Lately, I've been noticing women on TV acting more "masculine", and men acting more "feminine".
I'm not talking about the average sitcom that makes the husband look like a dumb oaf, while portraying the woman as the true brains of the household. I mean instances that go deeper than that, where the man is almost a full on "damsel in distress", or very timid, very shy, etc.
Off the top of my head:
Up - Carl (the old man) was passive, introverted, and shy, while Ellie (his deceased wife) was a rambunctious tomboy.
Adventure Time - I've only watched this show on a few occasions, but I've seen more than enough examples of the male protagonist being saved, coddled, and still romanced by various princess characters. In one scene, he even blushes with admiration after one of the female characters saves his life.
Post similar examples, if you can think of any. There are quite a few others that I can't remember at the moment.
