But everyone knows that having both parents is undeniably better. If you have to choose one then it really depends on the circumstances.

[–]Gritzollen2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

If you have to choose one you choose the male parent as single moms raise a lot of criminals

[–]Computers-XD14 points15 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

If you have to choose, it depends entirely on the situation, reason for divorce, etc.

[–]HatecrewFTR3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the correlation is more so single parenthood and not single motherhood

[–]Noesk2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I would choose my dad, when (and if) my parents finally get divorced, if I would have to choose. My mom is just a complete piece of work. She can't manage her anger and is very entitled. Also my dad has a very nice girlfriend whom I get very well along with and is a much nicer person.

[–]dmen333x21 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Can't say i was raised to be criminal neither was my brother i'm more depressiv and want to kill my self often i wish i had bot parents maybe another dad my das was the normal dead beat wjo was hitting my mom and stuff so yeah i wish for no one to habe to choose both is almost always the right answer

[–]Mick_Donalds29 points30 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Good for Jose. He's hated by the Shrivers, and he's the one who's going to end up looking most like his dad.

[–]justacuriousdalek128 points29 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Same person? Confused. Guy on the left was raised by his mom. It wasn't until story broke that he acknowledged the boy

[–]Covfefe04514 points15 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Can someone explain this pic a little

[–]n_i_g_w_a_r_d16 points17 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

It's a random pic with a caption by someone who apparently has no real arguments.

[–]Covfefe0456 points7 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

I mean are they related? I get that single mothers usually have no control over male children

[–]VestigialHead14 points15 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Both guys are Arnolds sons. The one with him was raised by Arnold and likely got a better diet and was encouraged to do much more exercise and keep himself healthy.

The other one was raised by Arnolds ex. It appears he has not done a lot of exercise and has a unhealthy diet.

It just goes to show that it is important that children are raised by both parents if it is possible. Single parents often struggle or miss out an entire macho or feminine aspect of the parenting. It is possible to raise a balanced child with one - but very hard and usually goes wrong. It is also possible that both parents can raise a screwed up child. But that is less likely.

[–]n_i_g_w_a_r_d0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

the guy with arnold is fit cause arnold has a penis, defenitely not because arnold was a pro bodybuilder and fitness expert

[–]VestigialHead1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

No he is fit because Arnold is male so he will tend to give a male perspective to life if he is a single parent. Maria is a women so she would be more likely to give a female perspective to her children.

You will probably find that Arnolds son is not a strong emotionally or socially as Maria's son.

This is why it is important to have a macho and feminine parent when raising a child - they get the best of both worlds. Children raised without one of these aspects will usually be lacking. Why do you think the family unit has been the standard for thousands of years?

[–]Covfefe0450 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Jesus look how pathetic the one on the right is. Great pic, OP.

[–]MikePencil69_v2-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I was wondering the same thing and you didn’t really explain anything you just told them what to think

[–]TexugoRaivoso66638 points39 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

This is not anti-feminist.

[–]Vlad_Wearing_Plaid9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea it’s kind of anti women

[–]mayrunal18 points19 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

what does this even mean? and anyway, i’m pretty sure everyone can agree being raised by both is best

[–]n_i_g_w_a_r_d14 points15 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

this isn't anti feminist. this is just straight up "haha women are shit men are better". You are exactly what this sub should be trying to stop.

[–]DelusionalDonut132 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

First off, this isn’t how every situation is.

It depends on the person, not the gender.

Second, it’s best to have bist parents.

[–]IAmLittleBigRon16 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is dumb

[–]noleague11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Stupid...

[–]Covfefe0452 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I think the post is trying to show that it’s inarguably better to be raised by a single father than a single mother which is what I think the point of the post was. The statistics especially education, incarnation rates, etc of males raised by single moms speaks for itself.

[–]Matthew4588-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This post fails to do that. Of course the one raised by Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be fit, and the one raised by someone who isn't a body builder isn't fit, it's just common sense. If you switched the roles to bodybuilder female and regular man, it would be the exact same.

[–]SlavNotDead6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Holy fucking shit, you people are fragile. I knew reddit tends to have this effect on people, but really?

