Tatoos are signs of risk-seeking behavior (or at the very least, demonstrate not being risk adverse).

Women find this sexy in men, which is why women find tattoos on men sexy.

Female solipsism says that if women find it sexy, they will try to emulate it.

Men do not find risk-seeking behavior in women attractive, especially in long-term mates, because it shows poor judgement that might affect offspring.

Men prefer debt-free virgins without tattoos.

Anecdotally, I can confirm this.

On the Thot-scale, tattoos are one step above piercings and one step below fake tits.

[–]metallicdrama51 points52 points  (8 children) | Copy

But face tattoos are above fake tits

Idk dude I know lots of girls 18-22 with fake titties, not F cups or anything crazy but C's, just because they had like A's naturally. Doesn't seem to be that uncommon and although I haven't personally dated these girls they don't seem to be super thots...

Only reason I know is because my gf told me they had them, would never have guessed myself

[–]oooKenshiooo10 points11 points  (8 children) | Copy

If she breathes, she is a THOT. ;) She may be discreet about it, but the base mode of operation remains the same.

But srly, fake tits are a major upgrade in the public relations department. You would not invest in those, if you were not interested in the best possible relations - or quantity thereof.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (5 children) | Copy

As a 20 year old who is 30k in debt for university, I have trouble understanding how anyone my age could even fork over the money for such a massive operation such as getting implants, lol. I mean, even if they have loaded parents...that's not something you ask your parents for money to do, is it? xD

[–]oooKenshiooo5 points6 points  (4 children) | Copy

It's easy.

If they are not whoring it out with a sugar daddy, they either use credit or ask their parents for a loan on something they can already afford. Or they safe money and mooch livelyhood off roommates / beta billys.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Sure, some people might get a sugar daddy or mooch off their parents, heard that all before. Probably couldn't mooch that much off roommates though, lol. I've had roommates all my life, currently live in a house with 5 roommates...the most they can get away with is stealing my food a couple of times! It is annoying that a lot of them do steal food. Steal money though and you're gonna get put out.

[–]heartbroken_nerd0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

More like put down, amirite? Rofl. The point is that you don't notice as it happens, anyway. They're shit at their job if you know any different.

Sure. But a quality woman would work on her character, cultivate healthy habbits and be modest about her sexlife.

Fake tits are the equivalent of buying a flashy sports car to attract partners. It is a shortcut, it may be enjoyable - but it is superficial nontheless.

[–]Trphello1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

are you in LA? There are no real titties in LA...

[–]Endorsed ContributorPopeman795 points6 points  (6 children) | Copy

Disagree about fake tits. Now they're super common, all across social classes. Some classy girls have them too.

[–]oooKenshiooo32 points33 points  (2 children) | Copy

Because they are classy sluts. ;)

[–]Endorsed ContributorPopeman798 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy

If we define sluts by women who give it up easily, I don't think it applies. I know a lot of women with fake tits who have a low n-count.

Thing is, you only notice the ones who have their huge fake tits on display. Those ones are usually sluts. But fake tits are more widespread than that, it's just that the other ones are more shy about it and we don't notice them.

Also, it's very relative regarding to culture. In Europe it's very rare to spot fake tits, although there are a lot of them, but they are smaller. In the US it's more common, and women put them more on display. In some parts of Latin America it's VERY common, and it's absolutely not an indicator of slutiness.

Source: I have lived in all these places and love fake tits.

[–]oooKenshiooo2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

In my book, a slut is someone who uses sex transactionally or as leverage for the majority of the time. And you can do that with an n-count of one.

I also happen to enjoy some fake titties once in a while, but the platform they were attached to never really did it for me in the long run.

[–]Endorsed Contributoritiswr1tten3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Agreed. I used to be self righteous about any cosmetic surgery being an LTR killer but I give a pass for fake tits, they're flat out socially acceptable now.

Nosejob, fillers though? I ain't paying to fix your fucked up genes down the road. Those are LTR killers.

