The way I have always looked at it is such:

Women have traditionally been the gate-keepers to sex. This is an evolutionary argument - sex for women (prior to birth control) has always been an expensive proposition. Having children is 'expensive', so women choose their partners carefully so that if they do get pregnant it is from a 'high quality' genetic source. Consequently, if a man has a high partner count, he must be a high quality man - otherwise how was he able to secure so many matings.

Men, however, have traditionally been the gatekeepers to commitment. Again an evolutionary argument: men should want to have sex with as many different women as possible, as sex for them is cheap. Consequently, committing to one women means absorbing a fairly high opportunity cost (you aren't impregnating other women). Thus, she better be a fairly high quality woman.

Women can't stand betas because essentially they are willing to give their commitment away to any woman. Men would only do so if they were of such low quality, that they were desperate for that commitment (commitment = opportunities for sex).

Alternatively, a women who sleeps around a lot is essentially a beta schulb among woman. She gives away that thing that is most valuable to her in the relationship too easily. Therefore, she must not be a very high quality woman. 'Evolutionarily', a woman would only be an easy lay if she was of sufficiently low quality that she had a hard time getting men.

Of course, with the pill, we've removed the evolutionary selection pressures that made the above argument valid. Women can sleep with tons of men because she doesn't have to worry quite so much about getting pregnant. Thus, she doesn't have to care if the man is of high quality or not.

Alternatively, one could make the argument (slightly less evo-psych) that a woman has the power in the relationship until she gives up the sex. Once she has given up the sex, then the man has the power in the relationship until he gives commitment. Then the woman has the power again. Of course, we haven't removed the

Regardless, the result is the same: women who sleep around give up their most valuable asset in the sexual marketplace too easily. Doing so decreases their (and actually all women's) value.

Women will only sleep with a man if she likes him. If she chooses a lot of people with shitty personalities, then she likes shitty personalities. She has every opportunity to choose a partner and has every choice she makes is an excercise of her judgment.

Rephrasing this, suppose someone constantly changes their jobs or hobbies. That person would be called a flake and non-committal and cannot decide what he wants or what is good for him. A woman who constantly changes men is no different.

This is one area in which I don't agree with the established red pill doctrine. The general consensus seems to be that it's fine for men to sleep with as many woman as possible, but if a woman has more than a few sexual partners she's a slut and should be avoided at all costs. That just doesn't make sense to me. Saying "because evolution" doesn't change the fact that guys who sleep around have just as much risk for STDs and pregnancy (in their partners, not themselves obviously) as women do. So why is it bad for women but not for men? There are limits, obviously, but personally I don't see anything wrong with a woman who has had as many sexual partners as I have. More relevant, in my opinion, is whether or not she has consistently used protection during those past sexual encounters.

i think it may be an evolutionary thing. when women have sex, they could potentially have a child with that man. the more sexual partners a woman had, the less likely it it would be that a man would be the father of the baby. however this doesnt explain why people still have the same views now
