Handle it any way you want, there's no single best answer, it's all dependent on context.

"Haters are just jealous fans" is a nice way to brush it off.

"No one hates a failure" is a simple way to DHV and show you don't give a fuck about their hate, in fact, it validates your accomplishments.

Of course, no matter what, answer like it's a fucking joke, because it is. Use the same tone and attitude you'd give a 3 year old that said "my friends think you're a poopie head".

You fake it until you make it. You act cocky funny, you make her laugh and relax, and you make her believe meeting up with a girl and having sex is no big deal. Then, when you're done, you continue to act like it's no big deal and you make her feel as comfortable as possible.

What if she brings it up again? A&A ("Oh yeah everyone hates me") or "nah, they secretly love me")

Yes, being on Americas Most Wanted last week has made a lot of people hate me. It's been really weird at church this week.
I don't blame people for hating me, with all of the puppies I kick, old people I trip, and handicap parking spaces I take.
