You can't negotiate attraction, and in a similar fashion, you can't create a will to commit out of thin air. If you're looking for a committed relationship it's something you should make sure that's also what the men you're dating are looking for.

This question is similar to a guy asking how to get out of the friend zone: it's a dumb idea. He has already established in his mind the fact that he's unwilling to commit to you, similar to how women have established in theirs that they're not willing to start a relationship with a "friendzoned" guy. A lot of what is necessary for either to happen is not in your hands hence a waste of time.

As for the question, sex validates Chad as a sexual being and polygamy gives him the most out of it, so only sex won't do the cut.
There are other ways to validate his masculinity though. I'd try showing helplessness. In practice:
Find some easy and traditionally masculine thing to "need" help with, preferably in his field. Replacing some car fuze, fixing some leak, fixing something on the computer... Compliment him on it and state my need of him, mention that turns me on too, start sex.
