Feminism is in its end game phase now if my daily observations are any indication. Wonder how long it will last

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

We shall see - the tramp towards left wing ideology continues so the powers that be will continue to make use of feminism.

Emotional thinking benefits them

while i can appreciate maybe a few points, some things he says just seem pretty stupid:

Guy believes in limited government without welfare? Right wing whacko. Guy believes hard work is eventually rewarded? Wants poor people in Africa to suffer and starve. Guy travels to Ukraine to get laid? Sex tourist Hairy man says he likes to raw dog? Disgusting and foul. (no clue what "to raw dog" means) Promiscuous gay man spreads HIV through raw dogging? It’s okay since he’s gay. Give more taxpayer money to fund HIV research.

and finally the beginning of his conclusion:

"As a man, I can clearly see right and wrong behaviors within my own gender. For example, mixing Coca Cola with Johnnie Walker Black (or better) is wrong. Not lifting weights is wrong." not lifting weights is wrong?

like i said i can appreciate a few of his points and even believe some of them to be true but adding these weird points makes me wonder if he doesnt have an underlying agenda he wants to bringe into the discussion...

like i said im not american and english isnt my 1st language so excuse me for not knowing every single expression in the english language. this is hardly something you learn at school..

What the fuck are you even saying? Do you disagree with some of those points? Which ones? Are you on welfare and offended? What are you talking about

[–]h4ll1k1 point2 points  (9 children) | Copy

i thought i was pretty clear with what im saying... when i used the phrasing "some things he says just seem pretty stupid" you can take a guess whether i agree or disagree with the points. further more you seem to wonder which points i called stupid. if only i had listed them just after that sentence it may have been clearer youre right (i apologise for the horrendous formatting though).

i just dont understand what limited welfare and government has to do with feminism and tbh i think thats a stupid comment from male or female.. while i dont believe hard work necessarily gets rewarded i dont see the connection to starving ppl in africe if you travel to ukraine to get sex... well i think thats actually what a sex tourist constitutes. still no idea what "to raw dog" means. i wont even get in the whole "gay men spread aids/ HIV research" debate and finally the not weight lifting remark... maybe it was joke, then well ok... i may take that back, but since there is a "guys want strong muscles" argument earlier i figured he was serious.

and since youre asking: no im not on welfare and im not offended. i just think its a stupid argument not even related to the topic.

once again i wanna stress that i agree with some or even a lot of the points in the article. what i wanted to say is that i think the whole feminism/mens rights discussion is important to have and bringing in such bs arguments makes it much easier to criticize the cause and therefore undermines the whole thing

[–]TRP Vanguardlegendofpasta2 points3 points  (8 children) | Copy

Are you a guy?

Maybe you should read the article again, I don't think you understood it. He's contrasting that women who travel to Spain to fuck are 'romantic' but men who go to the Ukraine are called sex tourists. He's talking about double standards. Very obviously. VERY OBVIOUSLY. The welfare state is what allows this single mother culture to thrive. It is like fertilizer to a culture of unwed births. It stagnates the economy. Look how productive Georgia is, they have ten million citizens and only 4000 on welfare. Versus the national average of 16 percent of people on welfare.

I'm not going to tell you what raw dogging is. You're on the Internet. You have google.

All men should work out. If you're doing manual labour and get strength that way, it's fine.

You are a troll like no other. You sound like a feminist slapping away at your keyboard with sausage fingers between bites of Ben and Jerry's. Please stop being so willfully ignorant.

[–]h4ll1k3 points4 points  (7 children) | Copy

yes im a guy and no im not a feminist (ppl who know me would laugh at that idea tbh). and i know that doesnt count for much but i honestly wasnt trying to troll. plus im not american so i actually never had ben and jerrys and i dont really know much about georgia.

i understand the double standard idea behind the article and like i said before a few times, i agree with a lot of these points. i agree that these double standards exist, for a lot of ppl, not just feminists.

that aside i personally think some of the points are stupid, for example the welfare argument. so on the welfare argument i would be on the feminist side - because i think it makes you a right wing wacko to talk like that, but im not on the feminist side because for me not only guys who say that are whackos but also females.

