I used to wonder if a girl likes me instead of would I like to have sex with her so my frame is not strong yet. This comes from scarcity I guess. How do I develop an abundance mentality without having abundance?

[–]Lorddevonshire125 points126 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Lift, pay attention to your grooming, get a few new stylish pieces of clothing, nice shoes and a nice watch if you aren't already doing these things. Read books. I have a stack of books I have read and refer to often. Get over the fear of rejection. A great book is "the little red book of selling" by Jeffrey Gitomer. I read it years ago and it was a kick in the ass. Get used to talking to people, not just women. Read "the rational male" by Rollo Tomassi and then read it again. Hang out with other guys who are good with girls and successful in life, even if they aren't red pill aware but exude the qualities you want to have. Once you start having success it will snowball, sometimes quickly. Be prepared.

Thank you for this reminder.

Dope post dude.

[–]Lorddevonshire1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks man, I appreciate the compliment!

[–]Count_Giggles112 points113 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

fake it till you make it.

But seriously. projecting the mentality will make for a smooth transition once it sinks in.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet16 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the right answer.

Change your behaviour by actually changing it. Your mind will follow.

[–]Evelion16 points17 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

fake it TO make it is the better approach ;)

[–]Count_Giggles1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

i like that one

[–]cant__find__username24 points25 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Raise your SMV. With a dirt SMV, you can believe in it as strong as you want, but reality is nothing will happen.

[–]empatheticapathetic4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Basically. Success breeds further self belief. But you need that first tiny bit, even if you sort of made it up in your head.

[–]m0xyZep57 points58 points  (33 children) | Copy Link

I don't usually like sharing cheesy inspirational YouTube videos, but here you go:

https://youtu.be/X_MDb0HzFE0

That dude is nuts. A madlad, even.

Here's the weirdest part about what he is talking about: it doesn't matter what you believe, the technique just works.

[–]bruiser1849 points50 points  (22 children) | Copy Link

It's crazy isn't it, craziest part is it actually does work.

At the risk of sounding like a schizo, I really do believe your subconscious mind attracts things into your life. Listening to or writing out positive affirmations is a great way to reprogram your mind. It hugely helped me, as I really often repeated in my head things like how I am what every woman wants, how great I am, how successful I am etc.

Listening to/writing this shit out changes the way your subconscious thinks and so projects into your reality. If you fucking drill it into your mind that you're the shit, guess fucking what, that becomes your reality.

Call me mental, call me cheesy whatever but I swear reprogramming your inner mind will reflect hugely on your outer world. Stop thinking you're a pussy, stop thinking you're poor, stop thinking you're weak; get into the mindset that you are the single greatest thing on the planet, and that is how it will be.

Edit: Conor McGregor talks a lot about this. Whether you like him or not, he's got life at his fingertips.

[–]m0xyZep15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The only crazy part is society itself.

And to risk over-simplifying, how often do people make great realizations and have epiphanies about what's "really important" in life to only forget these things a few weeks later?

Plenty of techniques for "programming" although the most effective is to shut off the TV and stay off Facebook and just relax or take a walk. TV is not the good kind of "programming."

[–]1redhawkes6 points7 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Read The Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz if you want to understand why it works.

[–]bruiser182 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

If this is the book I'm thinking of, pretty sure I've read into it before. Good book. All about using the subconscious mind, changing your self image and living as that version of yourself. You attract more of what you feel, your vibration is everything.

[–]1redhawkes0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yea, but the core thing is to act as if. Thinking that you're the shit alone won't do much, but if you act as if you're the shit, your subconscious mind will catch up with time and it'll become second nature.

Your subconscience believes whats true or not what your conscious mind tells it to be and acts accordingly. Also Pook talks about that in The Book Of Pook ('unite the dream with the day').

[–]bruiser180 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. If you seen what I've replied to other people, that's exactly what I'm saying. That's why it's gotta be subconscious. You've gotta believe it and it's gotta be part of you.

I might have forgot to mention that - it's no use writing/saying affirmations and forgetting about them. Getting it into your subconscious mind, acting as if and believing that you already have this, that's how it comes about.

"What you think, you create; what you feel, you attract; what you imagine, you become".

Glad to see other TRPers embracing LOA.

[–]robbiedigital0014 points5 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

So you're saying literally write out the person you want to be? Is there a specific way to do this that has worked for you? Thanks

[–]bruiser1811 points12 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

So you're saying literally write out the person you want to be?

Ehh, yeah that's kind of it.

I'll explain more: basically you think of some affirmations. What do you want to be? Write it out in the "I am" form and make it present tense.

