The "humans on the verge of..." part is also an offshoot of toxic female thinking of doom and gloom. Its why they keep revising "the earth will run out of X in Y years" every few years pushing it back to keep the doom and gloom narrative. It's as if doom and gloom comes natively with a female way of thinking, same as higher percentage of neurotic or psuchotic behaviour if unvhecked by men.
