So I have been lifting and reading and slowly upping dread and lately my wife is actively coming out and asking me if I'm cheating. I'm not as I'm too much of a beta to attract a woman but her hamster sure thinks so. I was ok with the questions but now the behaviour has turned to my wife actively sabotaging my new hobby. I am taking up target shooting and did the safety course before Christmas and have to apply for my gun licence. As part of the licence application they request a signature from the wife to confirm she has no fears of me obtaining the licence. If she does not sign the form they will call her. She refused to sign the form because I'm an alchoholic. Quit 3 years ago. I'm pissed but I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or going Rambo.

Edit: 17-04-2017 Based on the replies I have received it would appear that my ego is out of check and I need to do the work. Thx.

Perhaps the elephant in the room is that fucking ego that stands in your way of improving so much, that cheating comments, tackling alcoholism and depression are attaboys instead of accusations of failing beta behavior looking for validation

It might not seem like it in the moment, but this isn't a bad thing in the long run.

Your gun license is temporarily on hold. Use this as an opportunity to exercise patience. This shouldn't be more than a week or two delay unless you fuck it all up, as I expect something is going to have to give and I'm sure she will eventually want to have "a very serious talk" with you.

Pre-emptive: this is almost certainly not going to be a Main Event.

Do not whine or argue with her about signing the form. Do not let her see that you're pissed - don't give her that power over you. Don't make a shitty comment, don't say anything that shows you are pissed off. Do not let her have any power over your emotions here or she will use this as leverage to manipulate you back into beta behaviors.

What you're missing is that this is all working. If she tries to pull you into a fight about you cheating, you have opportunities to put into practice what you've learned so far.

What do you do with women who are bitchy and shitty to you? Withdraw your attention and affection.

She wants to be a bitch and not sign the form that helps your hobby? Ok, smile and tell her goodbye as you're leaving to go to the gym again. Take it out on the iron for now.

Good wives get attention. Good wives don't sabotage their husband's hobbies.

The more you DGAF, the more you're going to win. You want to be like Jocko here and just respond to everything happening with "Good."

Mine has her hamster in full gear, went off on me concerning just about everything. Said I thought I was "King Shit". I just smiled and nodded. Then she said I should find somebody else to sleep with because "you think you're hot shit". I smiled again and A&A'd "I'll pick one out of line". Then I went out to my garage to clean from a range trip.

The next morning she rolled over and initiated.
