A common genre of fairy tale taught to little girls in many parts of the globe. The story involves an average girl being "discovered" by a handsome prince who whisks her away to a life of luxury and pampering and never-ending bliss. And he'll do all this in return for what? Nothing. That’s the magic of it ... happiness just shows up.
This logic is also sometimes seen in the adult world, for example with the “Cargo Cults” in the South Pacific (who patiently wait for "Jon Frum" to arrive with cargo planes filled with lots of swell goodies).