"I am successful"

"I am wealthy"

"I am powerful"

Repeating these things in your head and writing them out changes your subconscious to think "oh, I'm actually not a beta faggot, I'm a successful and powerful man". It's reprogramming your brain.

I won't go on about it too much here, but for those interested search "reprogram your subconscious mind" on Google or YouTube. There are good YouTube channels like YouAreCreators that have great content.

As for what worked for me - listening to affirmations. It rewired my brain to make me more successful in a good few different ways. Good luck bro.

[–]robbiedigital0011 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Cheers I will give this a crack

[–]isodomize2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

If you really wanna try something maybe do Jordan Petersons authoring program. Something along the lines of writing out where you want to be in 10 years and also writing out where you dont want to be in 10 years and using that as your little hell that ultimately scares you from slipping into your bad habits.

[–]isodomize2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeaaa, all great until you check your bank account and realize you're not wealthy and have sub 10k in there. Then what do ya do? Change the meaning of wealthy to instead mean you've got your good health and a decent family??

[–]bruiser181 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol I see your point. But that's why it's called reprogramming. You don't write affirmations a few times and then check to see how much you just made. It's continuous, over a long time, that's when you start to program your mind to attract more of what it is you want.

I don't believe in the "ask the universe for a million quid and you'll have it next week". It's about training your brain for success.

[–]MeanCaregiver2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

When I was 15, I was sick of my life I hated how I was I was morbidly obese I was depressed and I was failing school and my family life was fucked up and one day I woke up and said fuck all this shit and I started to subconsciously manifest my life in 20 years I wanted to be financially free and live in peace alone from everyone I’m 18 now I’ve lost nearly 90 lbs I’ve cut my toxic family members out from my life and I’ve went from a few thousand dollars to a multi-millionaire and I dropped out junior year focused on making money and daily putting in 60-70 hours a week but to the outside world my family and family friends think I’m a loser low life who’s got nothing going on and all this from training my subconscious and being self aware of the bigger picture.

[–]bruiser182 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That's fucking amazing man great job. Visualizing, affirming and acting as if is the best way to manifest the life you want. It's working for me right now too.

Congratulations bro keep on winning

[–]Mr_KenSpeckle0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

If your approach works for you and others, great. I’m not going to try to change your mind. But what works for me is slightly different.

I don’t tell myself I’m the greatest in the world. I think I would feel like I was full of shit. But neither do I beat up on myself. I tell myself that everyday is mine to win or lose. It’s all up to me.

And if I do the things I need to do, then much more often than not, I’m going to win. And if I don’t do the things I need to do, I’ll probably lose and, yeah, I’m a piece of shit (today). But tomorrow I have a chance again to win or lose.

With this attitude, over time, you start to internalize this correlation, yes, you can do this IF you put in the work; but, no, you’re not special.

In my experience the outer confidence comes naturally from faithfully putting in the work.

[–]bruiser180 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

If that's what works for you, then you keep doing you bro.

The law of attraction dictates that what vibration you are in is what you will attract more of. If you feel like the greatest ever, you will attract more of that. Some people won't believe in that which is cool and I see why, I used to be one of those people.

Naturally I have days where I feel like I'm nothing, but I always try live in that vibration of "I'm the best version of myself". Got rejected by a girl? Why would I give a fuck I've got plenty. Lost money? Fuck it, I'm a money making machine I'll get it back.

[–]slimslap17 1 points1 points [recovered] | Copy Link

Do you have anything (links, etc) with Conor talking about this? Great post btw

[–]bruiser180 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]frontiermarine0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

programming your subconscious mind while you sleep is very powerful . I used to think all that spirituality stuff was nonsense at first but i discovered this blog post on the subject years ago and it changed my life.

[–]bruiser181 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Great post. I used to be the same, I thought it was bullshit. If you were to walk up to me this time last year and start preaching all this to me I'd have thought you were a headcase.

Subliminal affirmations are really great because they change your subconscious mind to believe something, without the doubts of your conscious mind. Early this year I listened to an "attract beautiful women" sub for about 3 weeks. I didn't really pay much mind to it, I'd listen for about 20 mins a day while doing my homework. Shockingly, I was (still am) getting approached by girls all the time, girls randomly adding me on snapchat, shit like that.

The power of affirmations + visualising and acting as if I already had my goal is what got me where I am. Last year I was about 135 lbs (6ft), done bad in school, was in an unhappy relationship. Fast forward to now - everything I visualised and believed I already had is now true. I'm 170lbs, regularly fuck HB8s+, am making a lot of money at 18, doing well in school etc etc.

