I just learned about the whole community a few months ago from seddit from my single friend as soon as I got out of a breakup. Ironically that same friend started dating a girl soon after and refuses to even consider TRP since its "too extreme".

I keep telling him that, just like me, his girlfriend is starting to turn him beta and he's giving up things for her, but he's wasn't listening at all. Eventually I gave up and realized that he'll eventually learn when he falls and gets hurt. Honestly, I think in almost all cases you need to go through a traumatic experience to even give it a chance.

I don't drop the "red pill" terminology on friends or family. That's just inviting trouble. Rather, I just make sure to speak up in defense of individual ideals that align with Red Pill thinking.

Outside of that, I just would rather spend my time learning from other men and letting my life speak for itself. If someone asks my advice, I'll tell them everything and anything I know. Outside of that, I mind my own business.

I wouldn't appreciate a Beta turd saddling up to me, and giving me advice on how to bag a 300lb, motor-mouth feminist. I try and return the favor, and keep my opinions to myself unless I'm asked.

I have an alternate theory, hear me out, I think some facets of the TRP are fully integrated into many guys, even so called "white knights", without even ever heard of the TRP...however what turns many people off is that some people act like they've discovered some super secret formula when in actuality they just realizing stuff a lot of other men have just naturally integrated into their lives. Their is a certain smugness. In actuality, I would not say I'm a "red piller"....I would say I'm a man who watches out for himself. I do not fault women for doing the same.

As well, although TRP advocates some common sense stuff, their is a creep of "I hate bitches, all women are bitches" on the sub that hurts it. I believe most of these sentiments come from men who simply who rather deflect their dating woes of some sort of "system" or "feminism" then just admit their fat, or their social skills are left of severe autism or that just they suck at life. It's easier to blame then do something. and look inward

Nobody listens to anything you say unless they want to anyway! ...seriously, it is not easy to change people's minds about anything never mind giving them the hard truth about women and relationships, but when your beta pussy best friend from childhood just gets his heart passed to him in a garbage bag and you saw it coming, it is your duty as a man and a friend to say something. No need to become an activist and try to convince the world, but your buddy is your buddy, not the world, you need to take responsibility for this precious information that you are embodying and if giving it to a beta bitch when he is down is what is called for, then it needs to be done. No one wants to drown a sack of puppies in the river but the red pill man will do just that if it is called for, and risking losing your friends is the risk you take when you are a man.

I view the current blitz of posts talking about attempting to convert others to be representative of a larger issue that's lurking in the RP community actually. With the sudden massive exposure that RP is getting (which, I am guilty of, being one of these newcomers), there's a certain feeling of glory and pride in feeling like you've become "one of the enlightened."

And while that's valid and true to a certain extent, having taken the pill to reality and all. It gives way to egotism and arrogance and an almost messiah-like complex in which people feel compelled to become missionaries of the cause. Perhaps its because we're men and the logical part of our brain sees plugged men as problems that need to be fixed, but for us newbies, it's vital that we realize that the RP is not one-size-fits-all. All men are able to swallow the RP, because it is the truth, but they cannot all swallow it at any time any place (AKA when you feel like "sharing" your new-found lessons of masculinity with them). Some men can swallow the pill when they are slightly sick. Some can only swallow it when they are on the verge of death and desperation. Some will come to swallow it naturally. But each will have his own unique and custom path.

It's surprisingly how fast we can forget our very own paths towards realization. And how we cannot even remember or relate to the amount of resistance we ourselves would have had to the RP back in our own BP days. Each of us required a certain push or witnessed a certain act that caused our brains to "click" for us to finally brave it here; and without it, we would have still been living in the blue.

You can't just teach any man how to fish, you can only teach those willing to learn, whether because of natural inclination or starvation.

My buddy who lives above me in an apartment building and me talk about redpill stuff. im 100% honest and he actually considers it.

Infact, I just spoke to him now about being exclusive with his girlfriend. He was in a 3 month old relationship and was 1 month into being exclusive and didnt really like the girl. Took me about 2 solid years now but my friends finally understand, for the most part.

Though I didn't discover this sub until very recently, what I had been "preaching" was fairly in line with this.

It takes a while, but you will get through to 2-3 out of every 5 close friends if you work long enough. Trial and error on their part definitely played a factor though.

A friend of mine is going through a divorce because his wife cheated on him. I talked about RP tonight and he was receptive; he's going to read The Rational Male. I told him I'd be very happy if he told me he thought it was bullshit, because then I'd have someone I know telling me otherwise. But I'm starting to see proofs from the truths, so, I'm not sure even he could make me unsee if he didn't believe.

Others here have said it already, but you just need to know how to softly word redpill advice using blue/purple bill terminology. The audience receiving the advice needs to be taken into account. Use proper judgment about what the listener is going to be ready to hear.

Overall, I disagree with OP. We should be trying to spread RP knowledge as much as possible. We just have to know how to do it tactfully. Using absolute statements such as "No one is going to listen" is just pessimistic and defeatist.

i have been remarkably successful in illustrating points to people. i think the problem with a lot of newbies is they try to get people to accept an entirely new belief system (or BS, courtesy of robert anton wilson). you can illustrate rp truths in a given situation pretty easily if you are clear on the concepts and good at explanation.

what you can't do is fix people. but that goes for everybody without regard to the BS.

I think dropping the odd nugget of truth is worthwhile, if done right. Nobody's going to come to you if they don't think you have answers. And people will only think you have answers if you make accurate predictions / say something that hints at what they feel to be true but dare not express / say the odd intriguing tibbit and offer a fresh perspective on it.

Its especially hard for me, given that I would never have seeked this out irl, but I believe I would definitely have been open to people talking about it. (of course, I would debate with them so we can change each others minds, but thats normal)

And its weird seeing advice about how people only take the red pill after suffering or something bad happened to them to "wake them up"... I took it by stumbling on some page on the internet. (probably dalrock or roissy/heartiste, or other pua site)

People in general are definitely less rational than myself.
