This is just a short FR on frame maintenance to help the new guys.

Over the weekend my wife decided she was going to be in a bad mood. She has a shitty situation at work, which I understand and sympathize with, but I've made it clear that she needs to control her attitude and leave those emotions at the office. I do offer her support and a chance to vent from time to time, but on the whole the situation does not change and therefore does not need to be discussed constantly.

Long story short, she was being just generally bitchy and snippy with me for no reason. About little things, unimportant things. Blue pill me would have attempted to placate her, soothe her with words, and would have been on eggshells the whole time. RP me finally had enough. After she yelled at me for something trivial I told her "Fuck off," then walked away.

At first she tried to be sarcastic, to break my frame. I held frame and went stoic, offering her no emotion and few words. She finally asked if I was mad, with the apologetic doe eyes. I simply said (without emotion of any kind) "No, why would I be mad?" She came and sat on my lap, saying she was sorry and knows that she has to leave the emotional baggage at the office and that she shouldn't treat me that way because I'm her husband. I reinforced that message, held her, and told her I forgave her. She was in a good mood the rest of the night (culminating with quality sex later on).

No matter what happens guys, maintain frame.

TL;DR Maintain frame, always.