[–]TheStoicCrane-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

"Classy" is in the character. If a chick is willing to get fake tits it calls her char into question.

[–]Endorsed ContributorPopeman792 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I respect your opinion although I disagree. I wouldn't want to convince you, it leaves the rest of us with more women with awesome boobs!

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

There's nothing wrong with fake tits

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Well, they can be hard on the woman, leaving them with less sensation and making it more difficult to breastfeed if they have children. But even visually, real is just better. Lol.

Pro tip might be is to find smart girls. I met this Boston Uni chick who was at the top of her class, so she got a full ride. No student loans is a good start.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Pretty sure smart women who are on a full scholarship aren't going to go for anyone who believes in this subreddit, which bases its morals mostly on trashy women.

[–]DigitalDragonSlayer1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I live near a beach and this past summer was the worst I’ve seen as far as young, cute girls being littered with ink. They are so lost in whatever fantasy they are trying to live out they are giving no thought to their future as I’m seeing more legs, full arms and even onto the hands tattoos. Their lives will be full of pump and dumps and the wall will come much sooner for these skanks.

Just dropped one the other day. Literally laughed in her face when she started to give me "the talk". I shouldn't have but it was so ridiculous as we had only been fucking for around 2 months and she had shown far too many red flags (already taking herself out of the running for anything beyond plate).

Anyway, tears... goodbye. Next.

[–]KewlThanks16 points17 points  (4 children) | Copy

What do you think if she wants to get one?

Ah hell I know the answer already.

[–]1Self-honest28 points29 points  (3 children) | Copy

Dude. It's cool if she wants to get one. Sluts are great. Don't be looking for commitment or expecting to find a girl worthy of it. It's the exception to the rule.

[–]KewlThanks7 points8 points  (2 children) | Copy

She has a low body count but yeah

[–]1Self-honest34 points35 points  (1 child) | Copy

Who cares? Can you actually verify that? Don't trick yourself into thinking she's special. When someone shows you who they really are, believe them.

Political correctness asks that we pretend that the correlation doesn't exist, and act as if it is a fashion choice, or a 'random' occurrence. "She's not a slut, 'it doesn't mean anything', she just happened to want to wear a choker today and a crop-top blouse that reveals her tramp stamp...

Does that political-correctness mean you should be reactionary, keep it real, and harass and/or bully the woman? No. Of course not. Treat her with respect. Don't 'call it out'. Go with the flow and play the tribe's game. It's more about knowledge giving you the power to think freely.

[–]rad_dynamic47 points48 points  (0 children) | Copy

Or just: think differently, act like others.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, calling stuff out like that makes you look like the feminists we are fighting against. Most people already know the unspoken signs, pointing them out only makes you look like a nob.

[–]RealMcGonzo7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

She's not a slut, she's just trying to "find herself". The excuse list is longer than one from a cheetos munching, mom's-basement-dwelling, WoW BetaHerb.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I totally agree with this. The way someone dresses tells you a lot about them - are they well-off or are they broke? Where do they come from? Do they put a lot of importance on their appearance? What is their style? What is their personality (relaxed/making a statement/professional)? Oftentimes you can gouge whether you may or may not get along with someone from their style. But regardless, we should never bully anyone for how they dress. Not even if they're stark naked in the middle of the street, lol. Their human rights.

I don’t hate tattoos, i hate the epidemic of cheap nonsensical tattoos. Back when i hang out with betas in high school i had this friend who tattooed rick and morty characters. A fucking cartoon that you watched once, and you somehow thought it would be appropriate to scar yourself with for the rest of your life. Today this guy bitches that people think he’s gay. Long term thinking is dead in this generation

in fact every woman I've seen with ink looks worse

Agreed. It's like facial piercings. I always think.. "oh man, she could've been really hot. But nah"

[–]SalporinRP6 points7 points  (3 children) | Copy

I might get some backlash on here but a really well-done tattoo on a man can look pretty badass. But it's more about enhancing the alpha image rather than creating it.