Its amazing shit man

[–]HumbleTrees0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Read the biology of belief by Bruce Lipton. Talks to the same effect at a physiological level. But yea I don't think this is quacky at all. 'The Secret' calls it the law of attraction and the universe provides. I'm not so sure it's that though. I think affirmation and subconscious belief beget the actions required to then make that a conscious reality. The universe downstairs provide, you alter your actions subconsciously to acquire.

[–]bruiser183 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yup you're spot on. A lot of people will call bullshit but I am 100% convinced the law of attraction is real.

I don't really talk about all that magic genie stuff like trying to manifest certain objects, but I have had huge success by changing my thoughts to be more positive, listening to positive affirmations and that brought about major things in my life like more wealth, specific friends, success in business, girls always approach me and more.

[–]HumbleTrees0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Glad it works for u man. Check the book out btw. Fascinating read. Starts out a bit science but get past that bit.

[–]cojohnso2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

This is actually real - Kaiser uses this technique for faster physical, mental, & emotional healing after operations.

Basically, you give the anesthesiologist what you want/envision moving forward, and he reads them to you as you’re waking up from anesthesia

[–]m0xyZep2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

*if you wake up from it

[–]cojohnso0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]cant__find__username0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy Link

[–]sh0t0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]m0xyZep-1 points0 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

I would stay away from online pay services if that's what you're asking, in fact, the YT video was pretty straightforward and I'm not so sure what question you're asking.

[–]Divine_Instrument4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

I think he’s referring to the part of the video where he mentions using headphones and programs just as your falling asleep sort of like hypnosis. He also mentions you can buy programs. Are there programs for this kind of thing that you can listen to available anywhere you know of? Videos on YouTube? I believe that’s what he’s getting asking.

[–]m0xyZep0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, personally I find that it is possible to produce one's own "program" with pretty basic equipment + a computer (most smartphones could probably handle the whole job tbh) but you could literally spend unlimited monies gathering equiptment to make the "perfect" audio track. My point is that it doesn't even have to be a perfect "program" to work to your advantage.

The recording I experimented with was more focused on "monk mode" things with stoic attitude and anxiety relief type things sort of mixed together. I woke up the next day feeling better than I had in probably over a year.

I haven't done any "sessions" more than one night as I'm trying to figure out comfortable headphones, I can sleep on my back but full size headphones are very uncomfortable with any movement, and in-ear headphones are just as bad if not worse in my opinion.

Just simple stuff with a basic FX loop and some white noise in the background. It's almost like deciding what you want to focus on and not having to stress about remembering what you want to improve or second guess what your main goal is. Program your mindset, and go do it, basically.

Key template phrase from video: "You want to improve _________."

One of the few times I did this (so far,) I actually had the volume just right and I started to really really relax and doze off but it was such a deep, calm relaxation from basically just laying down - it amazed me.

On buying programs: not sure what to say and just from a layman's perspective, I think one's own voice may be best suited for something like this. As far as the actual content of what to put in it, it can literally be anything if you think about it... Just put what you want lol

[–]Divine_Instrument1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

This is interesting. I’ve actually noticed something pretty similar with listening to podcasts and YouTube videos. I like to throw my headphones on and listen to them while I’m doing chores, in car, lifting, etc. I’ve noticed I’ve started to internalize some of the things that are discussed despite having not really been paying too much active attention to them. They’re kind of just background noise but my subconscious brain seems to pick it up regardless. It does sound a bit wacky but I might try this. I don’t know anything about recording audio so I’ll have to experiment a bit. Thank you for this.

[–]m0xyZep0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh yeah, slow it down a bit, lower the pitch, add a delay and reverb and you'll shit yourself thinking the voice of God is commanding you to want to improve your shit test contingencies...

and welcome.

Analyze the choices most women make. When they’re alone, do they read? Do they exercise not JUST to post it on social media? Do they only do what society expects of them? Are they “basic”? Do they build anything? Are they passionate about anything?

When I start to ask myself these questions of girls specifically attractive ones the answer to each of those questions is almost always a definitive no. That said I don’t believe anyone is better than them if they answer the questions the same way. I can go on a laundry list of things that I do that growing up I thought we’re just kind of geeky hobbies but now as an adult I can say have contributed to me being a well rounded and knowledgeable person that is very entertained by myself, loves to explore and learn. If girls look like they are just being pretty waiting to be hit on and still pass judgment, they can get right the fuck out of my life and often my mentality is what makes them want to stay in my life.

I’ve had a girl that thought she was hot shit walk into my apartment and ridicule my guitars on the wall, my framed art and a satanic bible next to the Wall Street journal on my coffee table. She couldn’t fathom what I was or why I displayed any of these. It’s not a display, it’s where I live; I read ANYTHING and love and make art as well as am a musician. Just her tone and judge mental look didn’t convince me I could own her, it made me not want to deal with her entirely.

