel sharpen steel, no woman made me a man.

It's not women that instill the courage and fear of ridicule that makes men step into combat. They may inspire men to protect them, but not to aggressively attack threats.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

low birthrates, unhappy women, weak faggoty men, feminism destroys everything it touches. The country embracing feminism would be embarrassed.

[–]holytrpbatman1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

All of this is a global attempt at silencing public forums of all types. The male space/feminism battleground is simply one small battle in a much wider war for control of the entire human species.

Divide and conquer boys, it's worked for millennia

[–]Smokratez1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Time for all kiwi men to get the fuck out and see how NZ deals with that. However, I guess there will be enough betas to accept being nothing more than slaves though.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

A bit off topic, can someone tell me what am I?

I always believed I was a liberal, I strongly believe in individual freedoms, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of religion or lack thereof...

While I do not condone hate speech, I find it everyone's right to voice their opinions and concerns even if they appear to be on the extremist spectrum.

The way I see it, I am ok with having a priest, a neo nazi, an atheist and a fascist all with a platform on which to voice their opinions and preach their ideology. Because in the end, we are intellectuals who can use our brains to decide which ideology to follow.

From what I see in the comments (here and other subs and threads) it is the liberals who are oppressing "hate speech", shutting down "toxic" communities hint fph hint and siding up with the feminazis.

A recent test I have taken told me I am on the right wing liberalism, is it what I really am?

EDIT: Also, fuck political correctness, the world is turning into a huge fucking hugbox

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Libertarian most likely. Those tests online just go from democrat to republican or liberal to conservative.

[–]jaimewarlock0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Try this test: http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz/quiz.php

It uses two axis for figuring out your party leanings. So there are four possible results, instead of the typical two.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Very libertarian just like I thought

[–]SultanSuleyman0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I always believed I was a liberal, I strongly believe in individual freedoms, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of religion or lack thereof...

These days you have to make a distinction between classical and social liberalism.

The former is what the word "liberalism" generally used to refer to at the dawn of the democratic era, but nowadays the word tends to be used to refer to the latter. This is especially true in United States politics -- e.g. when Fox News types rail against "liberals" they are talking about social liberalism's focus on social equality at the expense of individual liberty. Generally, classical liberal values fall under the umbrella of "libertarian" now.

[–]redpilldiscourse1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

What the fuck. I am glad I left New Zealand last year.

[–]redpilldiscourse0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

So I've been thinking about this for a while. I've lived in 3 different western countries in my life - one of them being New Zealand, but also Australia and currently the US. All hot spot breeding grounds for feminism. I hear europe is pretty bad too.

What countries or regions left in the world haven't succumbed to feminism and are still red pill? I hear south america spouted about a lot on here but we know that's not true either.

The middle east? Is that it? Anywhere else?

Trying to figure out where I might need to escape to one day in the next few years.... because it seems none of our current countries are going to be safe for much longer :( I also see single white males are probably going to get taxed harder and harder in the coming years.

Would Dubai be a good safe bet?

[–]jaimewarlock1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Countries without any form of welfare tend to be the most RP. I have lived in both Philippines and Kenya.

Of the two, Kenya is the most RP. It is also a fairly tough place to live. There is a shortage of available men and if you are a woman, you actually need someone to protect you in most neighborhoods.

[–]redpilldiscourse0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Interesting. I was just reading the Nigerian thread, too. Having a thing for African women... moving to Africa might not be such a bad idea. Once I finish making my money in the US, I could totally see myself going there to retire in a few years time.

I've always wanted to go to South Africa (mostly because its an ex british colony and i'm from Aus/NZ and would feel more at home there) but Nigeria, Kenya as you mentioned, and others are all good possibilities. Cheers!

[–]nuesuh1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

So, if someone troubles a 1 meter negro male dwarf, dressed as a woman, a pastafarian pasta strainer on his/her head, severe downs syndrome and a fetish for goat anal sex... one could go to jail.

[–]sillyaccount1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is just an attack on free speech. A global trend that is extremely dangerous.

[–]R3AL1Z31 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The internet is a vast all-encompassing heaven of a wasteland; laws like this shouldn't be allowed to exist. Someone's feelings are going to get hurt by some stranger miles away from them and they feel like that person needs to be punished? Some coddling bullshit if you ask me.

[–]JanLul1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Once in effect and being used, it might be good if a few guys searcg fir sexist texts made by feminists from New Zealand. Texts that argue for killing men or something, plenty of those around. And then file multiple police complaints. Might shake things a bit up at least.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

SJW's are only brave when they can get others to do their work for them. In this case, government.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is great news for New Zealanders. From day, I will be submitting so many claims of sexism. Its gonna be good.

[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure that this law will be applied in an equitable and fair manner, and will apply to any females making any anti-male comments. Oh wait...

