I find it funny how they never talk about the occupations where women get paid more then men.

woah dude

[–]Itneverbegancel29 points30 points  (10 children) | Copy Link

Equal work equal pay. If you can't work as much as men, then don't expect equal pay

[–]Philletto14 points15 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

They take easier lower responsiblity jobs or work alongside men but do less of the work.

[–]Itneverbegancel5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

They shouldn't expect equal pay as well

[–]Philletto4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

If I was offered a lower paid job but no responsibilities, uncriticized when I stuff up and can take days off work over nothing, I would jump at the chance.

[–]Lickiecat7 points8 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

But what if I want to have kids and do fuck all for the rest of my life calling myself a full time mum? I deserve the same pay you pigs get, I have the hardest job in the world!

I think they might’ve been sarcastic...

Edit: the guy above me was debating the comment, and we both figured out they were, no hard feelings :-)

[–]Itneverbegancel0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

The comment seemed way too real to me for it being sarcastic

[–]Mycroft0331 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

It seems to me to be over exaggerated. Not really sure because obviously I’m not them, but I’m inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’m just saying I don’t think stuff in all caps is entirely necessary, you know?

Edit: looking at their comment history, it does look like they hold an anti feminist viewpoint

[–]Itneverbegancel1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Would you explain why? Isn't it the how the system works?

Edit:Deleted my comment now, considering it was all a troll

[–]MrSquare2051 points52 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Bruh I can debunk “the wage gap” in one sentence: Why hire men?

[–]spoderman61616 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Debunking in a sane world: Yes. In a feminist's world: Impossibru

[–]VestigialHead36 points37 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Feminists know fully well that the gap is a fictional thing. They are using the lie as a means to gain more power and less responsibility for women. It is the standard feminist agenda.

[–]INFERNOIGNIS22 points23 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

Nah they're too stupid to understand it

[–]Philletto6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I like both posts abd I fully agree with you both.

[–]vikstarleo1232 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Happy cake day

[–]INFERNOIGNIS0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks!

[–]vikstarleo1230 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

No problem bro

[–]Jakeybaby1251 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

They think with their feelings, not facts

[–]JZSquared13 points14 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Didn't you know? Facts are a tool of the patriarchy.

[–]Minibobbafett31 points32 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Women just dont ask for a raise.

[–]NohoTwoPointOh15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

..and when they do, the reasons are horrible. Women are notoriously poor negotiators.

[–]53withtrollhair7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why is there a pay gap? All the women have been protesting for the last 31/2 years.

Laaaayyydeeeeesss- no money in protesting, get back to work already!

[–]Hannubal4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

When talking about the wage gap stops being lucrative.

[–]User-31f64a4e6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

The Wage Gap is a conspiracy theory

Like patriarchy, rape culture, systemic oppression, and heteronormativity ...

[–]DanknessEvermemes0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Surely heteronomaty isnt a conspiracy theory? if the belief is that being hetero is the normal sexual orientation then isnt that correct seeing as the amount of people who are lgb is considerably low compared?

[–]User-31f64a4e0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, you have fallen for the leftist trap of thinking a word means what it means, rather than the new usage assigned by the left.

That heterosexuality is normal is not a conspiracy theory.

That "heteronormativity" is a scheme by normal people to oppress lunatic deviants ... that is the conspiracy theory.

[–]Goulish4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

what are the reasons though (I'm not a feminist, just trying to inform myself)?

[–]im-not-creative1012 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The original stat said that women make 77 cents for every dollar that a man makes. Feminists have twisted the statement to a women makes 77 cents to a man’s dollar for the same job. They don’t put into account that men on average work longer hours, ask for raises more, and generally work higher paying jobs. Even so, if companies could legally pay women less for the same job then why would you hire men in the first place?

[–]LesArcades[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The gender wage gap is the division of the median earning of women and men working full time

It doesn't take into account career choices (job, position, education, overtime, hazard bonuses, salary negotiation and promotions, profitability)

Why do women go for lower paid jobs and positions ? Because in the western world, unless you come from a poor family, there isn't much societal pressure to do so.

One of the lowest yearly STEM field female graduate rate is found is Scandinavia which is considered the most egalitarian society as opposed to the middle east (Iran) where you find the highest rates in the world.

This is described as the gender-equality paradox. Why would you work your ass off 50h a week for decades in a job that probably won't fulfill you as much as spending more time with your kids when in the eyes of most men your value as a partner resides in your physical attractiveness and cheerfulness. And all of that just to deem unattractive men that make less money than you ?

My opinion is smart women prefer flexibility and value their free-time (as should men that want to get out of the deeply ingrained social conditioning in order to be more happy with themselves)

Yes spend all of the money you apparently make less of on a petition to make women more money

[–]garvcrazy1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Women tend to get promotion faster just by sleeping with their boss. Why don't they add this to their website?

What they should be saying is, "Stand up for basic math and reading". As either of those two skills is all that's necessary to debunk the wage gap myth:

All you need to debunk the wage gap myth is elementary school

[–]DimitriT0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Paying woman less money because they are woman is illegal. Simply going to court or threatening of going to court would fix this issue for you and anybody else working for a company that discriminates against woman in this manner.

[–]leapcry0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Simple as. If women were paid less all businesses would just hire women

[–]L0SERlambda0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This annoys me. Very much.
