Ever since I took the Red Pill, music I used to like sounds really petty and kinda pathetic..Anyone else notice this?

Hey, super short post.

I am probably overthinking this but whatever. I noticed the songs I used to like which I thought were nice beats and such are really pathetic. I listened to radio today and never realized how many songs are really about some girl a guy misses or how he turned into a bitch after she left him. And a lot of popular songs by girl artits which talk about the cute, handsome guy that broke their hearts or why he doesn't love them.

The only type of music I didnt notice this in was some rock and a lot of rap.

Anyone else notice this?

EDIT: Someone recommend this, I like it!

A lot of popular music reinforces BP style thinking. I'm in no way a fan but every time I hear a country song about love, it's always how some girl left some guy and he's sad. Most "pop" music today caters to young girls and young women, so of course the BP hamstering comes out in full force. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry etc all pump out "yah girl power!" "Be a rockstar!" party music for women.

It's kind of counter productive if you think about it, because nobody can live the party lifestyle for an extended period and come out of it undamaged in some way.

Except that taylor swift. Taylor is RP as fuck, getting aloha widowed 9 times a day.

NO fuckers...It's all about pointing those headlights in her bedroom window and throwing beer cans at her house while she is with another dude. lmfao. Classic.

I prefer dipset's approach to the situation:

"Turn your hood to Afghan then drive a car through your house"

Hey man there is some RP as fuck Country music out there. look up "I'm gonna miss her" by Brad Paisley. So much of it is just relegating women to eye candy and not depending on them at all. But then ever artists needs the sappy shit to sell to the girls...

[–]cdtCPTret0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

"Understand your man" and "I'm not the one you want babe" by Johnny cash (and Bob Dylan). Unfortunately most of Johnny is bp besides that, but at least he's creative

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

"I'm gonna miss her"

Great fucking song.

If anything, these artists know where there money is. (Most) Men will listen to what she likes, and she likes Sam Hunt's ass. Sam Hunt & his songwriters know this and profit.

You needa get into more rap. If you want I can give some recommendations. There's still some pussy rappers there but some songs you'll listen to and swear the guy cofounded trp.

Edit: I got a couple pm's requesting recommendations. Just of the top of my head:

Ty Dolla Sign- this guy is pure trp. Listen to "4 a Young", "she like it when I", or pretty much any song from him. He also wrote "loyal" for Chris brown.

Drake- Believe it or not, this guy is the living embodiment of 48 laws. Makes romantic slow songs for bitches but then says shit like " she might say she loves me she don't love me like she says she loves me". Also notice, even though people claim he's a softy who gets his heartbroken, he's never actually wifed up a hoe he just fucks bitches and tosses em. Never got shat on like Big Sean, fucked Chris Browns girl twice (Karruche and Rihanna). Had beef with Tyga and responded by liking all his baby mamas pics on Instagram.

J Cole- No Role Modelz

Got a few more these are just the big ones.

[–]TheRedPillJourney 6 points6 points [recovered] | Copy

That "No Role Modelz" song is gooooood bro!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

"Hotline Bling" by Drake and 'No Role Modelz" by J. Cole got me over oneitis recently pretty quickly.

[–]situ1391 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Don't forget Drake bodied Meek Mills.

Too add to the list, albeit most of these cats are older.

Big Daddy Kane - changed the rap game with his rhyme style.

Biggie - This dude was pretty fucking alpha, he was a sex icon despite being fat and ugly as fuck. Listen to One More Chance

2pac - I never really got into this dude but he was also relatively alpha but more in a poetic do my own thing way.

Eric B & Rakim - These dudes were majorly influential in hip hop, often recited as the absolute best to ever do it.

Big L - Alpha as fuck, did his own thing. Jay Z and Big L were friends and Jay wanted him to sign to his Rocafella label and Big L didn't want to because Jay would't sign all of his friends, Big L created his own label Flamboyant Records. Unfortunately he got shot shortly after starting his label. He's got some funny shit like Shoulda Used a Rubber

Nas - This dude released the album Illmatic which is arguably the BEST rap album of ALL TIME. It's a relatively short album but it's absolutely mind blowing, the image he creates with his song you feel like you are in Queensbridge during the 80's/90's. New York State of Mind

And to the dude that said "rap might be redpill but that's no excuse to listen to shitty music" fuck you.

[–]dabrah15 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy

"Ill mind of Hopsin 5" is super red pill. He completely shits on lazy guys, party girls, and wannabe gangsters

[–]prodigy2throw6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah I liked his stuff but then I read about how he's kind of a loser himself in real life so it kind of turned me off to him. I tend to look at the person behind the music among other things.

