SO I did a search and didn't find a whole lot about using community college to increase your social circles. I did find the following thread, but its pretty sparse.

Little background, 49yo guy, already have multiple degrees, so I wouldn't be degree seeking. Mostly working on languages (Russian and Spanish). I work for the military and own a small real estate focused related company. Military women.... ugh.... the n-counts and cc riders would astound even the most jaded TRP'r. The real estate industry is almost all post-wall harpies.

So I'm looking at some meetup groups and considered taking a couple of college language courses and maybe a few practical courses like welding and maybe get into a bit of machining/milling.

I have very little Community College experience, but I expect that there will be some second chance at life seekers (avoid) and a lot of lower income 20-somethings. Not worried about approaching, as most language courses require group practice.

Anyone with recent community college experience want to chime in?

Thanks in advance.
