If he does he’s going to jail, just a sad fact.

I've been attacked by women, playfully and angrily. I'll grab an arm and twist until they are sideways and can't kick me in the groin. They always calm down and give up.

[–]_edge_mcgee_110 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

No hitting at all.

[–]Barnaaa10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not a question, I will even say he should punch that walking dishwasher

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy Link

No. It’s wrong for her to hit him, yes. She should be punished? Yes. But it’s unfair to say that the man should hit her as men are far more stronger than women... so the blows wouldn’t even be equal lol

There better ways to solve violence and abuse and it isn’t by equating them

[–]User-31f64a4e3 points4 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

But it’s unfair to say that the man should hit her as men are far more stronger than women

Oh.

Does that men I can get free hits in on another man if he happens to be bigger than me?

If I see someone who looks like an NFL linebacker at a bar, I can just walk up to him, slap his beer out of his hand, flip him off and walk?
Because that's where the whole "never hit a woman thing" goes - there is then no restraint on her asshole behavior.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

I didn’t say that men should just take the hits... but honestly do you really believe that a women hitting a man this strong would do the same damage he would hitting her? It isn’t an equal situation

And i also never said she should go unpunished, just didn’t think hitting her back would solve anything nor would be fair/equal

[–]User-31f64a4e1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

do you really believe that a women hitting a man this strong would do the same damage he would hitting her?

No, and I don't care. This is irrelevant.

  • Once the gloves come off, they are off. The object of a fight is to win, not to inflict proportional damage or be nice to the opponent. Once they take it there (physical confrontation), the your safest move to preserve your own well being is to be maximally effective.

  • It requires chance, not strength or skill, to strike a permanently debilitating injury such as destroying an eye. If she attacks, you are at risk for this. Your only choice is to end the confrontation as swiftly and decisively as possible.

  • You never know if and when someone is armed - be that a gun, a bottle, a knife, or some found object. Quickly debilitating your opponent prevents them from escalating.

  • The world is flooded with white knights who will defend any woman at any time. This means when a woman attacks you, bystanders are likely to join in. This requires strikes, not grapples, to retain your freedom of movement against multiple attackers. This requires an immediate debilitation of your opponent, before some asshole hits you in the head from behind. This requires full, immediate force and then an exit prior to summoning authorities.

  • Any physical confrontation is a potential life or death situation, even with a weaker or less skilled or unarmed attacker.

It isn’t an equal situation

Once you put your hands on another, you renounce your right to an "equal situation".

This is the flaw in your way of thinking. What the fuck does 'equality' have to do with crossing the line into violence? It is good to see when someone recognizes that women are NOT equal to men, but they do theoretically have equal legal rights and equal legal responsibilities. I say should, because they get the pussy pass and limited accountability; equal de jure, they de facto have more rights and fewer responsibilities. We see this in your comments, advocating special privileges in physical confrontations - a privilege you fail to extend to weaker men facing stronger ones. Fuck off with that, you hypocrite.

Holding back possible consequences for female misbehavior is hardly promoting equality. It is female supremacy.

I don’t understand your need to go down with this argument by rudeness as your arguments themselves would be enough to show me that I could be wrong in my own way of thinking. I was never disrespectful towards you during our conversation nor I ever implied I believe “female misbehavior” should go unpunished... as I clarified multiple times on my comments that I did believe they should be punished and held accountable by their actions, however hitting them back was unnecessary as it isn’t equal.

I don’t see why I should acknowledge stronger men vs weaker men as it was never the point of the whole argument lol

But anyways, I don’t see why I should discuss such a thing with you if you just go so easily towards the spectrum of disrespect and bluntly ignores the fact that I do advocate for punishment for violence on both sexes, just didn’t agree on the “right” for men to respond back by hitting them back.

[–]User-31f64a4e0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, I guess we differ on the right to self defense (by anyone imho, man or woman).

[–]phoen13322 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

So sad that this has downvotes, and I agree to a point, but there's a fine line where it's best to let the authorities take care of it, and stepping

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
