If such a fact is true, all the CEOs would just hire women instead of men, because they can pay less to their employees. Do you think that companies would be so stubborn of male privilege that they would put aside profit. Obviously not. So is this a perfectly valid argument?

their argument is that men are chosen over women for higher paid jobs when in actual fact that makes up a very little part of the gap

Wage gape is a lie but it shouldn't be. After all, earning money is much more important for men than for women. Women reject men for earning less than they do. So for a man to get a woman, he has to make more money than she does. Giving women all these economical privileges and discriminating against men is as if men were forced to undergo a operation that would decrease their height. It's like making men shorter and women taller ... while women already despise every man who isn't at least 6 feet tall.

Didn't PewDiePie make this argument, and women got mad?

Women are also less likely to argue or haggle their wages. Typically they just accept the first offer while men tend to bargain and haggle

Men are also less likely to take time off ill, more likely to ask for raises and promotions. Also, careful research shows that men appear to take less maternity leave. Feminists are currently investigating the reasons for this phenomenon, although there is some speculation that it may be linked to the strange phenomenon known as "manspreading"

At this point I think the only people promoting the wage gap myth know that it’s false.

Additionally, there is no evidence stating Why companies will go so out of their way to do this. Isn't a bit offensive in itself to assume all male company executive are sexist?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