Good track though

[–]dabrah13 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

yea he has some tracks that are straight blue pill garbage. I'm recommending the song, not the artist in this case

[–]benediction_in_mind4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Haha no. Hopsin is a crybaby rapper who talks like he's 16 but is actually 30.

[–]Mildly_Sociopathic0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

I'm guessing you've heard about his interview regarding Meek Mills and him discussing the Laws.

[–]prodigy2throw-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

I actually have not. But yeah just goes to show the man is more red pill than people think.

[–]writewhereileftoff-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Drake- Believe it or not, this guy is the living embodiment of 48 laws. Makes romantic slow songs for bitches but then says shit like " she might say she loves me she don't love me like she says she loves me".

He doesn't write his own shit. People have been calling him out on this for years though.

Also notice, even though people claim he's a softy who gets his heartbroken, he's never actually wifed up a hoe he just fucks bitches and tosses em. Never got shat on like Big Sean, fucked Chris Browns girl twice (Karruche and Rihanna).

Girls literally punk this dude on the regular, it's a well known fact. This is just one high profile example.

Had beef with Tyga and responded by liking all his baby mamas pics on Instagram.

Beta as fuck high school behavior.

Drake is considered alpha or RP only by college aged kids in their freshman year, because society is so BP now he appears alpha by comparison.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Walked out on a Drake concert. Worse shit I have ever heard. Granted, I am in my 30s but a bunch of dudes on stage yelling over each other on mics isn't talent in my eyes.

[–]prodigy2throw-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Alright well I'm not gonna turn this into r/hiphopheads. Believe what you like. I still say he's one of the most red pill guys out there by far.

[–]gamefuck-4 points-3 points  (6 children) | Copy

The thing is all rappers are black and i don't relate. Sure getting fucked up in the club and getting some hoe to sek ur dek is RP, but its not the style of RP i employ.

[–]d3310n5 points6 points  (4 children) | Copy

You don't have to be black to relate. And not all rap is about that. Open your mind a bit.

[–]gamefuck1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

I've listened to a lot of rap and 99% of the rappers I listen to are black (coz eminem is the only white guy) but yea it's mostly when I'm going through an angry/aggression phase none of these songs have any deeper meaning and the rhymes and rhythms are extremely elementary. Only person I've heard rap with an ounce of effort was immortal technique.

I'm not living the life of "pimping hoes" or "getting stacks" what the fuck does "we made it" even mean? Listening to rap is turning into a stereotype for red pillers anyway, none of our lives are like these guys why do we try to emulate them, but I suppose it's the best we got.

[–]ElMayordomo0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

First off, there are plenty of white rappers. Mac Miller, Action Bronson, Riff Raff, Logic (1/4 black but looks white), Aesop Rock, just to name a few. Rap music is black music, but that doesn't mean white people can't make it and can't be successful in it. If you can't listen to a black person make music, then you might have some deeper issues with racism than you think.

Second, you can easily find rappers with a lot of lyrical substance. Arguably the most popular straight up rapper (excluding Drake, who does a lot of singing) in the world right now is Kendrick Lamar, whose latest two albums both tell incredibly intricate stories with a unique worldview and philosophical thoughts. Seriously, listen to Good Kid, Maad City first, which is basically his life story about growing up in the gang life of Compton while going through universal teenage struggles like sexual frustration and the dangers of partying, and how he overcame those things through self-determination. Then listen to To Pimp a Butterfly, which is a lot less accessible, but has a lot of deeper philosophical lyrics regarding US politics, racial relations in the world, income inequality, family values, etc.

Even going further than that, there are some good alternative hip hop artists out there that make really bizarre shit. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Kool Keith, who writes albums under different personas every time such as an alien gynecologist from Mars (Dr. Octagonecolygist). Kool Keith inspired me to write a hip hop album about a dystopian world.

You have to actually try to open your mind instead of just shrugging off a good portion of a genre as shit because you're too lazy to study it and try to understand it.

[–]gamefuck1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

"you're too lazy to study it and try to understand it." you could say this about literally anything though. Like I said I listen to rap, sometimes, when I'm in those sorts of moods. When I'm actually in a good place though, rap does nothing for me.

[–]ElMayordomo-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

I said that because you're generalizing an entire genre of music based on a few rappers you don't like when there are mountains of evidence against your claims that "Immortal Technique is the only rapper with an ounce of effort."

[–]TRPTheRedLion8 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy

Music is cyclical. It always is. It alternates between Beta pussy and when someone grabs their balls.

In the 70's, disco ruled. Then punk came in and destroyed it. You had Urban Cowboy country and Outlaw Country came in. In the 80's you had hair bands then grunge came in and kicked it's ass to the curb.