For instance, having an awesome sleeve tattoo is gonna make you look like an idiot if you're a fatty, but will make you look badass if you're a tanned adonis.

[–]justabawss5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

To each their own bro, it's ridiculous to shit talk someone on preferences, am I gonna shit talk someone for liking asian girls or latina girls even if they aren't my preference? No everybody has their preferences and if you're aware of your preferences then good for you

[–]SalporinRP5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

It's not about preferences it's about facts. In GENERAL, girls with tattoos are much more likely to not be good LTR material. In GENERAL.

Obviously there will be exceptions.

[–]justabawss0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

was replying to the dude saying "i might get some backlash on here" for his opinions on tats on men

[–]willbrown7244 points45 points  (2 children) | Copy

I think tattoos just happen to be trending more among women these days due to social media influence. I would say most women that do have a tattoo have one maybe two and they’re generally in places like the rib cage or arm. Tattoos on girls making them sluts or more risk averse is a more subjective thing than saying girls that go out to the bar Thursday through Saturday night get laid more often than not.

[–]John_Smith_legend35 points36 points  (0 children) | Copy

women are sheep by nature, they fall in line with the herd. its a survival mechanism that is hard wired in their brain (or lack thereof). if something is trendy they will do it, even if it makes no sense at all to a logical person. some examples that boggles the rational mind: removing eyelashes and painting a fake one on, having bangs covering half their head one week, then having no bangs to the point of showing a 5 head the following week. There are many more but i think my point has been made.

I call tattoos, "self-inflicted, career limiting body disfigurements".

I have employees with tattoos, but they are required to keep them covered at all times. That applies to both men and women. No visible tats.

[–]xjustinx228 points9 points  (9 children) | Copy

That's wack. What industry?

[–]1BoogersAreTasty19 points20 points  (8 children) | Copy

Financial services.

Look, I have no problem with tattoos. If you want to get'em, then do so by all means.

But the reality is that there are consequences to those choices. I've never had anyone say to me, "Well u/boogersaretasty, I'd invest $5,000,000 with you, but you just don't have any tattoos".

Conversely, I've lost at least one large deal because an employee didn't cover their tattoos.

Youthful decisions have consequences that will effect you the rest of your life. Choose wisely.

When it comes to tattoos, I'm completely libertarian on them. I am 100% for you getting all the tattoos you want.

But if you want to work for me, you will keep them covered. No questions asked. And if you can't cover them, I won't be hiring you.

That choice you've made has effectively limited your options for the rest of your life.

And please note: I'm not saying this to put you down or insult you. We're on the redpill here, so we've got to deal with reality. And the reality is....well....I just spelled out clearly.

I genuinely and truly wish you the best!

[–]1BoogersAreTasty0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Even if you thought it through for a long time, it's still a limiting decision.

Here's the way it was described to me by the CEO of a very large insurance company over dinner one night:

Getting a tattoo is like saying, "I really like these pants! I'm gonna wear them for the rest of my life".

Like it or not, when you get a tattoo, even a well thought-out tattoo, there is a large contingency of people that find that off-putting. That is the chance you are taking.

I'd be hard pressed to find anyone that is put-off by someone who chooses not to get tattooed.

[–]Krypteian4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

What are the implications of a tattoo-shaming comment in a popular reddit thread being downvoted?

Is it that popular reddit is a concentrated representation of the emotional beta types? The nerds who wear thick glasses with beards, usually wear tattoos more often than my lifting buddies.

[–]Mgtow_troaway4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy

Briefly dated a girl a while back with tons of tattoos, she was fun in bed but a nervous wreck. She had a color touch up scheduled during our time together and I told her not to get any more tattoos because she's making herself less and less attractive with each one.

Man that was intense fallout. Needless to say I kicked her to the curb. For someone who kept saying they were "for her" and an expression of her artistry, and that tattoos don't have the stigma they used to, she sure had some intense triggers surrounding them.

