So I started the Stronglifts program after the [60 Days of Dread Week 1] (https://www.reddit.com/r/marriedredpill/comments/42iux1/60_days_of_dread_week_1_lifting_for_life/) post. Right now I'm at:

  • Squat - 240lbsx5 (2 plates and then some!)
  • Bench - 172.5x5 lbs
  • Deadlift - 285x5 (315 2RM!)
  • OHP - 125lbs - due to shoulder injury doing alternative stuff now and PT to get shoulder back to healthy. OHP with barbell aggravates it.

I also do some accessory work after the stronglifts, assisted chinups, tris, bis, back extensions - almost like Ice Cream Fitness. I also occasionally push the sled around or jump rope.

It looks like I have some good novice gains. http://i53.tinypic.com/x0ph54.png

I have deloaded twice on squats and once on bench.

I'm still progressing with this linear program and I'm going to run the program thru completely and do what the program recommends.(switching to 3x5 and then 1x5), but I think sometime this fall I'll need to switch to something else.

I'm still a fat ass (6' 215lbs), but my calories and macros are on point and I'm losing about 1lb a week since Feb. I'm doing /r/leangains style - I was doing keto, but my lifts were suffering due to no glycogen in my muscles and I feel better with including carbs. I have a long way to 10% body fat - probably about a year more, but I'm in this for the long haul.

Any suggestions on what to do after I've run out Stronglifts? I have been reading a lot about intermediate programs. Some recommend Madcow. Other like 5/3/1 or Texas Method. Others say do more a bodybuilding routine or PPL.

My goal is to preserve lean mass while cutting (and maybe make some muscle) and increase strength and asthetics. Attractiveness is #1 goal, but deadlifting 4 plates/squatting 3 plates/benching 2 plates is also a goal.
