So you think by getting a girlfriend your whole life will magically turn around. That you and her will live happily ever after in a land far, far away. That she will fix all your problems, help you with your harmful addictions, your insecurities and you will have nothing to worry about since you and her are finally together. This is all false.

I hate to break it to you, but what people call "love" is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. It hits hard Morty then it slowly fades leaving you stranded in a failing marriage. I did it. Your parents are going to do it. Break the cycle Morty, rise above, focus on yourself.

Successful men get it with women because they are successful. Women don't want to be your mom. Women want a successful man who has his shit together, someone who is confident in himself. Hell you can mow lawns and still get bitches wet just because you are so passionate and confident in what you are doing. Women don't have the same passion as we men do when it comes to doing things and really putting time and effort towards a goal. Literally depends on your personal situation. You know if you're doing enough or not don't lie to yourself. Dude you can reestablish your image trust me. It is hard if you have a group of friends and a social circle but that's what monk mode is for. So that when you come out of it you are a redesigned man. Someone who has convictions and fucking knows it. When people shit test you there's no reason to be mad. If they truly continue to a point that they're trying to see you crack you can respectfully seperate yourself from them and trust me when I say they will definitely internalize it. Well, it's tough. I don't know you so I can't say how you're coming across. All I know is that I do carry a more serious air with me even though I'm pretty joking when people get to know me.

All I can tell you is make sure you're not angry, it's easy to overcompensate and be too damn serious--even more than you actually are. It's tiring. Make sure you're coming across as more neutral, and let people say shit like "is anything wrong? you seem upset" (hate that one). When they do, just shrug it off and tease them a bit. Once they know that you're just like that and it has nothing to do with them they'll back off, even like you more at times.

You can't make people take you seriously, so if you feel like your "friends" are just belittling you or stressing you out, just disappear if you can handle it. If a friendship comes down to just counting invisible digs at each other (real or perceived) then it's probably beyond salvage.

Truth is it's very hard to change around people who bring out the "old" you, because those people put you back in that mode. Your entire synergy and relationship is based off that old you. Sort of like when childhood friends regroup and everyone kind of just slides right back into their old roles, it's hard to avoid it unless you consciously break the pattern, but how many friends are worth that trouble?

Whether your friends will accept the new you is all dependent on how you act and the basis of your friendship. If they're decent people they'll let it go.

Generally though if a guy goes from no spine to having some self respect, friendships are lost. Those are no loss anyways.

That's not true, you can be a completely destroyed person (drug addict, alcoholic, unemployed, homeless) but if you have the frame necessary you can get almost any women you want.

"Frame" is shorthand for frame of mind. When people say you need frame, what they mean is that you need SOLID frame. You don't get shaken, emotional, drawn into her emotions. I'm in a situation where women still want to LTR me despite knowing I've got nothing (shit job, no place, no car). I agree with you that you don't have to be successful to get women but the quality of the women you will be able to get won't be as high as if you were a successful man. A guy with an SMV of 5 might have the same understanding or even better understanding of women than a guy with the SMV of 8.
