TL;DR
The definition of the word "ressentiment" from a well-known internet encyclopaedia.
Body
Ressentiment is the French translation of the English word resentment, from Latin intensive prefix re-, and sentir "to feel".
(...) ressentiment is a sense of hostility directed at that which one identifies as the cause of one's frustration, that is, an assignment of blame for one's frustration. The sense of weakness or inferiority and perhaps jealousy in the face of the "cause" generates a rejecting/justifying value system, or morality, which attacks or denies the perceived source of one's frustration.
This value system is then used as a means of justifying one's own weaknesses by identifying the source of envy as objectively inferior, serving as a defense mechanism that prevents the resentful individual from addressing and overcoming their insecurities and flaws.
The ego creates an enemy in order to insulate itself from culpability.
Lessons learned
Haters gonna hate, but some of them make up the whole morality and belief system to justify their weakness.
MGTOW/LTR/follow Christ/follow JP/... as much as you want, only make sure - for your own sake - that you have all your shit in order and this is your real choice and not a ressentiment - making up morality fuelled by superiority complex ego shit in your head in order to feel better about oneself.

If you're lusting, sleeping around as a red pill Christian, you're walking in darkness.

If you're sleeping around as a Christian, then most likely you're not really a Christian. "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV

So...works matter?
We'd get along great.

Well, works matter in that they show that your faith is real. No amount of works can get you into heaven. You see, Ephesians 2:8-9 says:
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
whereas 2 Nephi 25:23 in the Book of Mormon says:
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.
That's an important difference. Faith without works is dead, but works do not justify a person or enable them in any way to gain eternal life - they are only proof of being truly born again.

Jesus, dude. It was a joke based on my username
[–]rocknrollchuck 1 points [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
Well I figured with a Mormon username, you were a Mormon. Pretty simple. Most Mormons are pretty serious about their faith.
Proselytizing is mandatory for any person who claims to follow Jesus. Penn Jillette said it better than I ever could.
But I'm also not here to argue or moralize. Simply giving my 2¢ on matters of faith, since that conversation had already been started by others. Some of us actually take it seriously. I'm not here to preach - that's what r/RPChristians is for.

Just remember: Proselytizing is virtue signaling, is moralizing, is proscribing behavior for others, is a banned behavior, and required of Christians.
If you're going your own way, stick to the description and go. I don't need to hear you are leaving, nor need an explanation.
The fewer tools one allows himself, the less likely he'll control his outcomes. Platitudes like "Jesus, take the wheel" and "The juice isn't worth the squeeze" are two sides of the same scarcity coin.

I believe that It is NOT required of Christians and your post is baiting Christians in this forum to argue with you. But rather than arguing with you - maybe we can agree that we find it very un-attractive of Christians who push their beliefs and judge others openly - that isn't inviting, it actually pushes people away.
But let's also make an agreement - I won't "prescribe behavior" or "moralize" some of your tools (i.e. plates/cheating if those are tools you use) - and I would appreciate in kind if you don't moralize some of my tools (i.e. prayer and supplication).
Thanks!

Don't think anyone is moralizing. Pretty sure we're judging you.
Isn't your default position to be cucked by God?
This statement clashes with pretty much everything over at RPC - who routinely and continually post about the role of a Christian is to spread the word of God and to make the glorification of God a central theme in an individual's mission.
Are you sure you're not a false prophet and a fake Christian?

white knighting for rulezerodad?
You heard what I said - now don't be judgey bro.

I don't write to bait or hear myself speak nonsense. I'm too much of an apathetic midwit to go that route.
Please read Matthew 28: 18-20 and draw your own conclusions regarding your obligation to spread the word of the Lord.
I personally don't care, and if you do, that's your choice.

Come on! The great commission specifically instructed to not argue and shake the dust off while you go to the next person. Jesus was very specific to not be as dick when proselytizing.
You hellbound faggots will be singing a different tune when Jesus dropkicks you off the cliffs of glory. Except rule O dad. We will find a way to let him in but the rest of you are out of luck.