Man or woman, if you have tattoos, have some god damn confidence in your decision. Be able to take criticism without an infantile conniption.

[–]1RevolutionaryPea74 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy

Currently plating a girl with tattoos. Also really fun in bed but I could never upgrade her to girlfriend. She keeps saying she wants to get another tattoo and the last one was like a month ago. I just ignore it whenever she mentions it but I'm so close to saying the same as you did. The one she got a month ago made her worse and any future ones will only do the same.

I'll probably tell her soon as I'm really curious what her reaction will be. It will probably lead to me saying they are by far the least attractive part of her and subsequently dropping her I guess.

[–]Mgtow_troaway2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Glad to hear i'm not the only one. When I told her, I actually worked with a mutual female friend to craft the softest and most gentle way to tell her. Partially because I unconsciously could tell this was gonna be a shitshow, and partially because I wanted to give her no wiggle room to pull the "it's the way you said it" card. I think doing it that way actually made her all the more intense in her reaction because she couldn't turn it on me as easily.

Basically she flipped out, then spent a week trying to damage my reputation to people that I don't really give a fuck about anyway. Then immediately starting hooking up with a string of randos with tattoos to make herself feel better.

Looking back on it i'm lucky she didn't try to damage my property or stalk me or something. However one silver lining though is it's a great way to get rid of a plate, because she will ultimately conclude she's more "mature" than you about tattoos and then unconsciously avoid you like the plague.

If I could do it over again I actually think I would tried out that faux-beta tactic where I start acting really needy and she looses attraction and decides she can do better. Definitely less chaotic.

[–]Frogs_Of_War72 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy

To a man, there is nothing more attractive than femininity, and beautiful soft female skin. Any significant tattoo, diminishes this.

Example: Look at this monstrosity Cheryl Cole ruined her ass with. It's an abomination.

[–]The_Noble_Lie1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

Do tatoos make skin not soft?

[–]Frogs_Of_War72 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

I haven't noticed tattooed skin being less soft, but it's the optics. A beautiful soft tit, if it has a flaming skull tattooed on it, is somewhat in-congruent.

[–]The_Noble_Lie0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

What about a feather? Lol

(Reptilian skin pattern for that matter would be quite hysterical)

[–]Frogs_Of_War70 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, but the point is, you cannot improve on a tit. It's a design classic. Sure, there are women with great tits, with tattoos on those tits (like Belladonna).

But tattoos don't improve them.

[–]largepaycheckaddict19 points20 points  (4 children) | Copy

From my experience this is a very nuanced topic. There are excellent high quality tattoos and there is tasteless work like a scribbly fake tribal some thot got tattooed in her drunk in some guy’s kitchen.

I’ve met and known many tatted up women being a part of music and the arts most of my life. Yeah some of them are sexually promiscuous, but many of themwho get good quality work done tend to pair up with higher status more alpha guys for long term.

I really don’t understand the anti tattoo sentiment in this thread. I have known PLENTY of sluts who have 0 tattoos, and back in the day; I have known plenty of little cock tease hos who were (to my knowledge) virgins.

The only way to determine if a woman is truly a slut is to simply spend time around her and observe who she is for yourself. You’ll find sluts and more LTR type loyal women everywhere from church to a biker bar.

Agree, dont have any myself but it is hilarious how people here are judgemetal about it. I treat tat and nontat the same, who gives a fuck. Try spending your time better then bashing tattoos on reddit.

[–]chaosmech2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

The big deal is that typically tattoos are spur-of-the-moment decisions that are done when drunk or young and stupid that have long-lasting consequences. It's not the tattoo, it's the mindset behind it that the tattoo puts on display: "I can't control my impulses and I never think ahead". It's like young single moms; most of them are just really dumb, didn't use protection and brought a kid into the world without any forethought.

That said, if somebody puts a lot of thought into a cool tattoo and it has a deeper meaning behind it, that's something you could potentially get behind.

Tattoos aren't the problem, they're an indicator of a bigger problem.

