Govt and courts literally have harsh laws where the women just have to walk to the police station and file a 498A or a rape case. The man will be arrested for non bailable offence.

Any satisfactory and well grounded arguments for the "most unsafe country for women"? Because such surveys are done by biased sources like BBC, Vice, Al Jazeera etc etc. Because india is much behind US, France and England in rape even after increasing rape cases by 20% to account for unreported cases. What a joke that you whine about US while dissing India in same sentence . On the other hand, India has a growing number of fake cases on women's issues against men, which has ruined lives of countless men. You are complaining about your men being unable to report injustice? Ours are serving for crimes they have never done, and this is more than 50% of cases being fake.

I also asked you to increase the numerical value of the rate itself by 20% to account for unreported cases . India still remains WAYYY behind. And no, this rape statistic was specifically about women, I matched it with the wiki article on female violence in different countries as well.

No, there aren't laws against marital rape against India, it is counted under domestic violence. But I asked you to increase the stats by 20% didn't I?

If even increasing the statistic by 20% for unreported cases does not suffice, I would ask you to shave it off with Occam's razor.

Before throwing blames at countries by reading biased news portals with a history of writing biased and atrocity articles, maybe you should shift the vision a bit.

Laws are so screwed that I am planning not to marry [16 m, India] . A rape allegation means immediate arrest in a NON BAILABLE offence. A molestation case is bailable but your name will never be cleared. Couple that with a media that orgasms at painting men as monsters, even if the stories are fake and you have a disastrous situation.

Don't even let me get into the 6+ deadly laws a married woman can use on her husband (some even for petty reasons like if wife wants to eat in a restaurant her entire life husband is obliged to obey, failing to do so means husband lands non bailable offence) to put him in non bailable offence.

The laws are so favoured against women that according to Indian laws a woman can NEVER rape (indian laws say that penetration is definition of rape), in case of adultery the woman can NEVER be punished, however the person she is cheating with can be punished. I can go on and on with this.

I mean we are a patriarchal society, like every other civilisations around the world, and yes women indeed used to be viewed lesser than men till not long ago , and yes till not 3 decades ago large scale female fetuses were aborted as male child is superior, and yes dowry used to be taken, and these things still happen in urban areas, but that does not mean that here men can rule their women like middle east. Laws are that biased against men . There are several documentaries on this

you just can't help but to be ignorant, middle eastern here, women have this thing called mehrie, it's like alimony but she can ask for it whenever she wants it and unlike alimony its not based on her needs and your income, it's usually a large number of golden coins(4000 men are in prison in iran for failing to pay it, 600000 have men have had to pay it just in the last 2 years) , becuase men are considered to have a temper most jobs that don't require mucsle power are given exclusively to women, men are forced to serve in the military at 18 for 2 years while women have fun you would be busting your ass protecting the border from armed smugglers, women can take their time between school and university, but men can't becuase as soon as they fail they have to serve in the army which makes exams stressfull for men, becuase men are considered capable of doing manly work, families try hard to pay for their daughters college but suggest to their sun to learn a form of manual labor so that they don't have to pay for college,this makes 18 year old boys forced to join the military after school so that they can get a job afterward, forcing military work to young men cuases hundreds of suicides of soliders annually, 98% of work fatalities are men, child custody of children below 7 is blindly given to mothers, the father has to pay for child support till the son is 18 and if the son decides to keep studying he has to keep paying, he has to pay for the daughter regardless of her age as long as she is single and doesn't have any job, needless to say they don't get a job when they can get payed doing nothing, i can write for ever about how bad men have it in a third world country, we have traditionalism fucking us in one way and so called gender equality adopted from countries where atleast some women actually do shit fuck us up in another way.

But it is still without condition hyporicitcal without question that western people won't shy away from revering dogs as part of family (like you said, man's best friend), but when indians revere cows suddenly it is funny and "backward". According to indians, cows are of a motherly position, due to them providing milk . But when India banned beef I remember reddit forums going berserk to insult india and India's reverence for cows ABSOLUTELY IGNORING how they themselves go apeshit when they see Chinese eat dogs. Eating dogs is as wrong as eating cows, you can't convince otherwise. I can also claim cow is supposed to be a motherly position not a steak. So, dogs are Chinese 's best delicacy.

And whom are you teaching? I am an indian myself and let me tell you this , the practice you are talking about was VERY regional, ONLY in the region of Central bengal. And NOWHERE ELSE. British atrocity literature and newspapers (just how BBC does now) made it seem like it was a NORM in india. And this is a VERY old thing (200 + years ago, so as relevant as slavery in 'Murica)

"Uneducated parents india", well things have changed A LOT. The favouring of male child has significantly reduced, with govt giving incentives to female children and other benefits and several improvements.

The women in my class (and in city areas with equal education) are the ones who take up reservation. Reservation doesn't go to the women who actually aren't able to recieve proper education, it goes to those in mordern city areas with equal education. Economic reservation is the only reservation I feel is justified.

Dude in India if you're walking on a street and some woman asks you for a favor and you refuse, she'll just scream and you'll end up getting beaten and then jailed. India is also a witness of domestic violence to men and in India women slapping men is normal but try the opposite and you end up getting jailed. No wonder why there are a lot of rape cases in India because an average Indian man is the literal definition of frustration. If you're not virgin as a male many girls will reject you for that. If you reject a girl for not being a virgin and people will say you're a psychopath and need help, she may even slap you for "thinking like a boomer".

Visit India and see it live. Streets are ruled by females, if they shout you're out. And as far as slapping is concerned, it's pretty common in India to get slapped by a woman in public for disagreeing to her and it takes seconds before she'll start up a drama and start shouting that you touched her at "places". People say India is unsafe for girls which is just a stereotype, the reality is way worse for men. Not saying rapes don't happen here, it happens but the men who do it are just frustrated or have the support of some political organization.
