I have mixed feelings/erotic associations about this issue:

  • Short hair works well for certain faces (although, as the article says, faces that look good with short hair tend to look good no matter what the haircut). It's one thing to cut hair like a hedge with no other intention than making it easier to wash in the morning, it's a different thing when hair has been cut by a pro who knows how to make beautiful lines around the face.

  • Short hair exposes the neck and the ears, which can be quite erotic.

  • Sometimes it works in the same way as say a woman wearing a man's shirt. The one chunky, hard, masculine element draws your attention to the softness, curviness, femininity of the rest of the package.

I can't even get a consistent line of thought out of this article. From the very start:

I am among the many men who absolutely despise short hair on women.

"Many men" is a far cry from "all men." Many men prefer blondes, and sometimes women dye their hair blonde. The rest--brunettes; short-hairs?--maybe they're happy to target the rest of the dating pool, or maybe their hair choice is not an optimized game-strategy, which they may even know and not care about. In a sub dedicated to helping men win that game, I don't see why we'd care if women optimize their strategy.

women are much more concerned about hair health than men are.

The entire point of this article is that men (or at least the author) care a hell of a lot more about women's hair than they do. Where they're satisfied with short or long, he is satisfied only with long.

This might actually be true--probably fewer men are hair length purists than women are--but then, that undermines the entire article. Why would women take his advice unless they are dating him?

Finally,

only a very pretty woman can look attractive in a short hairstyle,

I don't think this is true. I know lots of women that just don't carry long hair very well. Their decision is to look (relatively) bad in long hair or look (relatively) better in shorter hair but upset the men who are hair-length purists.

He's entitled to his opinion and it's not an unpopular one but this reads more like a personal ad than valuable, general advice.

imo shorter hair on women is sexy.

I think it's generally true, up to a point. I think anywhere from chin length to bra-strap length is cute, but I'm not as fond of the really really long hair (butt length or longer) that some girls have. At that point it just seems somewhat boring and inconvenient.

but I'm not as fond of the really really long hair (butt length or longer) that some girls have.

Son of man and I were discussing this the other day. Horse girls tend to have the butt length hair. What's up with that?

Super short and super long are both negatives in my book.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
