Saw this posted by a friend. I always find these "open letters" hilarious. You do have to read the girl's article first, in its entirety, in order to fully appreciate/understand the content and tone of the guy's response.

Here you have the typical solipsistic bullshit advice given by a woman who has no idea what works in reality or what matters to men. It's all about womyn! Men need to "buck up" and get back to being providers. Not once does she mention anything that women should do to step up their game.

What happened to simply getting to know someone? Are we so deeply immersed in hookup culture that we no longer feel the need to have conversations? When was the last time you took a girl on a date and courted her? When was the last time you made a real effort with a woman? When was the last time you proved yourself to be a catch?

Same questions back at you, bitch. When was the last time you showed you were worth being courted? When was the last time you made a real effort with a man? When was the last time you proved yourself to be a catch?

Just because there was a woman who violated your trust does not mean the random woman sitting next to you will do the same thing.

Learning from mistakes and preparing for all possibilities is what rational humans do. We, as men, don't get to cry ourselves out of dangerous or precarious situations if the worst possible outcome comes to us. We deal with it.

Here, you have a self-admitted "romantic" and quite bluepill guy. However, he has acted like the woman writer wants men to behave his whole life. And he has nothing to show for it. He has come to realize that shaming men into being providers is unfair when women don't reciprocate this at all.

I had always taken the honorable and honest approach. I wrote girls love letters and poems in elementary school. They wound up dating the kid with the new pair of JNCO Jeans. I quoted love songs and romantic movies to girls in middle school. They wound up dating the kids on the football team.

Guilty as charged. I wore JNCO jeans and Mossimo and 26 Red.

After all, by this time, I figured I was an expert on romance and relationships. It wasn’t easy. I found that by trying to be honest and romantic with a girl in a bar, she just thought I was a creep.

Nothing is more of a turn-off than a bluepill guy who wants to worship you.

I immersed myself in the craft [pickup game] and got immediate results, I couldn’t understand it. I spent my whole life pouring my soul out to women and still didn’t have my true love. Yet, here I was practically insulting women and having them all over me.

He goes on to mention how he is still romantic, confesses to the "love of his life" & gets burned, yet again. He finally concludes:

There’s no point in climbing the cliffs of insanity for a woman who will only think you’re a creep for doing so.