THAT is the mentality I believe the TRP encourages. Not pretending but really valuing yourself above the approval of boring, vapid “basic bitches.”

[–]SalporinRP21 points22 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly. 99% of women consider some bullshit like traveling or netflix to be a hobby.

So I just remember that and am like "yeah I'm definitely a prize compared to that bitch" lol

[–]dtyler869 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. Traveling is fun and I suppose could be a hobby, but even then it’s amazing to see “how” they travel. I know one girl who used to be a suicide girl and I had so many judgemental thoughts about her, but when she travels she travels alone, she hikes, she stays in tents by herself and I’m truly impressed by her overall zest for life and completely independent and totally self-sufficient manner and lack of constant social media updates.

I’ve traveled with ex-gfs that don’t care about museums, they’re picky eaters, they bitch about the locals all while CONSTANTLY updating Instagram.. it’s pretty obvious when you’d rather be gay with yourself than be with this girl for the combined moments you spend orgasming with her that it’s time to move on alone with a higher self worth mindset.

[–]no-negativity-3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

She sounds classless.

[–]dtyler861 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]acithetic1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

satanic bible

Just curious, why?

[–]dtyler862 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I have read a bunch of other religious texts just out of curiosity and the Satanic Bible seemed like it was next in line. I don’t claim or feel that I’m a Satanist, but I do have some pretty luciferian views so it kind of made sense to check it out. Not as intriguing as I thought it would be.

[–]Stokestix 1 points1 points [recovered] | Copy Link

Actually work my ass off to become a prize?

I look great in clothes, even better naked. -> lift

I have good job. -> work hard

I am confident and outgoing and social. I make people laugh all the time. -> play even harder

I have my own hobbies, interests and missions.

[–]no-negativity-11 points12 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]cojohnso4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]EnthuMotivInspir8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

"If you build it, they will come"

I lifted weights and lost weight, which made me traditionally attractive. Having a better body, I bought new clothes that fit my muscles well.

Being traditionally attractive alone did not give me that mentality, but girls reinforced it by showing me more attention. As you go about your day, when girls start referring to you as 'the hot guy' or start approaching you, the mentality sort of manifests.

[–]Senior EndorsedVasiliyZaitzev8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Your life is the most priceless thing that you have jurisdiction over.

It is finite.

You will die and with it your experiences and perspective will be gone forever.

Friends, family, loves and experiences will come and go. You will still move forward. You can't move forward once you're gone.

With that in mind, I choose to value myself above all others. It doesn't mean that I can't care or love others. It does mean that the most priceless thing I can give someone is my time. I can never get that back. So, I choose to surround myself with people that bring value or happiness to my life. All other things would be a waste.

This works for me.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, I look at myself in the mirror and ask “how many guys your age are in this good of shape, are as smart are you, and are as creatively talented as you” and the answer is always very few.

[–]plenty_of_eesh0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Somewhere in between.

It took me about a few months to get any traction at all.

Was still somewhat spurious though.

At the two year mark I hit my stride... my text game reached some kind of level that seemed to open more doors.

But obviously YMMV. My style is more nerdy charm... Of course being ripped and a great dancer would go a long way towards success. You can work on those almost anywhe as well, though.

Going to class with mostly girls while retaining my masculinity, being physically fit, popular, and one of the most intelligent people in my class. Would get IOIs just waking past groups of girls. People telling me “I feel like most of the teachers like you”. People wanting to be my friend out of nowhere. People being nice to me for no reason. Matching with plenty of girls on tinder. Getting hundreds of nudes. Having an above average lay count. Having an above average education level.
Guys getting insecure around their girlfriends around me. Girls feeling my arms when I was in class. Guy friends telling me I’m charming. The list goes on.

All of these is the result of extremely hard work and investing in myself.

Being the prize

[–]SalporinRP0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

To be honest it was because I simultaneously improved myself in many ways (lifting, better grooming, better style, career planning, hobbies, etc.) while realizing 99% of women weren't shit. I had destroyed by BP programming of thinking women were "strong" or some bullshit just because they existed.

I realized that I actually am the prize compared to some harlot who's looks will fade in 8-10 years and then she'll be stuck with having "traveling" and "netflix" as a hobby.

[–]StopGaming12340 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Literally do what it takes to be the prize.

Every single day we have multiple choices to make. And even though we all know what we should be doing or what would be the better decision in the long term, we still chose the easier path.

I guarantee you that you can't have a loser mentality if you do all the shit you know you should be doing.