so when i started my first comment i may have been unclear. my point was that i find some of his underlying arguments stupid (like the welfare or aids one), probably as stupid as the feminist double standards. plus i also dispute that all feminists hold these double standards (as youre prolly more in contact with them ure prolly also more used to the really extreme ones) and that there is nothing a women could do that would get hate from a feminist.

on a sidenote i think it doesnt really speak for your willingness to bring rational thoughts into this discussion by calling me a troll and calling me fat (i assume thats what the ben and jerrys and sausage fingers comment was about). if you really want to change the direction the discussion in society is headed at the moment i dont think dismissing everybody who isnt 100% in sync with your ideas like that will do much good, though maybe im a little bit naive since this is reddit and if u wanna call somebody a fucktard you can do that i guess.

hey fiach_duhh. i agree with you about a few things. mostly about your last statement that double standard exist and that they are often in favor of women. me calling them "right wing whackos" may make me guilty of being "extravagant, extreme and ridiculous" too i have to admit.

like i said before i dont really wanna get into the whole wellfare argument, mainly because of the language barrier and me coming from a different background than you, but i hoped that you would aknowledge that i dont just "rehash what i've been told to believe" simply by stating my opinion on mens rights issues which goes again almost everybodys opinion around me.

in the end i think, reading your comment, that we both may be close in having the same opinion on a majority of arguments but not all of them and i can appreciate you taking the time to answer in this fashion.

since i realize feminism is mainly put on the "left side" of the political spectrum and me being on that same side you could think i agree with them i have to say im not. id like there to be some kind of "real equality" which factors in certain traits each gender inhibits but im far from the bs the feminists try to feed us resulting in just changing who has the "upper hand". my solution though isnt changing back to the good ole days where women have no rights and stay in the kitchen and all we need is just the "traditional marriage and family" to solve these problems.

summarizing i think, like i said before, were both on the same page on a lot of things and my main concern was him being "extravagant, extreme and ridiculous". add to that that i have a different viewpoint where the problems partly stem from (and asking if that may be the underlying agenda he is trying to push) and you have my first post.

i was actually surprised to see such backlash because in my mind i wasnt really argueing the whole thing but the examples he chose to illustrate his points but maybe that has to put down to me being fairly new to reddit and taking an active part in these kind of discussions (i usually have them head to head with friends and family) in such a format.

The issue is probably to language barrier. It's just very argumentative and it appears very sarcastic, so anything you have said in going to get that backlash.

your superiority in morals, intelligence and the art of discussion makes me remove myself from this discussion. good day sir

[–]TRP Vanguardlegendofpasta-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

At least we can agree on something

[–]soapjackal0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

You failed to make any sense in your critique

-limited government without wealth transfer? So a moral and logical system is only for the rightwing nut job? Plese educate me on all the counties with heavy govt socialist policies(including US) that are doing good - Hard work should be rewarded in reality. This is not true due to your big welfare state. Africa is such a massive clusterfuck at this point that a multilayer solution that includes murdering despotic leaders, helping get local business going, and establishing modern infrastructure is going to fix anything. It was fucked before Europeans, it was fucked and still is by Europeans, and they still try to kill the shit out of each other. Most of it is hell on earth and some charity is not going to help. -guy goes anywhere to get laid = guy -disgusting and foul? (raw dogging) you're a whiny cunt. A male likes sex without a condom and he doesn't shave his chest. Oh god the sinner is SO EVIL AND GROSS. -if your gay and you get HIV from your poor behavior why should anybody else have to pay for it? Personally I think taxes are extortion but even if you need taxes you can't justify having gays steal money from schools and roads for no condom sex. I wear a condom to keep myself clean, so should they. -it's wrong as a man to not try to bring your body back to a stage where you could survive without society. It's not masculine. - feminism affects all these points since it requires weak men and socialist policy. It's related.

Learn how to actually make a statement that makes sense. I had to read this 3 times and I'm still not sure if you're a troll/sarcastic as shit.

[–]h4ll1k-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

fuck youre stupid... tried to avoid the formatting and still im not really sure what the hell you wanna say, if you understood my critique or if you read my other posts.

i was done with this post before and wont get into the whole thing again tbh...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