Nobody is claiming that men>women, put down your pitchforks and stop the autistic screeching.

All OP tried to say (albeit it very poorly, I’ll give you that) is that a BOY needs a FATHER in his life. It does not mean that father is “better”. It does not mean that mother is unnecessary. But there is absolutely no denying that a boy needs a father figure in his life to grow up into a self respecting man.

No matter how good of a parent child’s mother is, she can’t teach the boy manhood. Sorry to break it to you, lads, but this is how it works.

I was honestly expecting far less mindless outrage on a “antifeminist” subreddit, but this is reddit after all. Mindless outrage is part of the deal.

[–]Lui_Le_Diamond5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is trying to claim women are better, but I agree this is just stupid. Both parents are equally necessary in the development of a child.

[–]laptopdragon1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

can someone put a helmet on the kid in the blue shirt?

[–]Certain-Moose7 points8 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

This is so sexist and stupid. It would’ve been much more accurate if it was ,”Raised by Single Mother vs Raised by Both Parents”

I'm sure most people like me came her for anti feminist content, not anti women. Everyone can agree that being raised by both parents is the most ideal situation, but are we really shitting on women who has to raise children on their own for whatever reason just because they're women? It reminds me too much about how feminists shits on single fathers just because they're men. I thought the point of calling out feminism was to not sink to their very sexist level.

I want content about feminism, not cringy shit like "expectations vs. reality" tier memes.

[–]n_i_g_w_a_r_d3 points4 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

“If this sub offends you L E A V E” LoL. First of all, this is not r/incels to be hating women. Feminists, especially radical feminists are those type of people, not us. People like you are what defer more men from joining subs like this, how about YOU leave instead, since you think this sub is to shit in women, rather than feminism. Second of all, your post is not even factually correct. Being raided a single PARENT is never ideal, and it negatively impacts the child either way. There’s no huge disparity between kids raised by single parents, since that’s bath regardless.

[–]yettusno0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

No. No no no

My dad was abusive and drove me into deppresion my mom divorced him and I'm fit have good grades and a great person she worked she went on walks with me studied and spent time with me and thought me every thing a dad was supposed to. This post is just woman bad man good and is extremely biased, but just dont bash on women because men can be bad too

[–]dmen333x20 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Kind of anti woman instead of anti feminist not gonne lie i'm the right side but still would way both parents are important someone i know is raised by his father alone he ist a petty criminal and another one i know raised by his dead is the nicest man i know it doesn't depends not only on father or mother also on who are the parents how are they which relationship ist healthier also i would say both parents would be better

[–]NotSoRainbow0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think this is anti-feminist but rather just anti-women. I'm pretty sure this is not what the people on this sub look for.

[–]sarkasticheskayasuka0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

What a load of shit. My dad was raised by a single mum, went in the army, fought for our country and was a welterweight boxer.

[–]ShangriLaSavior0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is retarded 😂. It’s your choice if you are a fat adult or a in shape adult. It’s not about whether you were raised by a male or female. People really are weird bruh.

[–]Lui_Le_Diamond-1 points0 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

This is pointlessly gendered. Both parents are necessary for proper development.

[–]Covfefe0452 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

It’s inarguably better to be raised by a single father than a single mother which is what I think the point of the post was. The statistics especially incarnation rates of males raised by single moms speaks for itself.

[–]Lui_Le_Diamond-1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Maybe but it could be more clear. Feminism has screwed single fathers, and they are important but I'm but they're equally important. I don't think it's better necessarily to be raised by a single father or single mother.

[–]Zero_the_Unicorn-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It doesnt matter what you think, statistics prove you wrong.

[–]Lui_Le_Diamond0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Which statslistics?

[–]Matthew4588-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

This is a bad post. Obviously the one being raised by Arnold freaking Schwarzenegger is going to be buff and in a good diet. It's less man vs. woman and more raised by a world famous bodybuilder vs. not a bodybuilder

[–]Zero_the_Unicorn0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

So everyone whos not raised by a bodybuilder is going to by unhealthy?

[–]chambertlo-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