[–]moose_war1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why I laugh when people suggest the USA needs hate laws. One of the few perks in living here is that we still have the freest speech.

NOBODY should be celebrating this- not even opponents of the red pill or sexism.

[–]Redpillthriller1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Stalin would be jealous. He had to kill millions to enforce this level of conformism and thought control. Now we actively encourage it.

[–]1R_E_D_11 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The hilarious thing about this is that with every radfem/sjw victory more and more men will just go away. Women will look around and complain 'where are the men?' Meanwhile, dudes will just retreat to their hobbies, porn, hookers and whatever else matches their fancy.

We create the fun spaces. We populate them with good humor, fun, sexy energy and flirtation. When we leave, they're left with a bunch of bitches in hooker heels and bandage dresses trying to fuck the only four alphas in a room. It's like they have literally no idea how to use foresight and are painting themselves into a reproductive corner.

[–]B_Campbell1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Charge a few women for breaking that law and watch how fast they get rid of it.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

obviously that won't happen. Same as domestic violence by women being ignored by courts and police almost always.

[–]DiebytheSword6661 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought, "It's probably because TheRedpill doesn't use the word 'cunt' enough to meet New Zealand standards."

[–]Crisis881 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

How the fuck did this slip under the radar? I've literally not heard anything about this

[–]Alarid1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is blaming the wrong people. It's not women, or feminists, or even SJW doing this. It's politicians, bending their weak spines in half, to try to please the most vocal jackasses in the world.

[–]LukesLikeIt1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Ever since John Key got elected (ex fed banker surprise) he seems hell bent on making this place lil'America. If the TPP passes he'll have pretty much succeeded.

"(The irony here is palpable: linking a voice for men automatically deleted my post and I have had to manually reapprove it because reddit has already banned the use of the website- for nothing more than being a male space)"

Redditards never ceases to amaze me.

But this ain't fascist, oh no, how dare you, only a kind of people can be fascists.

(P.s., since so many people doesn't seem to know, the fascist regimes originated on a lefty base)

[–]RedPillJohnny1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is not exclusive to feminism or New Zealand folks...the left wing fascists are constantly trying to limit our freedoms (ummm, and their own at the same time, duh) through legislation. Mandatory vaccination is another one, Australia is ramping that one up. Hate speech laws totally fall under this banner. Canada has super shitty free speech laws and they are getting worse. And guess what...the fucking ladies will have to adhere to this law as well! The bullshit Euro Economic zone has one in the works already that once passed all countries belonging to the EEC will have to adhere to.

Edit...this is why we red pillers are, wether we like or not, activists.

[–]1nzgs1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This isn't fucking about men against women, it's a cultural-marxist power grab to control speech on the internet for purposes of silencing dissent and it's happening in almost all developed nations. People, even children, being arrested for having the wrong opinions. It's already happening and it's not too many steps from this position to the creation of an online Stasi.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]pirateundies2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

A law like this is quickly repealed by making sure it hurts women. I encourage New Zealanders to start reporting every sexist thing you see women post. From "he's the man so he pays for the date!" to "killallmen"

[Also, start using TOR browser or at least a decent VPN]

[–]Senior ContributorMentORPHEUS1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think its a bit premature/sensationalist to claim that TRP specifically has been banned in NZ.

I'm curious to see how it plays out too.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I lived in New Zealand years ago. I am American. When I was there I was definitely BP. I was so blind and thought they had their shit under control. Beautiful women (not kiwis but all the foreign HBs on Holiday) and had a great go. What the fuck NZ, I wanted to move back one day.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

We should ask the question how can we turn that law against feminism?

That law give the power to put feminists on trial for sexim, It is time to take those person to the court.

It will be a victory what ever the judggement can be: either the feminists get condamned or the judge give a proof that the justice system is turned against men.

And for those who think about civil war, stop it now. it is exactly what the sons of bitch that fund feminisim want, in order to avoid their coming fall by hiding into the confusion of a war.

[–]Throway990380 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I wholeheartedly agree. SJWs regularly make crude and demeaning remarks on men, maybe it's time men started using this law to take them on.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Cultural Marxism going rampant. Expect this to happen in all industrialized countries in the coming 20 years. The decline is very real. Soon enough I expect they are going to put out laws which would make it illegal to say sexist, racist, any kind of -ist things in both public and private places. Well they already do of course but it's going to get much worse.

It's not gonna be overt though. In typical Machiavellian fashion it's going to be to protect children or women or whatever other group of victims that could garner sympathy. Shit boys growing up in the upcoming years are going to be in for a wild ride. They'll probably just give them Ritalin as soon as they leave the womb.

[–]1kick60 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope to shit there's a few guys out there willing to black-knight to the full extent of the law.

[–]EGOtyst0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It IS bad in principle. THe principles themselves are what is fucked up about this very law.

