A big warning here:

If you follow this advice you'll never meet interesting women. There are plenty of them out there, but you have to do actual work to find them. You have to be social and you can't be afraid of women with large groups of friends. They're high value so if you're an uninteresting piece of shit you'll probably never attract their interest long enough to find out that they actually do stuff. They also have large groups of friends, so if you listen to the guys who post shit like, "women with lots of male friends aren't worth the effort" you'll never find them. It's like OP expects women like this to be falling over each other to meet him. They're going to have lots of options and unless you're something special, you're going to be a blip on their radar.

One of the stupidest things I see are betas who post negative things about women with male friends, women with large social circles, and women with tons of Facebook friends. Sometimes these women are attention whores but usually there's a good fucking reason so many people like them.

Long story short, you're responsible for surrounding yourself with high value people. To do that you have to be the kind of man that's worth being around. If you're not meeting interesting people, it's your own fault, fix it. TRP is about self improvement, not blaming women for your problems.

Anecdotally I've not experienced what you're talking about, in fact more women than that I know have at least one hobby if not more.

But I suspect neither of us are correct.

I think the majority of perception is due to self-selection bias. For myself I tend to meet women (and men) through my hobbies, therefore obviously a majority of women I know do have intersting hobbies. Whereas I'd suspect, someone mostly meeting women in bars would find the opposite, since those women are spending their time there and not otherwise out doing something more interesting.

E.g. If you only tried to pick up women at a fast food place you might think that 99% of women were fat, but it's your choice of venue that's probably skewing the data.

Intelligence is power. In my experience, most women will venture into the realm of intelligence and sophisticated subjects only slightly, as if to test the waters by simply getting their feet wet. They just want a confirmation or a rough estimation of how intelligent you are. That's if they are already attracted to you in the first place. It really doesn't take much to impress women who are already attracted to you anyway. And once they confirm that you are indeed as great a guy as they first thought you were, they'll back away from this topic/subject and would want you to (the two of you together) dive head first into sex. I actually discovered this prior to TRP, but after a lot of reading I could also understand it. The reason I barely have two female friends in my life is because their conversational value is incredibly low. Every time I tried to discuss some interesting idea or concept with women they could only compare it to their own experiences or feelings. This is because women are solipsistic and communicate with feelings instead of the actual meaning of words. Agree. Having a female "friend" is like having a car that looks amazing but cannot actually take you anywhere + it costs a lot of money to insure and protect. There is no base purpose. Conversation with most women is like a chore.

Strangely I find conversation with women who are interested in you to be somewhat fullfilling and easy. Its like a switch.

Most young men think women are like themselves, they try and explain their interests, they try and get them to see what the 'right' thing is in situations. Some people are more interested in a meaningful relationship with women rather than just sex. Don't get me wrong if all you want to do is fuck then more power to you (providing its consensual and she knows your intentions).

Long lasting relationships don't really work based off sexual attraction alone, the ability to cohabitate and share parts of your life together requires a certain mesh of personalities, sometimes that's traits that complement each other, but you also need to share some things in common.

If you're a guy who basically cannot respect other people if they're vapid and uninteresting you're never going to make a relationship work with a lot of modern women, they're generally don't have personality traits that men inherently tend to respect. Some do, it's rare and it's a real 1 in a million

I don't think it's something men ought to get angry about for sure, or frustrated with, you just need to accept it and move on, part of why I'm a MGTOW. I think this theme misses the real reason for expectations from a girl - long term relationships.

Women, moreso than men, take their moral social cues from their immediate social group. Put a woman with a group of super slutty women for a year, 4/5 times she'll turn into a super slutty girl. Put a woman with a group of genuinely chaste women for a year, 4/5 times she'll reduce or eliminate her sluttiness.

Guys are influenced by their immediate social group to, but not nearly as much, and not nearly as quickly as girls are.

Guys believing that their LTR girl must be of a certain character reinforces her desire to act like that. In a LTR, her emotions know that her breaking this image he has of her will result in strong negative feelings for his perception of her, so she's influenced to not feel like breaking that image. Her sense of morality is influenced by his - if girls "don't cheat", she feels like cheating is a less attractive option. If she gets the attention and validation she craves from a guy who believes that women must be loyal, then she's more likely to stay loyal.

The problem is - a "keep her around after you're going out" strategy is not a "be more attractive" strategy.

I am with you to a certain degree.

I recently upgraded to go for higher quality, better looking women. "Models, dancers, actresses" etc. The difference is staggering.

A higher quality woman, is in fact largely better to talk to, beyond her tits and ass. Her life is interesting, because she gets what she wants, and is far more positive then an insecure 7 or 8.

My point is, the higher quality the bitch, beyond tits and ass, the better they are. They are friendlier, far more interested in the shit YOU have to say, and have actually slightly more interesting things going on in their lives.

Good post OP. In your post also lies the answer to one paradox. You have to seem uninterested to interest girls, but no girl will approach a guy first. That is why you have to be SEXUALLY interested in a woman but uninterested in her other aspects to begin. A few thoughts:

If you are going to interact with women based on a shared interest, pursue that interest first. If any woman is going to connect based on that, they'll get you there.
This is where I think one of the most valid critiques of the Red Pill, PUA and the like come into play. Just because you spent all your time putting the pussy on a pedestal doesn't mean you should trash it. Remember that the opposite of love isn't hate, but indifference. Caring that much that you hate women isn't indifference, dog.
Learn to actually talk to women, and listen to their responses. You would be amazed to learn what is and isn't real in their responses, but you have to phrase the questions right. Go back to your pick-up fundamentals, learn the basics of conversation and move from there. That's why they exist in the first place: to help you separate the wheat from the chaff efficiently with a minimum of muss and fuss.

We live in a society which rewards men for cultivating skills and positive traits in themselves but rewards women primarily for beauty. This sort of a culture certainly leads to more men of character and skill than the culture which encourages women to be vain and obsessed with make-up, fashion, and celebrity.

As I said on another reply here, the only time I'm in a bar or nightclub is if a client is paying for me to pull security for them. That's a no-bullshit affair for me ("I will walk my post in a military manner speaking to no one except in the line of duty!") Chicks hit on me and I smile, deflect and usually introduce them to my primary.

So where do I meet girls? First off, I always take at least one class per semester. I'm not working on a degree and none of these classes will make me earn anymore money. Taking a philosophy class from a well regarded professor, or a cooking class, or a 101 level Russian class, all puts me in contact with the hot young pussy I love. I also teach all sorts of fun outdoor stuff and meet girls there.

I think that men and women celebrate their hobbies differently. I'll gladly call a buddy and do a Moab weekend and not take any pictures or post on social media. In fact, I make sure people know not to use my name on those social media sites. I go for my own edification. I'll wear what gear works best and usually open carry or chest harness carry a handgun. I'm there to climb, the actual event, not to do "something" and talk about it. This is why I think women love photography so much. Its the emotion of doing rather than the actual doing. They'll frequently do just enough to qualify as having been there, take a dozen pictures and get their edification from "likes" and social .media or hamstering with their friends. So if a girl says she's into something, understand that maybe what she's really into is the notion of that thing. For her, that's enough. She can go bouldering once and tel people how she's a rock climber.

Don't have high expectations of most people, male or female. Women treat hobbies differently than men do. Encourage her to be your partner on these things and see if she's really into it or not.
