METANew Design! New Flairs! New Voting! Oh My! (self.RedPillWomen)

RPW is the first of our red pill network subs to get a facelift, (the rest are coming soon). Today we're announcing our new flairs and new design!

The New Flairs are as follows:

Theory - For discussion on red pill theory. Hypotheses and essays are welcome.

Discussion - General discussion topics, conversation, debate and opinions on Red Pill subjects.

Advice - Need help with a specific situation?

Field Report - Tried something you learned here and got a result? Good/Bad? Share it here!

Self Improvement - Replacing our Health and Fitness tags, self improvement takes over for all!

Lifestyle - Homemaking, recipes, makeup and fashion tips all go here!

Meta - Discussion about the forum.

Relationships - Discussion about marriages, or any other relationships.

Parenting - Brand New! Parenting flair for questions and discussion related to parenting!

Off Topic - Didn't fit in any other category?

We are still working out a few CSS kinks here and there, let us know if anything doesn't look quite right.

Ooooh it's lovely!! Design is nice and clean. I love the tone on tone pinks! The background pink really is a good choice, it's easy on the eyes. Thank you, RPS! :)

I really like the look of everything but I feel as though I am going to miss the down vote in the CSS since not having it makes me feel like we are too sheltered for criticism.

The downvotes were disabled on the old template as well. But don't worry, people find a way to downvote anyway. All you have to do is disable the CSS.

Why are the downvotes disabled though? /u/Delixcroix makes a good point, doesn't this take away from the sub's expression of opinions? And like you said, people can still downvote anyway.

We've historically had a very difficult time with troll subs brigading and downvoting posts. This has been an effective policy to limit the effects of it.

And as Lucky mentions, we put up a small barrier to downvotes to encourage people to express their disagreement by posting.

We tend to prefer that people express their opinion with discussion, rather than downvotes. Downvotes don't contribute anything other than "I don't agree with that", discussion tells us why not. So, we put up a small barrier to downvotes to encourage people to express their disagreement by posting.

I love everything, I'd just prefer if upvotes were hearts instead of stars, so the same shape would be the button and animation.

We're using the star to bring continuity to our upvote with the new design for the other red pill subs (coming soon) as well as the site trp.red which uses the star for "favorites."
