I was recently in a discussion with a member of the community and a mod that lead me to believe that discussing makeup was unwelcome in this community. This confused me because I always assumed that it was. I writing this post here to get a better understanding of the rules, but also because I am interested in the members opinions of this topic. Should it be allowed (is it allowed), or no? Why or why not?

Here are some of my reasons why I thought it was allowed:

  1. This sub has always encouraged doing things to better our appearances, and recognizes the importance of looking good to men. When finding a man, and respecting a man you have, maintaining SMV is important. This is including acceptable topics such as exercising, wearing hair a certain way, skin care, and wearing certain kinds of clothing. If makeup can make you look better to men, shouldn't it be a tool in the RPW's toolbelt?

  2. Even if the argument were to be made that makeup was unnecessary for appearance purposes, doesn't RPW allow it for falling under the heading of "feminine hobbies"? We allow posts on quilting, needlework, how to make more feminine friends, advice for choosing a sorority, and other miscellaneous topics, that are allowed simply for being "feminine".

Please understand, that I fully recognize that some of you, and your men, choose to not have makeup as part of your relationship, but I also know some of you aren't interested in needlework. What I'm trying to ask is if it's a topic that is appropriate for RPW, for the members who are interested.