Rap came in and filled a void that the usual kind of red pill sources (country and rock) could not do. They were too busy trying to figure out if they wanted to be manly or weepy for women.

I haven't really thought about it much because I knew at 15 listening to "Faithfully" by Journey was as pussy as it gets. I just stuck in my Metallica and Nirvana. Cassette tapes. Showing my age.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy

Yep. I used to like coldplay in my High School days but now I understand the phrase "you know how I know you're gay? Because you listen to coldplay."

Its really cheesy, and having been at one of their concerts, the amount of girls who listen to it definitely outweigh the guys. I remember being able to "relate" to all the song lyrics in my BP days.

My favorite band now is Phish, and I don't listen for the lyrics. The music and the show atmospheres really appeal to me. Some of their stuff ranges from just pure, raging "porno-funk", to peaking rock and roll, all the way to spacey/trippy bliss.

[–]Pube_Stretcher2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Fuck that noise. Coldplay's got some good songs

There is no musician more Red Pill than Frank Zappa. He was too busy fucking sorority girls on the road, getting his wife to stay home and help manage his business and raise his kids, going on TV absolutely destroying everything about American culture and the government, and being the greatest composer of all time to be writing any blue pill horse shit.

[–]phillpjay0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

He also wrote some hilarious lyrics.

[–]speed3_freak3 points4 points  (6 children) | Copy

Lucero is my favorite band and they're extremely BP. Who the fuck cares. I don't take life lessons from lyrics of songs I like anymore than I take direction from movies. The basis of red pill teachings is to have a backbone and confidence not to give a fuck what other people think. Good music is completely subjective. If you like Nickelback or Taylor Swift, own that shit.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

Lucero is awesome. Great live band and they put on a hell of a show.

[–]speed3_freak-1 points0 points  (3 children) | Copy

They absolutely do

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy

Watched Premier Guitar's Rig Rundown on Lucero. Turns out I have the same amp Ben has. Already had the guitar which is an easy ID, but there was some confusion about exactly which amp he uses. The last time I saw them I thought he had a Blues Junior. Turns out I was right.

Cool music to play along to. Cool band.

[–]speed3_freak-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

I wish I had any musical talent, but I don't. I couldn't even play the recorder in third grade. I would have to put a ton of effort in just to be shitty, and it's not worth the time.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, you have to either start at a young age, 13 for me, or really want to learn pretty badly. If you did want to learn guitar it is so easy now compared to when I started. Youtube makes it pretty easy. Yousician is another cool tool. Guitar Hero and Rock Band can give a guy a good start.

[–]dear_glob_why-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Agreed (not about Lucero) but about having the backbone to own whatever it is that makes you, you. There's a reason there are emo bands with guys that look completely androgynous yet they make hundreds of thousands of women wet just by walking on stage - it's because they own it and kill it with every step.

[–]boscoist2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

You need Metal! Sabaton is a good place to start, its military history metal!!!

[–]SW98761 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

rap might be red pill, but that's no excuse to listen to shitty music. Do yourself a favor an listen to rock, specially anything from the 60's to 90's, if you gone to 00 you went to far.

[–]itsxeno 13 points13 points [recovered] | Copy

rap might be red pill, but that's no excuse to listen to shitty music.

For those with the same mindset, I invite you to listen. If you've read Models, then recall Manson encouraging you to be more cultivated. If Hip-Hop is as shitty as you claim, it wouldn't be as influential as it is.

I grew up listening to Hip-Hop and I'm not a betting man, but within a 100 mile radius I bet nobody else has The Beatles, Drake, Def Leppard, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, etc. simultaneously on my iPhone.

Do you realize how fucking easy it is to relate to people when you share a common ground on music? Especially if you've given other genres an honest listen.

Get out of your comfort zone. Complacent = death.

[–]clint_bronson-3 points-2 points  (2 children) | Copy

Plenty of shitty music is influential.

Fact of the matter is, they steal from other people (sampling my ass) and their lyrics, although red pill in content, are primitive and sound something like i would've written when i was 16.

I mean i keep hearing people praising here that shitty music of trash Mike Brown, or whatever his name is, the guy that beat rhianna, "This hoes ain't loyal" i mean really? How much hours did it took him to come with that one up?

[–]itsxeno 0 points0 points [recovered] | Copy

they, steal, primitive, when i was 16

Your issue is far beyond music.

I mean i keep hearing people praising here that shitty music of trash Mike Brown

Good one bro, hilarious. So adorable how clever you think you are.

I mean i keep hearing people praising here

Doubt people are praising a song that came out in 2013.

Your grammar is impeccable.

