In my time as the true Billy Beta, I would believe that women aren't pieces of meat who should be treated like princesses and all that, and in the end it got as far as not chasing them for my desire to get my dick inside of them, but to show them I have more to offer than that, and that if they wanted sex, they would come to me. Eventually it came down to that I put myself in a submissive position where women had to take the lead where they wanted the dating period to go. It was as clear as the sky that this didn't work at all.

Why wouldn't anyone go for the best they can attain? Why would some men just settle with average if they could get a much better woman? Because men offer themselves to women and stop as soon as they find one. Men settle because they don't want to do so much effort all their life to find something better, because it's not worth the additional effort. For many men it's an uphill battle. Most/all responsibility is on the man in the dating game. It's not even that men are too lazy to learn the rules of the game, but rather that they don't even know what to do.