[–]Sdom10 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Bill Maher had a great segment where he called out his fellow liberals on the free speech issue, reminding them that free speech doesn't mean "speech I like." I think it extends to political hypocrisy in general.

It's funny to watch, as the pendulum has swung in favor of gay rights (for the record, I've always been fine with them getting married), gays have turned right around and begun viciously going after people for life choices and speech they don't like. Don't want to make a cake for a gay wedding? Well then, we'll issue death threats to you and take your business. Go on TV and say you wouldn't supply pizza to a gay wedding? We'll, you guessed it, make you fear for your life and destroy your livelihood.

The punishment doesn't fit the crime. It's so severe for one reason - to make an example out of anyone who dares oppose them. That's a little taste of life under a leftist government, which is what we're moving towards.

[–]Hrodrik0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, shut up with that "leftist" shit. Look at the only ones who voted against this. Representatives of the Greens. They're leftist.

Principle 9 A digital communication should not incite or encourage anotheran individual to commit suicide.

Principle 10 A digital communication should not denigrate an individual by reason of his or her colour, race, ethnic or national origins, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

(2) In performing functions or exercising powers under this Act, the Approved Agency and courts must— (a) take account of the communication principles; and (b) act consistently with the rights and freedoms contained in the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990.

Honestly, it sounds like SJWs are going to be hurt a lot more by this than TRPers.

[–]2Sepean1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You really think that the law is going to target SJWs? The police and courts are going to give SJWs and feminists a pass like they do in so many other cases.

[–]Qussz20 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Surely this goes both ways, if any comment is sexist against men then the same will apply?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

No, because sexist doesnt apply to men

[–]tedted88880 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Any chance this could backfire? I mean legally equal rights would mean men get the same average alimony as women, child support prison sentences etc.

Or look at r/tumbrinaction saying men can't be raped or eye contact is rape is blatant sexism. I don't expect it to be enforced but one could make the legal case

[–]Hrodrik0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

As usual, the greens are the few that vote for reason.

[–]godiebiel0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Sir_Shitlord_focker0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't worry about such ridicule laws... it will never be used or once to make an example.

it's like the anti male Canadian (and Swedish) prostitution law. In Canada they arrested 0 men. In Sweden they arrested 5 then they gave up.

It's all for Show.

[–]UnderTheShills0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

mgtowhq.com - it's about the reddest of red pill forum sites ever to exist.

[–]1User-31f64a4e0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Quite the conundrum, this.
The MGTOW approach is to do your own thing and ignore shit like this, but it is not clear when or if MGTOW will lead to a shift. It's sort of a frog, saying enjoy the pot as the water heats up, just find non-female sources of enjoyment.

MRM says appeal to justice and a compassion for men ... that women don't have. Try to break through mens' innate, hard-wired preference for serving women. Good luck with that, too.

TRP says be alpha and PUA says fake being alpha. It's not clear how that helps prevent abuses like this - it's a purely personal strategy. It has more sex and more risk (false accusations, paternity scams, etc.); vigilance can help but is not a guarantee. It too is a frog; unlike mgtow, while the water in the pot heats up it does get laid.

I don't really see an acceptable strategy at this point.

At some point, maybe men would have developed the ability to see through this bullshit and call women on it; laws like this make change impossible by making discussion impossible.

[–]Redpillonlyaccount0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't say sexist against one gender. Given the amount of sexism against men on the Internet I think they're going to have some trouble here.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Ya, because governments - courts and police - never use sexism accusations to smack around men and just ignore what women say/do that falls under the same laws.

[–]Redpillonlyaccount0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

If I lived in New Zealand I'd be reporting the blatant sexism against men and boys in the media. It wouldn't take many of us to make a serious nuisance of ourselves. I hope they try to bring something in like that in the UK. I'd be reporting Jessica Valenti every day.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

they'd just turn around and decide your accusation is sexist and libel and jail you.

[–]Ovadox0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The Red Pill is about improving male sexual strategy. In studying that strategy it is impossible to not realize that the deck is increasingly stacked against us legally and politically. TRP itself should not be a political platform, but men around the world increasingly need a unified movement to crush the society level shit test that is feminism. In the meantime, vote, write your representatives, and stand up for your rights every day, in every way. Push back. Don't join the ranks of the self defeating little eunuchs curled up in the fetal position crying the mantra "There's nothing we can dooooooo. Happy Wife Happy Life."

[–]DuncanMonroe0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not even red pill, and this is fucking ridiculous. Absolutely unacceptable. I can't believe what I am reading. Really, New Zealand? Fucking fascist feminists. This outrage should go beyond ideologies - this is one issue feminists and TRPers should even be able to agree on; that this is too far. I doubt it, though, because feminists seem to love censorship these days.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think companies like facebook and reddit will err on the side of caution to be in compliance with the new law.

Don't underestimate the far reach of poorly written censorship laws.