[–]-BKRaiderAce-3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Agreed. My girl and I have tattoos. What is traditionally viewed as an impulsive decision is quite the opposite for us. There is a thorough vetting of artists, months if not a year worth of financial planning. My most recent piece was over a year in the making with a world class artist. And my girl is pretty much the same, especially in terms of the quality of the art. Seems like some of the dudes in this thread just can't wrap their heads around some people having different tastes than them.

[–]phil_stein6 points7 points  (6 children) | Copy

I'm a pretty easy going and tolerant father, but I have an iron clad rule with my kids, no tattoo's or you are permanently cut off financially. It's a stupid, trendy and self-inflicted social wound and short term thinking. So far so good. I find tattoos hideous on women and it's an immediate demerit. Any employee I have with tattoos I consider a poor decision maker and would not trust with anything important.

[–]Azaingod3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

What’s the policy with your sons?

[–]phil_stein0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Applies to all my kids. Once they don't need my money, have at it. But I assume by that time, they'll have outgrown wanting one.

[–]patrixxxx2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Oh. Father of two here. I haven't talked about them about this even out of fear of putting some "rebellious thoughts" in their heads. It would be one of the worst things I could imagine my kids did. It blows my mind how people these days put ugly/stupid/annoying marks on their bodies. What's wrong with people?

[–]zue33 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

That's retarded. Tattoos on men can be helpful in garnering attention and respect and telling your daughters no basically means that once they don't need you anymore they're going to go crazy and do everything you didn't want them to.

[–]Nicolas06315 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

Really ? You'll not find tattoo on politicians or CEO or whatever. And overall you'll find them far less often in wealthy educated families.

If for nothing else, they are are an indicator of your social class and I can't see how writting literally: "I am most likely from a low status social class and impulsive" is going to ever help.

It doesn't really count if everybody is thinking like that or not, what count is more people think like that than the opposite. Sorry but tattoo are not know to really help on anything. People that look nice with tattoo also look nice without and don't get the stigma.

Somebody that is rational isn't going to do something that is more harmful than beneficial just because.

[–]Millhousegoku7770 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]donkeydodo4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy

When it comes to myself, I’ve just found tattoos cool ever since I was a kid; I believe I view it a bit as scars, it’s something not all-too-vanilla that stands out relative to what’s considered normal.

When it comes to why I like women with tats, I think it’s because of a) it’s still a bit ’rebellish’, tattoos are still partly viewed as something only criminals and sailors do and if someone has the guts to stand up against a norm which defines people to some standard, I find it attractive because someone going their own way without giving a flying fuck about what anyone else thinks is generally just attractive,

and b) I appreciate art; if you actually look at the tattoos, most of them are very artistic and have some personal, sometimes cringeworthy meaning to said owner of the tattoo, and that is something I find cool as well.

I guess you could view it as a certain fashion; some people like Gucci, others tattoos, some like both.

[–]TheStoicCrane2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

You do realize thatvvas they age the tats merge into one massive blotch and before less defined right?

My parents think it will lower my societal value by looking like a “thug.”

Mom & Dad are right on the money with this one. You are self-employed, image is everything. If you are deadset on getting a tattoo, get it in a place that is easily concealable.

You current situation without tattoo isn't an indicator of how you would have fared if you had this quite visible tattoo and how it would affect you once you have it.

Once you have it, you'll make a public statement like people that have a ring in their nose, blue hairs or whatever similar stuff.

Actually depending of who you are interracting with it can be an improvement or detrimental. But you likely know if you are an heavy metal singer, or a commercial selling products to conservative people.

The thing is you tattoo isn't going to make a great impression on that many people but it is going for sure to make a bad impression on a good share of them.

That's true for the higher end of things. Your buddy performs a difficult and valuable function, so he gets social leeway. If you're answering phones at a help desk, typical people aren't going to give your sleeve the same consideration.