[–]clint_bronson-3 points-2 points  (0 children) | Copy

you know who else has impeccable grammar? you guessed it. Yes people do praise that piece of shit song, don't know what year it came out has to do with anything. And yes i can't remember the name of that shitty performer.

Wow, just wrote a comment on phish before seeing yours haha, but I definitely agree. Though Trey has written some pretty cheesy songs (piss break songs like Alaska or BDTNL).

[–]bikemike450 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I've noticed a lot of movied have loads of BP shit in them too.

Last night, I was browsing through and saw Mrs. Doubtfire was on. The woman took the guy's kids and wouldn't let him see them. She dates an alpha all while her beta husband dresses like a fucking woman to see his kids. The kids all improve, do better in school, etc. but the woman is still a bitch and lets the judge order he have restricted visitation with the kids.

Then, Mr. Beta gets his own show on TV. Guess who comes around and lets him see his kids?

[–]Chaohinon0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Music is one of the few bastions where men have some leeway to get a little whiny. It's the last refuge for not having an explosive heart attack before you reach age 50.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Ohhhhhh yeah.

Most songs I used to listen to had the subtext of the guy begging the girl to like him, and the guy asking for permission from the girl. Whiny as f*ck.

And the ones all pro-woman, hear-me-roar, and I-hate-men I can't stand because underneath all the shouting they are still trying to find a masculine man to lead them.

Funny how girls all really enjoy Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry.

[–]bonerpotpie-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

No, I didn't listen to shitty music, before or after TRP.

[–]THECHODERAT-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

hehehe yeah but the album is basically a red pill strategy guide if you just read the lyrics

[–]mr_nate_-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I listen to rap, so no! A lot of RP theory found in my jams — they don't put up with the bullshit that everyone else seems to.

[–]Flowhill-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I think you should be more than capable to enjoy a song even though you don't agree with its content or find the lyrics to portray weakness. Just enjoy songs you like man.

[–]648262-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

In s group of people there is only one at the top. All others are basically equal, except the guy at the bottom. This means most people do not have an amazing love life. Music caters to them, and before people "make it" are just like them.

[–]cdtCPTret-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I always had a problem with millionaire women singing about how hard life is because a boy left or some shit. It was like a rich person dressing up like a hobo and begging for money

[–]fredoinformatics412 0 points0 points [recovered] | Copy

I actually agree with this, I use to listen to alot of pop-punk, but after really looking into the lyrical content. Its really reinforcing to the BP lifestyle. Also the whole scene that derived from emo is pretty pathetic and shallow as it only really make people feel more powerless.

I made the transition to more Hip-Hop where an alpha mindset is reinforced plus some metal. Personally I have been listening to alot of Eminem,Royce da 5'9, Public Enemy and 50 Cent. Music should be empowering, not enervating at all. Plus for heck of it I listen to chief keef's "no love for them thots".

[–]The-Ban-Hammer-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

So, anything from Nine Inch Nails could be considered Blue Pill.

Compare to this cheesy 70s ballad packaged like a love song, but basically it's about having a one night stand. This song is more Red Pill.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Funny cause I started enjoying popular music a fuck ton more. I always enjoyed what people called "mainstream". Hating mainstream stuff is just a huge cult thing people do to sound cool. I remember when Arctic Monkeys were being propped up as good music that isn't mainstream and then they became popular and everyone started crapping on them too.

So yea I have no shame in admitting I enjoy mainstream music and because of the red pill I started enjoying it a lot more if I'm honest because I could listen to it with a smile on my face because I can relate to it, or I can understand the bullshit. All the girly songs for girls I really enjoy. Girls are pretty fucking RP - abundance mentality, upgrading, nexting, they've got it all, and I just apply it to myself. Or songs like "Jar of hearts" I just listen to it in awe and amazement of the female hamster and their rationalizations for why Chad left them and how he's hurting himself anyway, or anything taylor swift I fucking love. That shit is RP as fuck. I guess it's a matter of perspective. I'm a lot happier in life after RP although I have a long long fucking way to go and am ashamed to even say I am RP at this point. Long road ahead.

[–]O_Son-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

[–]tallwheel-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yep. Love songs are all about oneitis. BP as fuck. I also can't really stand all the bitchy girl songs where she is basically flaunting her SMV in front of betas to make sure they know they're not good enough for her. Like other commenters said, the best thing to do is recognize it for what it is, and use it as a lesson and motivation to get better.

But if you get sick of doing that. Listen to some music that fucks all of that in the ass like Steel Panther.

[–]assured_destruction-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I hate love songs, whiny crap.

