Right now would be a good time to remind everybody to hit up https://www.trp.red and verify your name. TRP.RED accounts will be used on our new forums when they open.

The proposed funding prompted a wave of criticism on Reddit, which many of its users see as a bastion of free speech.

Laughs in RED

my thoughts exactly.

As many predicted, Reddit quarantined us in order to make its platform more palatable to investors. It's not far fetched to think that the guillotine is going to fall through our necks soon.

TRP marked all groups as "quarantined" so investors know what to delete. Meanwhile they don't really delete the group themselves so the user head-count can be sold. Win-win for reddit.

$3B valuation for this heap of shit website... LOL

The venture capital people have more money than common sense

So they're going to sell user data then. Interesting.

They don't care about money as much as they care about acquisition.

About the quarantine, this just happened the other day. If you use the official app, any community on quarantine is being fully blocked. Notice how there's no option to continue like in the website. This doesn't happen with other clients though.

China has been infiltrating American for years. They also have a huge pull on Hollywood.

[–]largepaycheckaddict20 points21 points  (4 children) | Copy

China you say? I can think of another notoriously international rootless ethnic group doing the same..

[–]Gaboyski_7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

I bet it's the Amish ya dirty goy

toothless ethnic group

Oh come on, British teeth aren’t that bad

The eternal Anglo our to oppress the Irish and Scots all across the globe!

[–]PS2Errol6 points7 points  (3 children) | Copy

And of course America would never infiltrate any other country or attempt to interfere in the governments or internal affairs of any other country.

Oh, wait.

I do not care.

That sounds a little blind for someone that has "taken" the red pill.

I don't think this sub will get targeted by Tencent. The Chinese are not fans of feminism.

Also, they only have a 5% share anyway. It's still cuck Spez and company in charge.

If the sub gets banned this is my prediction:

The Chinese will demand that certain subs be axed because they harm them poltically/dislike the ideas they espouse. Spez will comply at the same time taking out the subs he personally dislikes all the while claiming his hands were tired because of the Chinese investors and insisting he had no hand in it.

If this seems far fetched, Reddit/Spez already did this basically this exact thing about 5 years ago and it’s how Spez got to where he is today.

The Chinese would get a tremendous advantage in opening up their Internet to the rest of the world, it's gonna be a two-way process with not only Western social media companies like Facebook and Google investing in China but also Baidu, Weibo, RenRen and other Chinese companies setting up shop in the US and other Western countries. It's not only about the increased market but with the increasing politicization of Western Internet platforms in the name of feminism and progressivism many users in the West could flock to these Chinese websites.

Hell if there's a Chinese version of Reddit right now and it gets to compete in the Western market we're gonna have a bunch of SJWs suddenly wondering why they lost revenue and investments.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