It's the same dynamic you see in sexual relations. Alphas get away with shit betas can't even consider because they've got social capital to spare. In fact, they can do things and increase their capital that would send a beta into a complete crash and burn.

There are clothing pieces I own which I really love and they are worth every penny. But I'm not gonna wear them every god damn day.

And now think about thinks you used to wear 10 years ago. There are definitely ones I look and say "man did I really liked them". There is also that.

Hell, no! I don't want to waste time on a chick to get her in bed only to find that her entire torso has been tatted in ink!

Overall they are 100% right. There are completely obvious things in life like, you are better off with higher level of education. People like to argue that isn't true and dismiss the stats that show for example people with a high level of education get 2-4X income on average. Their choice.

This doesn't means you can't be successful if you don't follow the advice, but there also no reason to dismiss it just so you can rebel. Back to education, even if you are not interrested in make lot of money, you could still work less. I could work only 50%, 2,5 day a week and still make more than most in my country.

There the same for tattoo, there are not many real pro argument to get one and many practical cons you are going to experiment.

I was having the same problem, thinking about getting a sleeve for 2 years, and i got it, i said fuck it, im going to look the way i want to fucking look and the rest of the world can really go and fuck themselves if they think that a little of kink can define a person(tattoos exist looong ago, in fact like 80 years ago, usually the marines and the powerfull family kids only had tattoos, tribe warriors, respected people etc)

Funny thing is that i worked as a salesman and i was a little scared that my sales were going to decrease cause of my tattos, but funny thing is that i was closing the same amount of sales, and sometimes my tattoos helped as conversation.(i have some people told me that they hate tattoos, and after a little of talk, they end up liking it, i think that if your tattoo looks cool and it has a meaning that you can translate to people, a lot of people are going to resonate with you at certain points of the "why" of your tattoo, and that is going to trust you even more)

I dont know man, do what you want, if people think that a little ink is going to low your self, that is fucking retarded, you are what you bring to the table, not what ink you have or dont have, and now a lot of famous people have tattoos, so has become a lot of more socially accepted(cause people is so dumb that if they see somebody that is famous with a tattoo, they start accepting that, like it has changed but is the same shit)

[–]Nicolas06310 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

If you are right, there also absolutely no reason to put some ink. You explain it has meaning it is cool and all. So it has meaning and you want it. Accept that other people will put meaning on your ink too, not only yourself, and not necessarily the meaning you want them to have.

[–]Gabitandil0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

The reason to put it is that i like it, i like how i can display art through my skin, and i like a lot the fact that it makes me look different

[–]Nicolas06310 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

I think the key point is this need to be different. You can't at the same time be visibly different and hope to have an easier job to get accepted.

Just see how foreiners, people with different skin colors or origin are dealt with or how teenagers exclude people that they think don't belong to the group to see why you may experiment at time.

Just recently I read that a restaurant refused entry to a tattooed woman.

I agree this isn't nice or respectful and it will not automatically happen as the rest of your personality is also important, but this is to be considered in your decision.

[–]Gabitandil0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

You are right with a lot of things that you say, but at the end of the day i think you have to do what makes you feel good, be who you wanna be, look how you want to look, etc , and always take the consequences for which decisions you make

[–]Nicolas06311 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yep that's fine as long as you accept everything that come with it. Then it make sence :).

Tattoo removal services would be a worthwhile investment.

I don't see many Women with tramp stamps these days, it's like they suddenly dissapeared.

Nothing makes me happier than discover some chick has one or more tattoos, sure they look silly, but the fuck probability rises exponentially and thats all I care about. Hell , try this experiment, offer to pay for some small tattoo, for some fuck of course, you will be amazed on how many young and dumb thots will accept.

[–]SMRII0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

In the past perhaps when tattoos were the counter-culture. Now counter culture is the norm

Plus, AWALT. A tattoo won't change that

[–]10xdada0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Tattoos represent the things you gave up on.

Perhaps statically, but my last 2 had Zero tattoos. Huge Thots. they made up for lack of tattoos with daddy issues.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
