It's interesting, in my opinion, what happens when you have a group of people (in this case women) who grow up with the understanding that there will be little to no repercussions to their actions.

She was goading him. And yes, she deserved to be hit.

When I see stats about domestic abuse and somebody brings up "what did she do?" You have to understand, situations like this happen a lot.

When girls can act however they want with impunity, you shouldn't be surprised that they push the boundaries.

I've had girls act like this to me before. She knew she could get on his nerves because he can't hit a girl.

She wanted him to hit her so she could claim to be the victim.

In my opinion, saying "hit me" is invitation. You're no longer a victim.

And then at the end, white knight steps in. BULLSHIT.

A woman is just a man, without reason and accountability ~

That's as good as it gets.

I understand that about half of DV cases are mutual - both partners are abusive.

So she instigated the fight, attacked him, and i'm suppose to believe he was wrong for hitting her back?

That's what she's counting on.

This would be a better source for a monthly contest

Maybe you haven't experienced this before, but personally I've run into this scenario a number of times. Women knowing you can't retaliate will do everything in their power to get at you. The rising attitude of american women is not unlike this.

Have you ever tried to get the best of them by sarcastically putting yourself down preemptively? "That's right I'm a giant pussy and I lose." I sometimes wonder how they would respond to that.

You shouldn't be downvoted. What you're doing is treating their taunts as a shit test, which it largely is. You handle shit tests by one of the following methods:

  • Ignore
  • Change the subject
  • Pressure flip
  • Agree & amplify (to absurdity)

theubercuber is describing a version of agree & amplify as a way of dismissing her shit test, nothing more. Granted it sounds like he's doing this by accident and doesn't realize it. Generally speaking, putting yourself down is a bad way to go about it. But taking her taunt and blowing it up (with a healthy dose of snark & sarcasm) is a great way of dismissing her taunt outright.

Her: You're gay!
Me: Oooooh you got me, I'm totally gay. I suck dick morning, noon, and night. (all said in a way as if you're tooling her)

When you do it this way you're not putting yourself down, you're busting on her for saying something stupid.

That works about as well as hitting yourself so the people hitting you will stop. In other words, not at all.

I call it the "jesus". also I agree... not effective

That's strange, since I've found it a successful technique to avoid physical conflict many times. If you don't give a shit what some stranger thinks of you, why wouldn't you just say "you're right, I'm a pussy" and walk away?

If you give a shit what some stranger thinks of you, then yeah you're gonna be giving them a license to control your emotions and reactions.

Trust when I say that I speak from personal experience, and it does not work.

You want him to trust you but you don't trust him.

Different things work for different people. Life isn't black and white.

He was a young kid, so he hasn't gotten the distinction that hitting a girl isn't the same action or method as hitting a guy. If a girl is speakin sideways like that you record it like they did, smear it up and then you make it your personal business to associate with hotter girls then her. You don't rub it in her face, you give her no emotion and you show shes been replaced by a better product. That relegates her to the white knight dregs for a long time, potentially for the rest of her life.

If she lays hands on you, you block and defend in a way that isn't a real fighting stance. Watch old 50's movies, the threat of hitting a girl then deciding not even wasting your time is often worse.

Don't EVER engage a girl on a victim level, that's her calling for emotional vengeance. That is THE EQUIVALENT to a mans weakest moment to having his bros come fuck you up because hes hurt except with women it is never a righteous act, it's unwarrented subconscious bids for entry to their pearly gates.

Is there a name for the "duck and side punch" he does?
I really don't want to advocate violence, but that looked right down cool.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
