Look, it happens. They believed in a lie. We all did. Gambled their futures on their husband or men in general as their source of unhappiness. They get divorce on a personal level or they incorporate feminism on the social level.

They are trying to really convince themselves they are okay because it's almost very clear they messed up. But they can never tell in the moment. It's always once the consequences set in.

A former friend of my wife's going through it now. Divorced the husband at 35 and is back to partying with her girlfriends. Wanted a ton of kids and she won't ever get that.

Be sad for them. They are broke, incompatible with most men and can't save themselves.

When women don't get outside validation, they rationalize their lifetime of validation as if it's still in effect. You know that woman in her 30's isn't getting proposals right now, that was when she was a hot 20 something.

I've had women tell me "If I was your age, we'd be fucking in the car right now". Friends' moms. Older ladies at the bar. Etc.

In their mind, they're still hot enough to get me, just the age in the way.

I've seen quite a few talk about how clingy a certain guy is, how desperate some ex is to have them back, brag about the gifts/dates/flowers/trips/etc a guy got them.

As far as actions go, all you have to do is look at the way they dress. Ever see post-wall women wearing trashy stuff? Dancing provocatively all by themselves? They fish for compliments, they get some attention, they can delude themselves into thinking they must still be sexy if they can dress and act that way and get away with it.

On a couple of occassions I've heard women in their 30s brag about how many proposals they've turned down.

Reminds me of the "The Husband Store" joke.

The problem that such women have is that they turn down proposals from 8s thinking they can get a 9 or a 10 (because that's what they "deserve"), and then once they're Past Peak and only 6s and 7s show interest, they're Bitter.As.Fuck about it.