The best songs are about being insane Magadeath; Sweating bullets Greenday, Bulavard of broken dreams Pink floyd.

[–]TheSilverwolfKnight-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've notice that my taste in music has changed drastically a well. A year ago I listened to trashy pop music about love, now I listen to stuff like Chet Faker, Tool, and Nine Inch Nails. Never been a rap person, personally, though I appreciate and respect when it's fast.

[–]BlackHeart89-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Well, most radio music is full of superficial shit and things that cater to "feelings" rather than truth. It sells.

You really have to dig to find music of substance. J. Cole is one of those rappers who are pretty versatile.

A lot of rock is pretty real as well. But its also pretty emotional when you really listen to it. Which is to be expected when someone is speaking the truth and writing music from the heart.

edit: Another song by J.Cole that sort of goes along with this one is "She Knows".

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Metal is your salvation my brother. Priest, Sabbath, Motorhead, ACDC, Slayer, Sepultura, Pre-1992 Metallica.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I still like my music whether it's BP or RP. I cringe though when it's obviously BP, but I like songs by Trey Songz because it reminds me of being BP then swallowing the pill. "Dead Wrong" Trigga ft. Ty Dolla.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've always hated those whining faggot songs on the commercial stations. Singing about lost love or confessing that he's a bitch who'll do anything to get the girl.

I agree with this post. Since TRP I know can explain why I hate them.

I tend to examine songs a lot more deeply how since TRP, particularly women's songs. They either disgust me or confirm red pill truths.

My tolerance for rap has increased and I love any song about fucking bitches or treating them for how they are.

[–]dtmh88-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

This is why I only listen to heavy metal. Most redpilled genre.

[–]Dsdcimyc-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

I still like the music I liked before. I'm mature enough to be able to split music and thoughts. Arctic Monkeys are still my favorite band even though they have many songs about oneitis. The lyrics are great even if I don't agree with them: poetically, artistically speaking they're great at expressing emotions even though they're BP. (Funnily enough they have a couple of less known songs with RP concepts)

To discard music because it's BP is just stupid. Then let's discard Dante's Divina Commedia and thousands of pieces of art because they're BP.

Plenty of music that exists outside this RP/BP dichotomy. If so, they are merely your interpretations.

not just music.

this is why you should only ever listen to rock, metal, rap, trap, various underground electronic music, and ofc classical music. dont go mainstream.

I dislike most kinds of music, even if the lyrics are RP. Music is about giving the person hearing the emotion of the author, and I, as a well-centered masculine being, don't appreciate receiving external an emotional rollercoaster.

In high school, I used to love and listen to Stabbing Westward. Spotify randomly pulled them up when I made a 90's station. That is the whiniest, neediest crap I've ever heard in my life. I couldn't stand it.

If you just stick with Led Zepplin Robert and Jimmy will never steer you wrong.

Fuck contemporary music. It has not only lost it's soul, it is actively subversive, creating more BP mindset with each "love" ballad.

Music is music, no need to change what you listen to because people on the internet told you to. I mean shit, I'm 28 and still listen to some emo bands, IDGAF.

Listen to better music. We live in an age where pop music isn't even close to the only option. Hop on SoundCloud or get a Spotify subscription and start finding something better. Not everyone has the same tastes, but that's the point. Find the music that gets you and be your own brand of alpha.

Lyrics to "Worth It"

Give it to me I'm worth it Baby I'm worth it Uh huh I'm worth it Gimme gimme I'm worth it Give it to me I'm worth it Baby I'm worth it Uh huh I'm worth it Gimme gimme I'm worth it

[Bridge: Kid Ink] Okay, I tell her bring it back like she left some Bring it, bring it back like she left some Uh in the club with the lights off What you actin shy fo'? Come and show me that you Wid it, wid it, wid it, wid it, wid it Stop playin', how you know that I Wid it, wid it, wid it, wid it, wid it, wid it What you actin' shy for?

[Verse 1: Dinah] Just give me you, just give me you Just gimme me you, that's all I wanna do And if what they say is true, if it's true I might give me to you I may take a lot of stuff Guaranteed I can back it up I think I'mma call you bluff Hurry up, I'm waiting out front

[Pre-Chorus: Normani Kordei] Uh huh, you see me in the spot, like "oooh I love your style" Uh huh, show me what you got, cus I don't wanna waste my time Uh huh, you see me in the spot, like "oooh I love your style" Uh huh, show me what you got now come and make it worth my while

[Verse 2: Camila] It's all on you, it's all on you It's all on you, so what you wanna do? And if you don't have a clue, not a clue I'll tell you what to do Come harder just because I don't like it, like it too soft I like it a little rough, not too much But maybe just enough

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
