What is holding you in America?

I own property. Real property. I'm a landlord with five buildings. I can't sell up because right now the real estate market is still in recovery. I figure 1 - 2 more years before I can sell out at a decent profit.

I'm married and unwilling to leave my wife. She's had my back through the narrow passage and has kin in the area. She won't leave, and I won't leave her.

I live in Europe and don't understand everything what is going on in America.

Yes, we're immersed in it.

So what is keeping you in America, why don't you just leave?

Family, jobs, property, lack of language skills.

What are the good sides and is it worth to visit America?

The good sides:

We have the two biggest oceans in world on two sides of us, and weak and peaceful neighbors on the other two, who are in turn surrounded by thousands of miles of inhospitable terrain. Long term America is comparatively well situated. Contrast that to sharing a land border with Germany or Russia, or living somewhere where radical immigrants can walk/drive/boat themselves to you. Our illegal immigrants are poor and uneducated but at least they're industrious and Christian and peaceful and assimilate well.

Other than that it boils down to a sense of not being as bad as everyone else - "at least we're not fucking Albania". Yet. Doesn't look like it's time to run away - yet.

Visit: yes. See the national parks, see the deserts, see the redwoods, the canyons, the forests, the mountains.

I'm allowed to walk around with my gun. My family is here. There are way too many reasons that are amazing to stay in the states. I could write forever. opportunity here is unlimited. you can get anything if you know the right people
Cost of living is low where I live compared to New York, and most of the west coast. Which means I can save money and accumulate wealth. I am from the former part of the Soviet union. The states are just better.

The standard of living is great where I live. And I am upper middle class. There are a lot of bitter people on here that think the grass is always greener no matter where they go.

I'm from The Netherlands and I'd love to go to America and fuck bitches. The lifestyle attracts me.

My best friend actually said they were a lot easier then Dutch girls. A lot more upfront.

I think it helps that my friend was obviously a foreigner and he was in Los Angeles/California.

IMO a lot of Western European girls are exactly the same as American girls but maybe a little bit less straight forward/feminist.
