Don't ask them ANYTHING, especially not if they are single or anything like that. She knows the following:

"I am single" means "I am telling the guy I'm available to be fucked"
Most guys are losers.
She really doesn't want any form of social conflict
She must always present the best possible social front of being super high value.

Adding the above together and you'll see that she has to say "not looking!". Which is why you just don't fucking ask.

I thought of a hundred differing things to say to her after that. I was so thrilled to have talked to her I didn’t try to close.

Commenting this again as a main comment so more people will hopefully see this and maybe find something for themself. Read the real comment which is a reply to someone else. I can't link it because AutoMod deletes my message otherwise.

I have a routine that probably has around 90% success ratio and only did not work when it was a close female friend - kind of awkward situation tbh, and I had no balls. 2nd time the girl was already engaged and honestly really annoying to be around.

Other than that is has worked on every single female I had over.

What do I do?

Depending how the connection between me and the girl already is I either meet up with them in public first if they don't agree to hanging out in private. I already apply game there which usually leads to making out. Make sure to walk around to get her to an isolated place. Some girls don't like to make things public if you know what I mean. This has been the majority in my case.
Usually the girls from 1. will now agree to meet in private after you established your position. Sometimes you can even skip 1. and invite directly to your home if you feel you have great chemistry going on.

2.1 I invite her over with the excuse of making food together and chilling afterwards.

You don't need to be exceptionally good at this. Just master one thing and do it over and over again (But not on the same girl twice). I personally think it's funny that most girls have no fucking clue whatsoever how to even do the simplest things. I end up making the whole dinner by myself, but admittedly I spend 2 hours every day preparing my food so I am somewhat experienced.

3.0 Make food, show off your "insane" cooking skills and tease her while making dinner. Tell her what to do if she stays there clueless. Involve her into the act. Juggle between her and the food. Make it a challenge for her. Only one time I lost track of my thing, because well.. she was just too good at taking my attention.

4.0 After you are finished eating, you can go on to the real dinner. At this point I already won. I suggest watching a movie in my room. The TV is on the opposite of my bed. I guess I don't need to explain further.

And this is how I do it. It's almost absolutely the most foolproof attempt since this is comming from someone who is introverted, shy, played video games for the majority of my life and had no fucking success with girls for the longest time.

Getting over the nerves of the initial approach was the biggest part of getting better at daygaming for me personally.

You probably got a small adrenaline rush. This will subside over time. It's like jumping off of a 30 foot cliff into the ocean.
