No one is defending men doing this when they do it, they are just preaching that the only reason someone would do this is if the system were so unfair and unreasonable that they were driven to such desperation, which stands to reason as having your children stolen from you and having to pay for the privilege is pretty much the worst thing that can happen to anyone, especially if it is done out of vindictiveness and callousness which it so often is.
