What bugs me are all the absolute claims mentioned on here… “women do this” or “men do that”. There’s some truth to all the pills IMHO. Are looks important? To some yes, it’s very important, to others it’s mildly important, and to others still - barely or not at all. Personality matters to everyone too, to varying degrees and depending how much you’re willing to tolerate differences or undesirable personality flaws in that person (from your POV). There are also certain common trends that can apply to a lot (or most) of people, yet you will find exceptions too. Culture and locality can (and will) also play role in dating dynamics.

The 4'11 indian guy is incels demonstrating their poor understanding of non-linear relationships.

They try to say "You see, he can't get any, therefore personality means nothing and it's all looks!".

Of course, looks matters, a lot.

But less than incels think.

Being 4'11 indian ugly is of course non-passable.

But 5'9 white 5/10 is passable, and along with good personality, decent income and the girl sensing opportunity for long-term prospects, they can get a decent girl.

If, however, that 5'9 5/10 guy wants hookups with hot girls via Tinder - then yeah, that's.. not gonna work too well.

It's a legitimate want, but most people won't have that, like most people won't be rich.
