I found out that the third part of Esther Vilar's trilogy about the modern man and feminism hasn't been translated to english up to now. Since it is from the 70s I came to the conclusion that nobody will ever unless I do it.

Although I am capable of writing comprehendable sentences in English I know that many of my sentences look feeble and inferior, there are much better ways to frame certain things and my grammar is not the best.

I'd like to submit it here piece by piece and also put it on a blog. Once it will be finished I will put it into a PDF and make it available via sharehosters and torrent.

I couldn't even find a digital version of the German original anywhere on the web, so I just bought it and have even just started with the translation. This means I will translate it while I read it.

So I am looking for native English speakers who would like to participate in this project. Endorsed contributors would be strongly preferred, although this is not mandatory. But you should have a good history and reputation at TRP or related subs like MGTOW and such.

I am not sure whether it would be a good idea to start a new sub for this task. Let me know what you think about it.

Below you'll find the first topic I translated, so you can see and judge about what you will be dealing with.

Also fellow German redpillers are welcome to help with this. I would just scan pages and make them available for translation.

What is masculine

masculine = punished

The man - that's what "The Manipulated Man" was about - is born to be imprisoned. He doesn't concieve this as cruel though: Because he is prepared for this lifestyle right from the start, he doesn't expect anything else. Because practically all men have been imprisoned he even sees something postitive in it - it means he is perfectly normal - and, with some pride, calls this way of being masculine. He is generally speaking in his own jargon: He calls his keepers superiors, the correction performance of duties, the administration management and a commendation for good conduct professional acknowledgement. After such commendation he immediately feels better: He then says that he enjoys his work.

Like everything in the second half of the twentieth century the way of the punishment has been humanized. But the sentence stayed the same: For a man the sentence will always be "for life". As distinguished from the "real" corrections the criterion here isn't the deliquent's danger for society - so for those who aren't jailed - but his usefulness: Type and duration therefore do not derive from the felony but from the performance ability. And because a man's performance increases when he's rested, he is being sent home in between times and by this allows him to participate in the life of those for whom he serves the sentence, in certain intervalls. As for the rest he is only exempt from corrections if he is unprofitable anyways: like with physical insufficiency or psychological shock. A healthy man who whishes to be temporarily exempted from his punishment - his crime is being a man - therefore has to either fake a medical condition or the death of a loved one. But if he does this too often or if he is being caught, he will be degraded and has to fullfill the poorest tasks offered by the department. Also his visits to the ones outside will become more and more uncomfortable then.

As soon as it is determined that short breaks are not sufficient any more to keep his performance at a decent level - and this will be the case after about one year - he is set free for multiple days. He is recommended to spend this period in an unfamiliar milieu, because this way he will recover much better and will be able to endure the old impressions bravely again because of the new impressions. When the gates close behind him again after that he often even is reliefed. How beautiful to be inside again, he says to the others - holidays forever, no, that's not for me.

But even this joy isn't granted to him. Because if after half a century of living in the jailhouse his performance is becoming more and more unprofitable and the mandatory breaks aren't sufficent with all the will in the world, these last holidays are forced on him like a punishment. He is released to a home without a place for him, to a family to which he remained a stranger and in a freedom for which he feels much to tired. Luckily these holidays don't really last a forever, because statistically a man's life expectance in the western industrial countries is about 69 years and he will only have four more years to live after his retirement.
